The meat was juicy and had a nice flavour. The fries were seasoned well and were crispy while being soft on the inside. The pork ribs were decent. The sauce was nice. They weren't fall of the bone tender, but still tender enough. The coleslaw on the side was very sour and spicy. It was more like spicy sauerkraut rather than coleslaw. The seafood boil was underwhelming small especially for the price. The shrimp were overcooked. The clams were very small. The muscles still had beards. The potatoes and corn were cooked nicely. It needed more salt and sauce. The sweet teas came unsweetened and while it did came with sugar on the side - the grains were too big to actually stir in. And I would like the mentioned that my cup of water had black specks floating around in it. All in all - I wouldn't return.

I kicked things off with a Manhattan ($15), and whoever was behind the bar knew exactly what they were doing--a strong hand, just the way I like it. My husband went straight for the Ribeye ($63), which came with mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. Here's the kicker: he *hates* potatoes, but he cleaned that plate without coming up for air. I've never seen him that focused on anything but a game! As for me, I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Fettuccine ($35), and oh my god, I couldn't stop talking about it. As a lover of oysters, I usually venture down to Coeur d'Alene, but Clinkerdagger's oysters surprised me pleasantly. We had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant recently and we must say, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The restaurant was situated in a perfect location that provided awesome views of the waterfall and river. It was truly breathtaking! The food was equally amazing as well. We started off with the Brie board which was simply divine. It was served with the perfect accompaniments and was definitely a highlight of our meal. For our main course, we ordered the filet and it was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender and juicy, and the flavors were just out of this world. The mashed potatoes that came with it were also great, and added the perfect texture to the dish. To end the meal, we had the burnt cream and it was a great way to cap off a wonderful evening. The dessert was sweet and creamy, with just the right amount of texture to it. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience, and we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal with amazing views. Unfortunately, our recent dining experience at Clinkerdagger did not meet expectations. While my husband was very excited to try this restaurant based on the strong reviews, we left disappointed given the high cost of the meal. I ordered a filet medium, but it arrived well-done and without seasoning. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor and were served lukewarm. The garlic bread was overly hard and not warm, making it difficult to enjoy. Even our one-year-old, who usually loves spaghetti, wouldn't touch the dish. The one highlight of the evening was the excellent bottle of L'Ecole Cabernet Sauvignon, and I will say the wine list overall is very good. However, for a dinner totaling $280, the food quality did not align with the pricing or reputation. We expected a fine dining experience, but the dishes were closer in quality to a casual steakhouse. I was blown away by the food here! My experience with "fine dining" in Spokane has been one of disappointment, over-paying for mediocre or below average food. This is the exception! Yes, the prices are high but this is worth the occasional splurge for a special celebration. The crab & artichoke dip is the best I've had, and not just in town either. It's creamy and actually has a ton of the main ingredients, crab & artichoke!, imagine that. :) I ordered the Smoked Chicken Tortellini, which was not your typical pasta, as I expected. The pesto sauce was light, not like the typical heavy cream. My boyfriend ordered the Prime Rib and raved about it. Everything was delicious, down to the herb Focaccia with garlic butter to the Creme Brulee for dessert. Nice, classy atmosphere and friendly service. We recently dined at Clinkerdagger in Spokane and chose to sit outside by the river its was pur first time there. The patio setting is beautiful, and the views made for a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great aesthetic and a nice ambiance overall. Unfortunately, our dining experience was disappointing. Our spoons were dirty when they were brought to the table, and to make matters worse, we found a hair in our dessert. Those issues took away from what could have been a great meal. The location and atmosphere are definitely highlights, especially the outdoor seating along the river, but the cleanliness and attention to detail need improvement. I hope the restaurant addresses these concerns because the setting has so much potential. I'd consider returning for the view, but I hope the food quality and sanitation are much better next time. read more

I have eaten here many times, always a great meal, but now that they have added a surcharge to help them pay the employee wages they will not get my over $1000.00 per year that I spent eating there. There was a charge of $4.95 added to my dinner bill as a surcharge. With the below shown on my bill: The 1.9% 'LwgeSC' is a surcharge added to contribute directly to employee wages, but is NOT in lieu of server gratuity. I totally understand that when states, county or cities raise the minimum wage that you should not have to lower your bottom line, after all you are in business to make a fair profit. But I think that a fair way to do that is to increase the menu prices by the needed percentage in that location only, not by making other restaurant patrons pay for the wage increase in the areas that they dine at that did not have a wage increase. read more

First time here, came from out of town by recommendation. Nice place and atmosphere. The people at the hostess stand were so kind and polite. When we got seated we waited 20 min before ever being greeted by a server or receiving water. Ordered and appetizer when we ordered drinks and waited an hour for it to come. Appetizer was delicious. Ordered our dinner after the appetizer came. Dinner which was disappointing for the price. Ordered the 10oz filet which was okay, we have had much better. Waited 20 minutes for our check after asking for it. When he finally took our cards we waited another 15 minutes. After being here for over 3 hours, we were disappointed in our experience. We understand that this is during the Covid wave and maybe are short staffed...but this was ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend this place! read more

I visited Spokane a few weeks ago, and while I found the overall character of the city to be genial, I met one individual who challenged that entire perception, and unfortunately, she works here. Not only did I overhear her unreasonably berating an employee for nonesensical reasons that read more like a power trip than actual manegerial duties, but she also seemed to treat guests that looked fancier (presumably with lots of money) more attentively than those without. Little did she know, I visited from Prague with a small fortune I shared a little less that day becauae of her unkind attitude. I think her name was Debbie, but I am trying to forget her and your restaraunt altogether due to the experience. Landry's ought to prioritize customer and employee experience if they want return customers ever again. read more

