As a previous service advisor and a 6 year mechanic in the Air Force, honestly, I have HIGH STANDARDS when other people service my vehicles. My husband and I originally got one of our cars serviced at Clutch Automotive bc one of his coworkers referred them. My husband seemed to have a good experience, no issues. We both brought our vehicle in another time for a major repair. I was so happy with the amazing guest service we both received. When I called I always got through and Megan was always great on the phone. We got timely updates, and I love that the shop uses Tekmetric- nice and easy for the customer to see and follow what needs to be worked on. When I was on site, I had a great experience chatting with Megan and Jose. They're both professional, and pleasant people! We left, more than satisfied. We recently got a new Camry and although I have taken it to two Toyota dealerships I actually prefer to still bring it to Clutch. On this visit I met Sam. I scheduled an appointment with Sam on the phone (very professional and pleasant) and came in the next day. They do offer to take you home but I decided to wait today. All of the advisors here (Megan, Jose, Sam) have consistently given myself and the other customers timely updates and friendly and hospitable service. Communication is 10/10 (timely, professional, genuinely pleasant) Our services have been 10/10 Cost seems on par with most automotive locations. I am so impressed with Clutch Automotive! My daughter hit a curb and got two flat tires while driving to a friend's house about an hour north of home. AAA provided the number for several approved shops nearby that the car could be towed to for repair. I called Clutch to confirm they could do the repair and spoke to Smiley. He really lives up to his name! He was so kind and helpful and genuinely concerned for my daughter's safety. Once at the shop, she received that same kindness from everyone she interacted with. I've long been a believer that meticulous attention to detail creates a high-value experience. I've never been so thrilled with the amount of outstanding customer service at an auto repair shop as this one. First of all, they have some lovely merch such as diner mugs and keychains that customers can take for free. As with most places, they had coffee and some snacks at the front for guests as well. Next, they gave me a coupon for 50% off my first oil change with them. Wonderful deal. As if that wasn't enough, they paid for a Lyft from the shop back to my house while they were working on my car. From the Lyft app, I could see that first ride was cancelled by Clutch. Before I could ask, Daniel, the receptionist, told me he cancelled it and got me another Lyft because the first one looked sketchy and had bad reviews--just WOW at the attention to detail! As a woman who was by herself, I really appreciated his concern for my safety. They also paid for a Lyft back to the shop when my car was ready again. Their complimentary inspection of the car was thorough and fair. Daniel kindly walked me through the details of the inspection report that I had questions about and when I declined any further servicing, he didn't push. Now, I still would have written this review if the service had ended there, but he had one last parting gift: a gift card to the local ice cream shop down the street, Fat Cat Creamery. Service and quality is honestly very terrible. Recently took my truck in for a light repair and for a inspection so I can get it registered in Texas because I baught it off my recently late grandfather and they tried to charge me 400 for just my light to be fixed and for my tires to get replaced just for an inspection. In response to Jennifer from the Garage: 1- it was my annual service. Yes you replaced the radiator but left something unscrewed so that the fluid leaked and my car stopped on the street 2- I recorded my final exchange where your manager admitted the error. 3- The garage left my car without anyone fixing the error. I wasn't able to take it on holiday, had to rent a car for about $1,000, so, giving me $350 was the least you could have done. 4- Yes, my tires needed changing, and I had the appointment booked, but couldn't make it due to your negligence and tardiness. ALSO, MY TIRES HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TGE MECHANICS YOU MESSED UP. 5- I've had my car serviced annually at another garage specialising in German cars for 7 years prior to my visit, with no issues. If you don't have the expertise or trained mechanics to handle German cars, then you shouldn't offer to do that. Blaming it on the car model is pretty pathetic. I've had BMWs and Mercedeses, who all have frequent issues, but if you a skilled mechanic, they run beautifully and last for decades. read more

I was told it would be 30 minutes before my car would be seen because someone was in front of me which was fine considering I was a drop in. While I waited they had free wi-fi which was great because I was able to continue working on my laptop. The total visit ended up being much shorter than projected. I was able to walk out the door in under 25 minutes. Overall, it was a speedy efficient experience. I also want to also shout out the young man at the desk on 2/21 for excellent customer service. I called Clutch automotive yesterday and was able to set up an appointment for 11 AM this morning. As soon as I went into the office, they greeted me. I didn't have to wait at all for them to go out and look at my car. They even have a fantastic service to take you home if needed. For today's service, they were able to look at my car and repair it just to tell me that there was nothing major wrong! You just don't know how happy I was. At that point, I got estimates on several other things that I wanted to get done on my 2008 vehicle. It seems like I only waited seconds for them to go over the amounts with me and even show me on a computer screen exactly what would be done. Have brought three vehicles over the past two years to get inspected. Our previous shop is much further out and like the convenience of this shop. I brought my car in to have brake fluid flushed and both front and rear brake lines replaced. I had bought my own brake lines (from ECS) and dot 4 brake fluid (purchased both to get my car ready for a high performance driving experience). I was given a price (which I thought was a little high, but not gouging) and decided to let them do the work. I went to pick up and pay which is when they told me that they wouldn't warranty the work, which makes sense since the parts were purchased by me (still wish they would have mentioned when getting quoted). I was told they test drove the car and everything was good to go. I get in to leave and the brakes are spongy. Three pumps to get a good press, which wasn't consistent. I went in and they were kind enough to say they could do another brake flush free of charge, but wouldn't be with the same brake fluid (mine was racing, but still dot 4). I typically have the dealership do all my work and decided to go local. Issue is no quality control, or lacking, and I would rather pay extra to use a dealership to get a higher level of quality control and that extra pizzaz I get from Sewell (car is clean and doesn't smell like a shop). Just didn't feel confident to have them do it again. UPDATE: Hector and owner reached out and corrected issue. Brakes on a high performance car are different and they owned up to it and made it right. Thanks for guaranteeing work done on brakes. read more

