My experience at Club nails started off amazing. The gentleman the assigned to me removed my gel without damaging my nails and he was absolutely amazing. He seemed a bit new to designs and struggled to give me a french tip so the owner sent me a different technician to shape the French tip she was also amazing. Finally I had ask for a design and they asked if I could wait 10 mins I said absolutely no problem. 5 mins later I was told we'll its going to cost a lot extra as if it mattered I wanted the design but they were trying to push me out of the chair because they were getting more clients. I waited and a woman named Lucy came to do the design she not only lied to me but scoffed at every single color decision I made. I had asked for gold stars and provided a reference picture. She brought the color brown and I said no can I please have gold she told me it was gold and then proceeded to ask a young woman next to me what color it was to try and prove a point. Finally we picked a gold color when I asked her if she could do two coats she stated no because it would not dry I said OK even though I really wanted 2 coats so the gold would be brighter. She continued to be rude to me the entire time to the point where I cried from how stressful a nail experience could be. I had been there since 2pm. A lovely woman named Mindy put my top coat on and I asked her if it was true that they cant do two coats because it wouldnt dry she said no thats not true so I became very upset but Lucy not only lying to me but rushing and dismissing my needs as a client. The owner proceeded to yell at me saying she sent 4 technicians to help me just so I could be happy and then proceeded to yell at Mindy in front of me for telling me that she can do more than one coat. Mindy did make my design darker. After all was said and done they charged me $75 after a $10 discount for making me cry. Before I left I asked to speak to the owner one last time so that I could tell her how I was treated by Lucy to which she blew me off and said she was busy. I told her it wasn't a problem and I could wait she told me no id have to wait 4 hours because she has too many people waiting for her. It is no wonder that Lucy treats clients the way she does because the owner of the salon is no better. The owner and Lucy are absolutely horrendous. The owner reprimanding associates in front of customers and Lucy treating me horribly. Not only that but I paid and just wanted to leave but no the owner made a huge scene infront of every customer in the nail salon by yelling and me and Mindy. How embarrassing. If I were you who is reading this I would pick absolutely any other nail salon because this place was the worst Ive ever been treated and I deal with customer service for a living. UPDATE..... I booked and appointment at Nails By Holly in Mission Viejo and they redid my nails from scratch and knocked it out of the park! My nail tech was Hanna and she was gentle, kind, patient, and extremely talented! This was my first visit to Club Nails, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. When I arrived, it appeared to be a slow day. Several nail technicians who weren't with clients were using the empty pedicure chairs next to me as their break area. They were talking and laughing very loudly and watching videos on their phones at full volume right beside me and another customer receiving a pedicure. It made what should have been a relaxing experience anything but relaxing. My nail technician, Nina, was also extremely rough throughout my pedicure. She repeatedly dug into both of my big toes, and I left with them swollen, sore, and irritated. The 5-minute leg massage was equally uncomfortable. She dug her nails into my calves while massaging, and I actually ended up with bruises afterward. At the end of the massage, Nina offered me an additional five minutes. I assumed she was extending the massage as a kind gesture after how rough the pedicure had been, so I accepted. However, when I went to pay, I was charged an additional $15 for those extra five minutes. At no point did she mention there would be an extra charge. Had I been informed beforehand, I would have declined. Overall, my first experience at Club Nails was very disappointing. Between the loud, unprofessional atmosphere, the painful pedicure, and the unexpected charge, I left feeling frustrated rather than relaxed. I cannot recommend this salon to anyone looking for a comfortable, enjoyable nail experience. read more

But to top it off, I requested a 10 minute shoulder/neck massage - and when Grape finished my toes, she gave me the best massage, right there in the chair! It was exactly what I needed. I wish this place was consistent ... today I went in for a regular pedicure (I usually pay about 27.00 for this at I place I frequent in Carlsbad) I didn't want color, just naturally buffed. The young lady asked " A shiny buff?" I figured she was asking for clarification so I said yes; this is a service that I had received before at the nail salon I referred to already. When it was over I went to the front to pay and she asked for $42.00. Shocked, I said pardon me? Then confirmed this was just a regular pedicure correct? She said "yes, but you get shiny buff and that's extra"... WTF! This is the second time I have been sticker shocked here when leaving because no one tells you... oh by the way you pay extra for that. !!DO NOT COME HERE!! Leaving ONE STAR is too generous. This place gave me the WORST experience ever. My entire stay here yesterday was MISERABLE. I did not relax, and worse, I did not leave with an adequate pedicure. The lady nail technician who was doing my pedicure kept DAMAGING me. I spoke up about the drill hurting and all the lady nail technician did was push my hand away when I was trying to indicate my PAIN. When it came to painting my nails, it took not one but two ladies to attempt to do it. At the moment of paying, they insisted I pay with Zelle. That was my mistake. I get to my car and see that one toe nails gel had already fallen off!! That same night, after one shower the rest of my toe nail gel slides off. The most horrific thing is I noticed that my toe nails are the thinnest they have even been! My toe nails are able to be ripped off at this point.
