Big Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich Combo
    Larry M.

Hey do y'all remember the chicken spot called Cluck U? I do, there use to be one Uptown on Georgia avenue. Well, this brand never went anywhere...they just changed their name, & made everything halal!! Let's GO!! . Where I am: @clucksters_lanham . Location Reviewed: 9426 Lanham Severn Rd, Lanham M.D. . Items Reviewed: The food I reviewed was all Halal! DELICIOUS!! Their Boneless Wings ($6.99 5 boneless lathered in their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, more saucy. Could've been fried harder for me. STAMP!! Their Bone In Wings ($7.99 5 wings with their Atomic sauce). Not super hot or spicy, but well fried, & meaty!! LIKE THAT!! Their Tenders ($4.99 Three chicken tenders). Well seasoned, crisp, & tasty with their special sauce!! LIKE THAT!! Their Ranchero Wrap ($8.99 with chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, & their signature sauce). Lite, crispy, & fulfilling!! STAMP!! Their Fried Mushrooms ($6.99 a small with their signature sauces). A tasty batter, no dip needed!! DELICIOUS!! Their Pulled Chicken Sandwich ($8.29 with bbq sauce, & slaw I added a drink & fries for $4.29 extra). Good, thick, I would've preferred it w/o the slaw. DELICIOUS!! Their Fish & Chips ($8.59 fried whiting with fries). Good, that's it. LIKE THAT!! Their Rodeo Burger ($7.99 with pickles, onion rings, tomato, American cheese , bbq sauce, & lettuce). Smoky, with a nice grade of beef!! STAMP!! Their Churro ($2 with caramel sauce). Warm, sweet, & tasty!! . Parking: Decent. Recommendations: Get what I STAMPED...try the burger. Accessibility: Wheelchair & differently abled persons come on in!! The Inside: Clean, with seating. 5 Stars=STAMP 4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT 4 Stars=DELICIOUS 3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS 1 Star=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Though it doesn't remind me of the same cluck u from back in the day, the Food was still good. I would definitely come here again. Next time I'll eat my honey bees on the way home instead of waiting. They were ok but would have been better piping hot from the grease!

The photo doesn't do the burger justice. It was juicy, flavorful, and filled with great taste. My only suggestion would be to lightly toast the bun, as it was served a bit cool. Our server, LB, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the meal. Even though the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush, the atmosphere was comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation with my colleagues without feeling rushed. We rolled up during happy hour and the bar was already three deep with concert goers, professionals still in their work clothes, and a few locals holding their usual spots. There were no open tables in sight but that didn't matter. We found our corner of the bar fast, and honestly, that ended up being the best seat in the house. A band played soft in the background. Servers moved through in outfits that said upscale, not sports bar. The whole room had that pre-show buzz, dressed up but not stiff. We blended in well. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip on a local's recommendation. It came with warm chips, sour cream, and a house made salsa that quietly stole the entire appetizer. I wanted a bowl of just the salsa. Our server, who clearly knew the menu inside and out, sold us on the smoked salmon, and we added a side of bacon mac and cheese along with the cornbread. The salmon looked right, cooked medium with real smoke on it, but the smoke won the fight against the fish. Mushy inside, more fishy than smoky should allow. The sauce didn't rescue it either. Sautéed spinach on the side needed salt, plain and simple. Then the cornbread and mac and cheese showed up and reminded us why we came. Rich, comforting, with the kind of flavor that makes you forget the salmon happened. When I'm back, I'm ordering both of those twice and calling it a meal. Drinks were the real win. A Saratoga sparkling water kept things clean between bites, and the Peartini was one of the better cocktails I've had in a while, balanced, not too sweet, actually worth the price. The seat beside us turned over twice during the meal, first someone who went to the concert a few days earlier and wanted to talk about it, then someone else who slid in for a quick drink while waiting on their table. Both ended up in easy conversation with us, no forcing it. That's the part I keep thinking about, not the salmon. Copper Canyon got the room right, the drinks, the starters, the easy conversation with strangers. Some nights the food is the headline. This one, it was the people and the vibes, making it a great after-work or pregame pitstop, and that's always worth gathering for.

I'm sure when it's peak time it's live in there so I'll have to come back for an event. Went around noon on a Sunday and it was fairly empty so we sat at the bar and were serviced immediately. Strawberry lemon drop - 10/10 - I love a good lemon drop but a I'll never pass up a flavored one. No notes. Shrimp & Grits - 5/10 - don't get me wrong it was GOOD but it was too rich/cheesy to me. I don't know what I was expecting in terms of cheese but I've never had soooooo much cheese in an order of shrimp and grits. I legit pulled a mound of cheese off the top and it was still too much. I couldn't finish this unfortunately, even taking them home for another day didn't work because I couldn't take the richness. Not a slight to them, just a no for me. There was a great amount of shrimp in the dish and the consistency of the grifts were amazing. Just need something to cut through the richness. My friend had: Omelette - 10/10 - said they enjoyed it and would get it again Side of bacon - 10/10 - you got 6 pieces with the order and that was solid to me. I'd definitely come back and try something else on their brunch menu if given the chance. It's a bit out the way so I couldn't see myself traveling for it but if I was in the area I definitely would come back.

Our waitress, Lydia, exhibit attentive and efficient service the entire night. She helped us with the menu, checked on us throughout the night, and refilled our drinks. The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. It's tucked away in an industrial area off Route 50, and unless you're looking for it, you'd probably never know it was there. We had a party of 12, and almost everyone in our group was visually impaired, including my mom. Dining out with a group like ours can sometimes be challenging, but the staff did a really nice job. As the only one at the table with 20/20 vision, I can honestly say they took the time to explain the menu, answer questions about the food and drinks, announce themselves when they approached the table, and help everyone through the payment process. Those extra touches meant a lot and made everyone feel comfortable. I ordered the wings and a drink, and my mom had wings, a salad, and a drink. Everything was fresh, the wings were cooked well, the drinks were good, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood feel. It isn't a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and somewhere I'd happily come back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service at the end of our meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but apparently his shift ended as soon as he took our orders. The manager and bartender stepped in and did the best they could, but with a large group that was mostly visually impaired, it made things a little more confusing than they needed to be, especially when it came time to sort out everyone's food and separate checks. No one was rude, and they worked hard to make it right, but I think management could have handled that transition a little better. Overall, I had a great experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was to our group. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.