Clickerdagger's is one of those restaurants that is a city gem. Located in the historic flour mill situated on the Spokane Falls, it's outdoor seating boasts a great view of the river and falls. Our meals were excellent If you are looking for a really nice meal out in Spokane and you are not worried about spending $60-100 per person (depending on alcohol purchases), then this is a great place. Atmosphere is about the most formal in town, although this being the Northwest, people come in wearing pretty casual clothes. I'd say the food is on par with or even a bit better than Anthony's, but the prices are higher, too. Outdoor seating overlooking Spokane Falls a plus in summer and their happy hour appetizers at half price are a meal in themselves. Highly recommend! The menu options won't steer you wrong. read more

I went to Clinkendagger's restaurant on 8/30/2022. We sat in the outdoor section overlooking the falls and riverfront park. The seating was lovely. Our table had about a 1-inch wobble in its legs which distracted us all night long. Our server was Christian. He was excellent and was very pleasant to us. We ordered the warm brie cheese started, and it was very tasty. For our mains, we had the Rigatoni Bolognese. It was slightly spicy and delicious to eat. We also ordered the crab and shrimp Fettuchinie. This was a little disappointing. There were very few shrimp on the plate and many shells from both the crab and the shrimp. We had Easter Sunday brunch at this wonderful restaurant. We had a variety of tasty menu items and everyone was very satisfied. The waiter could have been a little more attentive (they were super busy) but the food definately made up for it. We will definately be back for more! read more

I had heard wonderful things about this little bistro, but I left severely disappointed. We ordered the Wagyu steak, the chicken dish and a Margarita Pizza. The Wagyu was on the spendy side at $52.00 for this type of establishment, but not outrageous. Sometimes I am hesitant to order a steak of it is too inexpensive. However, a good Wagyu ordered medium rare should not be served sauced and sliced and should not be cold to the touch. It was very rare and not cooked properly. I don't believe they have the correct equipment to cook a steak like this as it appeared to be cooked properly on the edges. Whoever sliced it should have known that Wagyu will be tough and chewy if not cooked properly. The pizza had the same issue. It was bland and served cold. We decided to bring it home and try and cook it later. If I had to guess, it was a frozen pizza just cooked and not fresh. Finally, the chicken never came. It turned out that they were out of chicken. With a limited menu, this was disappointing, so we switched to the $28 cheese tray. The cheese tray was ok. Clearly just three random cheeses without a lot of thought into how the flavors could be expanded and mixed with the sides. The service was very polite and professional, which was the only redeeming factor. The food was not cooked well. It was not expensive, but it was not cheap and the food felt cheap and poorly done. If you are going to charge higher end prices, you need to deliver a higher end experience. My thoughts when I left were that if I lived close, I might wait a couple months and try again, but I will not bee driving out of my way again to eat there. Again, this kills me as I really had looked forward to trying this small bistro.

Unfortunately, tonight was not that. We were greeted by our waiter who was friendly but not very attentive throughout our visit. He was socializing with coworkers while we were waiting for our drinks. Which took awhile considering we were 2 of the 4 people in at that time. We ordered the Halibut Florentine and Chicken Scarpariello. The halibut was cooked well but the cream sauce totally overwhelmed the dish and drowned whatever vegetables were in it. It was more like a thick dip. Unfortunately it was so rich it made my stomach ache and couldn't finish the dish or my cocktail. The chicken dish was extremely over salted and overcooked. The entire dish was drenched in sauce and my mother wasn't able to finish her dish either. A dish that cost $47 for fish and "sauce" AND is inedible is a big let down. Overall a very disappointing experience from one of our favorite spots. Hoping it was just an off night.

That is a sign of precooked wings that are recooked per an order. This wings had that aesthetic. I've ate buffalo wings since they became popular in the mid 90's and started showing up on every restaurants menu. Except for the unseasoned wings served at big chains...BWW, Applebee's, and Wing Stop, they usually don't have that issue cause the business model is designed for quick and heavy turnover. I'm assuming after being brined these wings are precooked too. I can make an exception because these are the most flavorful wings. Ask for Jessica to be your waitress. These amber hued crispy wings are flavored from the inside out. The brine sets these wings apart from any wing that I've had from the TriState area....including the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY to wings in Thailand, Texas, Victoria, BC or wings from a Chinese joint in Toronto. These wings may have only been hitting on this day, cause the reviews for the restaurant as a whole are mid. I'm talking about the wings only....they are the best I've had, definitely in this state. I love a good naked wing with buffalo and blue cheese on the side. Oh, the best sauce and blue cheese with crumbles I've ever had is the extra hot at the Loose Wheel in Tacoma and Puyallup. Their wings aren't as good as this place. For me blue cheese is mandatory with buffalo. I'll do ranch if it is on Wing Stop level and made with a proper blend of buttermilk, sour cream, and mayo. Basically homemade and not Hidden Valley from the container. Ask for Jessica to be your waitress. I'm hoping this is how they always do their wings, because I hate misleading folks to spend their hard earned money on nasty food. For $15 for a pound (10 wings approx.) during HH. We met our server and loved the guy...and then...There was a party of 20+ placed next to us and another couple and the noise level went through the roof. The other party asked to be moved because they, "couldn't hear themselves think". We rushed through dinner and just left. This could have been handled better...a party that large perhaps could be in one of the private rooms? Maybe more waiters? Our server (Daniel) got slammed with the large party and once they were seated didn't have much time to service the other tables in his section. Making the service poor for us and the others. It's totally NOT his fault, but it was whoever is running the restaurant or allowing very large parties like that in the main dining area without extra help. Not having much of a choice we came back for breakfast first thing in the morning so we could leave the hotel as soon as possible. It wasn't very busy and the service was MUCH better than the evening before. It was delightful to hear each other talk and to be able to speak in normal tones. Prices were a little high for the value.
