Classic Burrito
Kim R.

Me and my husband ate here this week. We split the Classic Burrito. It had yellow rice, chicken, cabbage, cilantro cucumber and green onions. Chili ginger sauce came in a little ramekin on the side. The burrito was great! The sauce really made it. *yummy* I really liked the type of rice in it; I believe it's cooked in chicken broth. They do charge a 4% fee for using credit. I don't like when restaurants do that. Fortunately my husband had cash on him. We would definitely go back (and bring cash again) as the food was really good and seemed on the healthy side.

I ordered the Classic Burd Hainan Chicken Rice Plate. The chicken was juicy and the rice was flavorful. It's a good portion size for the price. It also comes with soup which was delicious. What stood out for me was the ginger scallion and chili-ginger sauce. It really complemented the rice and chicken. It's very flavorful. I was licking the container it came in just to get all the sauce. I came in during lunch. The parking there is kind of tight. The door was heavy to open. I had to use two arms to open it. The service was good. Didn't take too long to wait for my order. There's seating inside and outside. You could order your food from the screen or a person.

It's like Hainan chicken rice but their own spin which is quite tasty. We did the combo lemongrass chicken rice came w/small side soup and sugarcane drink. The two sauce one traditional which was ginger green onion, other was citrus ginger dressing type which was very nice enhancer to dip with the chicken or the bed of cabbage they had. Small spot, order at counter or self-ordering monitor: seats inside and nice small patio outside quiet and relaxing space w/patio umbrella for shade. Parking is a bit congested on tight spots if you have a big car. The staff was super nice greeted us and brought our food, will come back.

For amazing chicken rice with a touch of Cambodian flare, you need to head to Burd Chicken Rice in Long Beach! I got their: Mix Burd Plate Lemongrass Chicken Protein Bowl Crackling Chicken Skin Garlic Soy Wings Cane Passion The crispy and poached chicken were my favorites because the meat was moist, juicy, and so tender which paired perfectly with their flavorful and fragrant ginger rice. All chicken rice plates come with soup, ginger scallion, and chili-ginger sauce, and you need to wash every down with their refreshing sugarcane drinks. They make all their plates fresh everyday and their chicken is never frozen, which you can really taste in the quality of every bite. The sides are also so good here, with their crispy chicken skins and their soy garlic wings being my favorites! I highly recommend coming here for your next chicken rice fix!

Like another yelper I do miss Yang Chow, BUT I am glad that burd chicken is another place I can add to our chicken rotation. My family got the lemon grass burd, burd bombs, and the Krispy burd. Everything was really good. My daughter loved the chicken broth that came with our meal as well. I am looking forward to coming back and trying some more things off the menu.

Still in soft opening, they're focusing on tightening up their prep of chicken bowls and chicken skins. First day of soft opening was Sunday. They report that the rest of the menu might be available next week. Love to have an option for hainan chicken, but they really offer chicken done well in all textures. If you like Hainan chicken, order the classic as it's delicious with their rice cooked in chicken broth and their garlicky and gingery sauces. Order their lemongrass chicken if you want a flavorful grilled chicken. If you want both, order the mix plate. The plate comes with chicken broth. If you don't want broth, get a bowl. I highly recommend their cracking skins as you get that desirable taste of fried chicken skins to pair with the other chicken and rice combos. I also like that they also sell congee and chicken soup. They really do it all When they have their grand opening, you can get their whole menu of drinks and egg rolls. I look forward to that. For now, this is an awesome, flavorful addition to Long Beach!

Stopped by for lunch, parking lot is kinda small but has decent parking. There's outdoor seating. Food was overall very good and flavorful! Quick service through the kiosk screen, workers were around to assist if needed. We got the mix chicken (lemongrass + krispy) burd, a chicken protein bowl with the OG sugarcane, and the ugly burd puffs (cream cheese wontons), everything was delicious. I'd definitely come back.

