Clover Plumbing sent Dave Gilbertson to repair a slab leak in our downstairs bathroom. Dave identified and fixed our leaky pipe with the least amount of damage to the floor. Dave is a licensed plumber who has the knowledge and equipment to identify and the precise location of the leak. He very carefully made an opening in the floor tile above the leak removing as few tiles as possible in a perfectly shaped rectangle. There is no longer any sign of leakage and we can now replace only the small rectangle with decorative tiles instead of replacing the entire bathroom floor. Job well done. read more

They know what they are doing but it just seems they are really busy so it's hard to get in touch if you ever have an emergency. Clover Plumbing was sent by First American Home Warranty to diagnose our malfunctioning toilet. Clover first reported it was a manufacturing defect and my warranty claim was denied. The manufacturer wrote "There is (sic) no known defects with the IB-835. I'm not sure how the plumber would even get that impression being as he stated he wasn't familiar with the model." Clover later admitted, "Unfortunately we can not detect the malfunctions of the toilet due to parts are discountinued (sic)." FAHW then overturned their initial denial after many days of frustration and a dozen correspondences. I would not trust Clover Plumbing with anything but the simplest plumbing problem. read more

Worst plumbing service I've ever seen. Unfortunately this is the only company my home warranty uses. Had a leaking drain pipe in the wall of my kitchen. His solution was to route the pipes in a way which they protruded from the wall and use rubber connections to connect it all. And when I inspected his work, i found two connections that weren't even glued. He said the drywall guys can just cut a hole in the drywall to allow the pipes to stick out. Called him back and explained to him how to route it so the pipes won't be sticking out (pretty sad considering he's supposed to be a professional). He came back a redid the pipes, yet they were still sticking out of the wall. Just thought since I had the home warranty, is take advantage of it. But mistake. This guy is a total hack. Stay away at all costs. read more

Clover Plumbing was assigned my claim by First American Home Warranty to install a pressure regulator. They insisted on installing their brand which involved my paying an extra $294 for modifications which were not covered by the home warranty. I found the exact placement part and they wanted an additional $200 if I purchased the part and they would not guarantee their work. I found my own plumber and got the repair completed with no help from Core Plumbing or First American Home Warranty. read more

I hate giving bad reviews. I know people have bad days, emergencies and sometimes just make mistakes. But now I'm down money and have had to sit in the house without going out with my kids and have had two back to back problems with this company. Went through a home warrantee and changed my work schedule and kids schedule to be here during the day during the appointment time the company chose. When he didn't show I texted and he said: "Oh yes there was a mix-up with you and another customer I apologize. We can stop by today between 3 and 5 if someone will be there". But I couldn't be here. Then he said: "Okay we can stop by tomorrow between 1 and 4 and I personally will schedule it and make sure to be there" I even texted to make sure it was the same time slot so I didn't waste another day. I came back early so that we could work out the details. Then he wrote he had an emergency and was going to be at least an hour after the scheduled window. I would have been fine if he wrote to say "sorry again but I had an emergency, it will be later than I said." I'm big on honesty from a company, and doing what you say you will do. I like communication if you're going to not show up, or if you realize you mess up, but this was just probably the most wasted of time I have ever experienced with a company. I hope other people have a better experience. read more

Good plumbing work but dishonest company that tries to charge you more telling you that your Homeowner Warranty does not cover the work when it does. I had a a block in my drain line between the 1st and 2nd floor. I made the plumbers job really easy and had the toilet removed for them when they arrived so they could snake the drain at the toilet flange. They spent less than 30 minutes onsite including me signing the paperwork and paying them the extra they insisted on. They cleared the blockage with their snake. At the start of the visit they told me that it would cost more to snake on the 2nd floor and my warranty only covered the 1st floor clean out. They said that I could pay an extra $75 or they could leave and that the warranty company would still keep the initial $75 service fee since they made a visit. So I had to pay $150 total. $75 to the warranty company and $75 to the plumber. I spoke to the owner of the company afterwards and said I could send him a copy of my coverage so that he would see the service was covered and refund me the $75 but he did not want to do that. I feel like they were bulling me into paying the extra $75 at the time of the visit as they knew I could not call the warranty company while they were onsite because of the warranty companies long wait times. The owner of the company was not interested in getting a copy of the contract so they would know for future dealings with my warranty company. I wrote on the invoice that they bullied me into paying that I was not told that this service was not covered on my warranty (which it is). If it was really not covered they should have told me at the time we set up the appointment so I would have time to discuss with my warranty company. A neighbor actually called Clover Plumbing for a leak in between the walls that turns out was coming from my unit. It was the most painless plumbing experience. The plumber even showed up early and was able to trace the leak to my unit showing me a drill bit that he put through the pipe. We scheduled him to return the very next day. He was very knowledgable and showed me the old pipe he took out and the tiny crack in it. He was also very personable going between my neighbor and myself who have not always seen eye to eye.