They do all the extras making sure you're happy with the work they've done. An example, I received a telephone call reminding me that I needed to get my car inspected as my registration runs out in December. They have always exceeded my expectations. They have provided a written estimate for any additional repairs we've needed. The list has been thorough and has been listed in the order of importance. Which tells me they have looked over the entire vehicle. It's difficult to find a vehicle repair shop that not only has excellent service, my car is always ready when they tell me it's going to be. Had an alternator replaced a few months ago and found the service to be fast, professional, and reasonably priced. Came back in recently--they were able to get me in on the same day, recommended a tow company to get my car there, and completed the inspection and diagnosis in less than an hour. After shopping around reputable mechanics I found that they were charging double almost triple what others were. when I called and asked why they were charging more than others the owner said that labor isn't free Well needless to say I went elsewhere and am happy that I took the time to call around and didn't waste thousands of dollars with them read more

This place is really adorable and I really really wanted to love it. I have tried taking my car here twice and the first time they didn't attach a particular wire and my car was dying on the way home. Pretty unsafe. You would think I wouldn't come back here after that-well the cuteness of it overtook me. I came back for a inspection which you would think would be simple. It isn't-not at Hoepfl Adolf. Someone was getting checked out when I got there and the desk clerk seemed a bit lost. Not good when they are the only ones in there. Anyhow when I got the chance to ask for an inspection-they said it was a 45m wait. And that was the wait time for actually getting the car in. Pretty horrible service-they shouldn't offer inspections if they can't do them efficiently. I went down the road to another place because I didn't want to spend an hour at this place with the lost desk clerk. I have to give them 4 stars because they would actually give me a ride back and sometimes even pick me up when I had to take my other car here. They DON'T have to do that and I am VERY appreciative of it. However when I purchased a newer car and took it in to get completely inspected by them (it was a new, USED car) their mechanic somehow missed that in 2 of my tires metal wires were very visible. I only found out after going to check the air in my tires a couple months later at Discount Tire. NOT SAFE. I have an angel watching over me because I drove that car out of town after this inspection. I am only NOW writing a review because its been a year and my check engine light is on and I would like to have my car inspected again for anything it may need and am still debating if I should take it here or not. If I do they will know about their mechanics mistake and I am pretty sure my car will be given extra attention because of that but the only thing keeping me looking for yet another shop still is the fact that they are not open on weekends. I would really like to have my car back in a couple days and not be without a car for a whole week. :/ read more

I felt like I stepped back into time to a small town where people took an interest in each other's lives and called you by name. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I went in for an oil change and a state inspection, and found them to be honest about any work that needed to be done on the vehicle and fair with their pricing. Expensive and condescending. Went here last week because my battery was shorting out and I needed a replacement quickly (our normal garage was too far away to get to with a car that was losing electronics every 30 seconds). I should have trusted my instincts and driven 250' up the road to O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Long story short, they charged me $41 for a 3 minute battery test, tried to sell me a $125 battery when "oh, yeah, look at that! We also have a $88 battery with the same warranty in stock", and charged $45 for a 5 minute installation. O'Reilly's would have done a free battery check and swapped it for free too. Oh, don't forget about the SIX major services they tried to upsell me on. They said I needed a transmission fluid flush. I asked if they checked the level, and the woman said yes, of course, with the dipstick, and it was dark and cloudy. Well, I have a manual transmission (closed system), so no, you didn't check the dipstick. She said I needed all of my hoses replaced. I asked if they were bad or leaking, and she said "No, but your car is 10 years old and has 100k miles". Ok, but are they bad? When I waved off the $3000 worth of upsell charges, she got super rude and said "Ok, I'm just informing you and putting it on your account". One lady behind the desk I spoke with while waiting was very nice, but the woman who took my keys was terrible. And then, when it was time to check out, suddenly nobody was available to take my card and give me my keys. My wife has had the same condescending and upsell experience - we only used to go there for the state inspections because our normal (fantastic) garage doesn't do them. Never again. We will not visit Adolf Hoepfl again. read more