As much as I miss and loved Yang Chow (RIP slippery tofu), I do like a Hainan Chicken and am happy that this place got replaced with another different but equally satisfying rice bowl joint. I got a mixed bowl for lunch just to try two of their offerings and I have to say I liked the classic poached chicken over the crispy. The rice was also very good, and the minced ginger sauce ties it all together. You earned a weekly regular and can't wait to try your other sides. 5/5 stars

This is the krispy burd.

Love this place! My go to is the krispy burd! Great taste! I love all the sauces. So yummy!!!!!

First time trying this Hainanese style chicken rice restaurant. The chicken is juicy and the rice is very fragrant and delicious. I like that they offer a mixed plate if you want a different type of chicken such as the fried chicken or the lemongrass marinated chicken. I prefer the classic chicken, but I haven't tried the fried one yet. Their fish sauce is also really good and balanced. I wish they had tomatoes and cucumbers like how most others do it rattler than the bed of lettuce though. Be advised, the parking lot is not very big and can be packed! Will be back to try the fried chicken and their garlic rice!

How lucky did I get? I just moved into my new office, and while looking for new places to eat, I found this place across the street from my office!!! I love their Clasic Burd (hainan chicken) and the sauces that come with it. I'll try the Lemongrass Burd next time. Oh, the garlic soy wings were amazing too.

Still worth the drive to Long Beach to get our fill of very good Cambodian food that I've yet to find up north. Parking was still a challenge and I dropped the family in front of the restaurant first so they can join the waitlist. This time I could only find a spot a few blocks away but by the time I walked back to the restaurant, the family got seated. The menu still had the same great options and prices but starting June 1st prices will be increasing. Definitely understandable in this inflationary environment. My favorite every time has been the loat cha with chicken such that the family knows never to ask what am I getting. We've tried the rest of the menu but the family has standardized on their noodle soups or rice porridge bowls. You can count on lots of ingredients, choices of noodles and rich tasting broths. The cha quai (bread stick) must also be ordered as the perfect pairing for dipping. We also ordered the nom sa-kieu (like a fried meat empananda) again and will continue. We ended our meal with a round of iced coffees for the table, strong and delicious. Not bitter at all. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later.

The flavors are authentic and invoke nostalgia in the older generations and reconnection to their roots for the young. For those not well versed in cambodian cuisine, what this restaurant is making is not easy and the quality they are able to provide is impressive. Outside of the well known dishes with kreung - lemongrass paste, there are other dishes you won't find anywhere except in the the old world. Things like like the nhom svay- papaya salad with dried fish, or the Machu Srae - farmers fish soup, are complex with a unique mixtures of ingredients like banana blossoms and lotus, that deliver the familiar southeast asian sweet, sour, and salty umami flavor but with a signature that is uniquely Cambodian. You won't find this place recommended on infatuation or tagged with a Michelin bib gourmand simply because nobody understands Cambodian cuisine. But the community does and Cambodians from across the US and even back in the old world knows of this place. It's a must visit. Restaurants come and go. We stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp then headed here based on the pictures. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and we were seated immediately because there wasn't really anyone inside on a weekday afternoon. We couldn't decide between what to get because everything looked so good and we were hungry, so we ended up getting the beef sticks, beef larb and angel chicken wings. The beef sticks were probably one of the most flavorful beef sticks I have tried in my life. You're instantly hit with so many different flavors while it's hot. This is something we would get again. The beef larb was a little too tangy and sour for my boyfriend's taste, but he still enjoyed it. He also said the beef in the larb was a little chewy for him, but it wasn't a big issue for him. I enjoy eating sour foods, but it did have us sweating inside haha. I loved the combination of veggies mixed in with the larb and the cabbage definitely helped cut out some of the sourness. The angel chicken wings! Probably one of my favorites because of all the lemongrass and turmeric added inside. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet so juicy on the inside. I also like that they cut up the wings into pieces for you. I'm glad we can across this restaurant on Yelp and got to try it. Next time, I would try the soups like the babaw (porridge) or the nom banh chok (fish rice noodles) because they were items I was deciding between that's still lingering through my mind right now.
