They changed my pick up date twice and cancelled day of and claimed they could do that. Final delivery is the same run around it's like they try to hold your items additional months to make you pay. PLEASE LISTEN TO MY REVIEW: I have been a customer since 2019, before another company purchased this company. This go round, I put my belongings in storage in November of 2024. My billing date was the 16th of the month although I always paid on the 1st of the month. In February of 2025, a representative told me that I could change my due date to the first after I pay the late fees for February. I told the representative that no one informed me of this action, so I informed the representative after I pay what I owe on the 1st of March, please change my due date. April 1st came and I was charged a late fee again. I spike to a supervisor on April 15th and he told me that due to my troubles on getting the due date changed, my next due date would be June 1st for my regular price of $234. So May 1st came and I happen to go grocery shopping and found out I had no funds in my account due to a charge of $351 on May 1st from Clutter. I immediately filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, in which they failed to respond to according to the BBB. Everyday, since May 1st, I have contacted Clutter via chat and phone and have been told a "supervisor" "leadership team" and "management" would attend to my issue that should have been resolved with the supervisor I spoke to on April 15th, but I keep getting the run around. Representatives keep telling me my issue has been escalated and someone would respond in 24-48 hours. This morning, I spoke to a gentleman and he told me he had to "investigate" my issue and would call me back in an hour. Several hours has passed and no one has called me back about my money being stolen out of my account. I really believe that Clutter is taking advantage of me for no reason that I conclude at this time. I plan to remove my belongings from this company as soon as possible due to the blatant lies that I have been told since February of 2025. If you need your belongings stored for any amount of time, I suggest you find another company because this company is continues to do bad business with me. I really disagree with the fact that this company continues to lie every time I bring up one simple issue. Since Clutter refused to respond to the BBB, I am leaving a review here as well as other agencies until I receive the proper treatment, which is the basic customer service that everyone should receive when they are getting paid each month. So glad I found Clutter on Yelp. We had to get our house ready for sale. We had a lot of stuff and furniture to put away so that we can stage the home. As we were on a tight timeframe, this was a great solution. I also applied the yelp offer and got $50 off, and they also offer a $100 Amazon gift card if you fill out a survey after the service. We will store our stuff for 3 months or so. This option is more economical than renting a storage place and hauling the stuff there ourselves and back. I really hurt me to have to give Clutter a 2 Star review. But I just can't not after their change in structure. All the employees I've ever met have been wonderful and helpful but I just can't' with these changes recently. I get times are hard or whatever but this wasn't what I agreed to when I signed up for this service. When I signed up for Clutter In April of this year in preparation for the consolidation of several storage units I was informed that my rental price included several pickup and drop-offs a month. So I didn't mind paying the higher fee. It helps me out as I have an injury and cannot lift heavy objects anymore. Then at the end of my moves last month I suddenly had a fee of $9 an item plus a truck fee attached to that move. I received no communication about this change or anything. I had to call to find out there had been a change in their pricing structure. No warning no formal communication. Today I had a pick up that I scheduled understanding there would be a $9 pick up fee per item. So I made sure I had a good number of items worth the price but also remembering a few months ago this was included in my rent which is still higher than other self-storage units in the area. In the end, it would be been cheaper for me to just one-time hire movers and a UHAUL! I was quoted $135. (I pay nearly $300 a month to have my unit) I received an invoice today for $175. There was apparently a truck fee even though the website assured me there wasn't for the date I selected. At this point, I'll be looking for another storage facility and having my final move out from clutter before the month is over. I'm not paying over $400 a month to store items and then have them returned to me when I need them. I can pay half that price and drive to local self-storage myself. If I had known this pricing change was coming when I originally called I would have never agreed. The least they could have done is been straight forward about it. Their service might be good for off seasonal items but for someone like me with a lot to store it's not cost-effective. read more

