I found Tod on yelp and called him since he had great reviews. He responded quickly with a price quote and availability. While remodeling our bathrooms we decided to change our valves and try to move the plumbing back under sink to maximize space under vanity (i was told by another plumber i couldn't) Tod not only changed both valves in both bathrooms he put in a cast iron tub, installed new shower trim in both bathrooms maximized our space under vanities, installed faucets and gave us great advice. I had many questions he allowed me to call him many times to ask or tell me what i needed and not once acted like i was bothering him. Tod pays attention to every detail on his jobs and is very thorough the wood surrounding the valves was unsteady and he replaced the wood framing making it very solid and stable which in turn helped our tile guy install all new tile on a supportive wall. I called other plumbers before using Tod he was the most polite professional person i spoke with you can tell he loves his job when you meet him. I will use Tod for any plumbing job i need from now on his service cannot be beat not to mention easy to talk too and felt very comfortable from the first time he came. I needed water hook-ups for my new refrigerators coming to the house the following Saturday, and Tod got me in his schedule to get the hook-ups done Friday morning. He gave great detailed instructions for what I should do before the refrigerator was installed, to bleed out the line so no debris goes into the refrigerator. Then for some other work I wanted done, he gave suggestions where I could save some buck$$. I took his advice and got those things done myself with his initial guidance. On that day of the water line hook-ups, I things had coincidentally fell in place, and I asked for my water heater replaced. We called Tod when we needed a new water heater. He was very friendly and courteous on the phone and very helpful. He told us where to get the water heater, then he picked it up, installed it, and took the old one away. He called when he said he would, showed up when he said he would, charged what he said he would, and knows his craft. As a previous reviewer said, he is meticulous. The way our water heater was set up, the exhaust pipe (?) on the top is currently not perfectly straight, and this bothered Tod, even though it doesn't affect performance. We were told to remind him of this the next time he comes, so he can bring a part to make it straight! He has a lovely personality and I find him very trustworthy. Our hot water heater died on Friday, 08/19/2017. I called Clovis Plumbing Services based on the Yelp reviews that I read online . Tod took the time on the phone to give me several options of what could be wrong and several recommendations plus the names of several plumbers he would trust as he wanted me to know I could shop around. We also discussed the age of my of my unit which was 14 years and he suggested replacement. Notice the word "suggested." I have never had anybody give me so many options, suggestions, and just plain good advice. On Monday morning he installed a new hot water heater, replaced all valves, fittings, and vent. I was introduced to Tod by my boss when he was called to redo an entire bathroom from scratch at our workplace. After educating myself via YouTube, I attempted to replace a 9 year old Moen 1222b cartridge in my shower. The cartridge snapped in two during the removal. I called Clovis Plumbing, the owner Tod answered immediately, quoted a reasonable price and asked me to text my address. Tod responded saying he would be at my house in 10 minutes. 10 minutes! That's up there with a 911 response time. Tod and his daughter arrived. They were pleasant and reassured me that I wasn't the only home improvement warrior to have this problem. Tod is my go-to plumber ever since 2 years ago, when he replace my water heater. He installed his recommendation, which was not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. About 2 months later, I noticed a small amount of water in the water heater "closet." Tod came out immediately, diagnosed the problem as an overtightened connector, and replaced the whole water heater and connectors, for just a reasonable labor charge. When I called about a leaking outdoor faucet Tod walked be through finding my main water shut off as we had just moved in.
