Im a little disappointed, this place went downhill. Few years ago I remember the owner would be around, food was great. Went again last year and decided to give it a try today again and same thing. Chicken seasoning was lacking, kinda bland imo. I will say I do like their sauce but my bottom bun was soggy immediately as I walked out the door (i think from the slaw), so that took away from it. A very decked out fried chicken place that is quite mesmerizing! We were able to easily find parking on the street even though it was still popping at 9pm. We ordered the half bird with an extra tender (better heat level) and the cluckin fries. We tried the chicken with their comeback sauce which was very delicious. We had to wait longer for the half bird, so keep that in mind. Honestly wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was since I have a pretty high spice tolerance. Next time I will get the feel it twice level. The half bird includes two very large pieces of chicken that includes the thighs-- pretty good although my friend found it to taste a bit unusual towards the center of the chicken near the bones. The tender however was very thick, juicy, and had a great ratio of batter to chicken. These all came with white bread and pickles-- a classic compliment. As a side, we ordered the Cluckin Fries which was actually quite good for the price since it also came with bits of chicken tenders. But the sauce from the coleslaw was personally a little too much. It felt like the fries were drench and easily became soggy. Maybe the coleslaw should come on the side. Having had tried quite a handful of hot chicken sandwiches in the last few months now, I'm gonna be outright honest and say this was one was average at best. The chicken met my three personal criteria for high quality chicken - juiciness, crispiness, and flavor - but the bun was quite soft and soggy, the slaw was mediocre, and overall a bit steep on the prices. I wasn't feeling that hungry so I got the Side Chick which was still $6.50 after tax, and it was quite miniature to my surprise. And the Main Chick being an additional $5 is a bit much considering there's no way the piece of chicken increases in size by almost double?! Lastly, I didn't try the mac & cheese but on behalf of my cousin who did - it was the worst mac & cheese ever. By no means am I saying this place is terrible or that you shouldn't get it. First walking in, service is on point and very friendly. Menu is easy to navigate and order. I went with the medium heat chicken sandwich and a side of tots and Mac and cheese. Took about 10min to get the food, so pretty fast based on these current times. Flavor was solid, as was the portion and freshness. I would have preferred a little more crunch and crisp to the chicken itself, as I prefer that. Otherwise the pickles and coleslaw complemented the sandwich perfect. I got the medium because the cashier told us the spice higher was pretty hot. So, i opted for medium. The tender was juicy, it had a light cajun spice with a kick. (I think we could have handled the next level). The sandwich had a perfect ratio of cole slaw, sweet pickles and a juicy tender. The chicken was juicy but had a nice crunch outer layer. The bun was light and fluffy that soaks up the comeback sauce and juices from the chicken and slaw. Mac and cheese was a treat, the sauce and noodle was thick and held onto each other. My experience with here has been for the most part great with the food, service and place is always clean. The cluckin Mac is my favorite, as it has Mac, fries and chicken topped with paprika. It's some of the best creamy Mac iv had, and fries and chicken are well done as well. However with my most recent order chicken was kind of dry. Hopefully this is just a one time accident. The tender combo is best iv had quality wise, as the tenders are big and juicy. It's also the most expensive of 3 at around $15, but I'd still recommend it. The breakfast burrito was just ok, I thought I would like it but wasn't really a fan of the chicken/fries/egg/ in a burrito combination. Lacks flavor but will still fill you up. Everything was really tasty together but I do think the chicken could've been seasoned better. There was also a long tendon in both of the chickens that I had and although it wasn't bad to pull them out it did slightly ruin the experience. I would definitely eat here again. But he ended up regretting not getting medium afterwards. The medium was not bad at all it had a flavorful taste. Tots just tasted like tots so don't expect anything there. I just came here for the sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Took 15-20 minutes for them to have the order ready, they text you when you can come pick it up. We saw a review of this spot on IG and decided to make the drive out from Redlands to check it out! We came in already knowing that we wanted to get the Nashville hot breakfast burrito. We wanted the heat to be extra hot, but the cashier warned us that we probably couldn't handle it. We said we would take our chances and ordered a side of Mac n cheese just in case it was a spice we couldn't handle. We got our food to go, and didn't realize until after we had left that the food was marked as having a medium heat level.