We've submitted claims and have called several times, only to be told our claims are pending review. No calls back, no updates, nothing. Do not under any circumstances use this company as they are dishonest! The tool on their website is misleading. After I entered all of my requirements for storage, the tool indicated that I needed 10 x 10 storage. When they had placed all of my belongings on their truck, the tool indicated that 10 x 15 storage was only 87% full (it apparently updates in real time). However, once they got to their warehouse, I suddenly needed 10 x 20 storage (what happened to the real time updates??). As a result, I've landed up paying double what I was quoted and clearly the tool cannot be trusted if things change on the fly. Also, don't be fooled by the 2 hours included for packing and transportation. I had my entire apartment (1.5 bedrooms) packed up (boxes packed and sealed) and furniture dismantled. Yet they took 6 hours in total to wrap my large furniture and pack all of my belongings into their truck. Why, I hear you ask? Because, they photograph everything, barcode it and in my case, put sellotape on top of sellotape! They claimed that this was needed to secure the boxes even more. However, all of my boxes were already sealed so I felt this was utter B/S. This is where your first 2 hours will be spent. They then spent an additional 3:30 hours wrapping 7 (2 were round coffee tables) pieces of furniture. I'm a minimalist so I really don't have a lot of furniture. In fact, on the day that they were scheduled to pick up my belongings, I updated my list of items as I'd finished packing all of my boxes and their tool still indicated that I only needed 10 x 10 storage. As such, I've landed up paying double the storage I was quoted plus an additional $515 on the day for packing and transport. It's really difficult to say no when your items are already on their truck and on the way to their warehouse! Stay far, far away. When I submitted a claim, all I got was $79 and as everyone else has indicated, there is no way that you can speak to a supervisor. Based on all the negative feedback about this company, I'm shocked that they are still in business. As someone else indicated, maybe it's time we looked at a class action lawsuit as they are not listening to their customers. Their proprietary software is clearly misleading and they are somehow getting away with charging folks after the fact. I will definetely be laying a complaint with the BBB and any other consumer bodies as they cannot be allowed to get away with this sort of behavior. Totally and utterly disgusted and believe me, I will be sharing my experiences far and wide. PS - When they arrive, they spend 10 to 15 mins photographing everything and then you suddenly get an updated quote to sign. This is where they get you! Do not under any circumstances sign this document if it does not align with your original quote. That is where I should've said no, but guess what......you will pay $200 for an on the day cancellation! read more

They bind you to an 8 month contract and then when go to get your stuff out it's another $449 to get everything out and you have to make an appointment but beware you better be ready for a preauthorization charge or they will cancel your appointment and you'll have to reschedule which could be another week! I have been a member for a year and half and everything was good until I wanted to close my account. I no longer live in California and therefore had nowhere to have my stuff delivered to that fit in their delivery parameters. Like I had done previously, I had an arrangement for a family member to go pick up my boxes like I had done previously but this time they were not allowed to unless they were a certified 3rd party moving company. Since there was nowhere to deliver the boxes they told me I had to do a truck to truck transfer in a random park with a 4 hour delivery drop off window in 104 degree heat. I asked if we could sign a waiver for liability purposes to pick up my boxes at their location. They said no and it is because they wanted the delivery charge and to charge for labor. It even shows on their website items can be picked up, except on final delivery. Again, because they wanted the higher fees. It ended up costing an additional $225 just to have them drop off my items in a park and not even transfer them to our truck. They left them on the pavement. We had to pay their movers $80 too as they were told it was only a drop off. So it costs over $300 just to close out my account when any other storage unit you would simply close your account and pay your last month of storage fees. Never again. read more

This was my first time using the Clutter service and I am so very happy! Javier (lead) and Adrian were awesome. They were efficient and packed our furniture carefully and they had all of the supplies needed. And all of the packing/wrapping cane at no extra charge. As for the Clutter service, in general, I am impressed for the additional reasons: -easy-to-use online too to post the inventory (and make updates) -direct phone call 3 days before from a member of the Clutter team to confirm my understanding of everything as well as advise me that my inventory required a smaller space plan and they moved me to that new plan, saving us money -Day-of communications: I first received a text telling me that I was job #2 and showed me on a map where the team was working, it then told me that the team was in their way and showed me their progress so I could make sure I was outside to meet them -plan size update - As Javier was finishing the "paperwork" on his smartphone, he advised that our stuff would fit a smaller plan and that they were moving us there and thus saving us more money. Amazing! -photos of everything: photos were taken of the box contents and our furniture for future reference and optional return of one item if needed I am so incredibly happy with the Clutter service! I love this service...I would have given them the highest rating of 5 stars until today. When I first started using them about 6 months ago, their pick up and delivery was free. Then I got an email saying that they had to change the rules and only one pick up or delivery each month was free. That's ok...I get it. Today I had a pick up, scheduled it about 2 weeks ago...haven't had a pick up or delivery in over 2 months. When I scheduled it, the website said it was free and I thought it would be since I haven't used them in over 2 months, Got the confirmation emailing telling verifying the pick up and the charges say free. Nowhere in the booking or an email or anywhere does it ever day it is not free on high volume days. I didn't get the text like I normally do so I could track them..so I sat in the house during my scheduled 4 hour time window of them showing up. Nice and professional as usual. After they picked up my stuff, I got an email saying they charged my debit card 65.00 for one mover. I was really pissed because I really try to go by the rules. I wrote and asked why and they told me because I scheduled it on one of their high volume days. I asked them for a copy of these new rules and they said they didn't have any, this was their new policy.... So how do you know when it is a high volume day? Next time I am calling and getting something in writing that it is free when I need them to come out again. So upset! read more
