I recently visited Clyde's Drive-In and had an incredible experience. I ordered the chicken tender basket with onion rings, and it was simply delicious. The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the onion rings were a delightful accompaniment. Additionally, I tried the mushroom Swiss burger basket, and it was fantastic. We love Clyde's ! We time our trips to the U.P. to ensure we hit Clyde's at lunch time. They are a step above 5 Guys in my opinion in regards to the quality of burger. I'd recommend trying to get your hands on a menu prior to arrival as their menu is bit overwhelming if you are a first time visitor and have a server waiting on you to order. Either way, they are very courteous. Food was served hot and in a reasonable amount of time. We've been to both St Ignace and Sault Ste Marie locations. Either did not disappoint. read more

This place has great food - when you can actually get it. Walked in, waited almost 30 minutes before even able to order. Then am told it's another 40 minutes at least for food. As call-in orders are being told 30 minutes. As cars that I've seen drive up and order since I've been standing there have already received their food. The customers inside are completely ignored and put on the back burner. At least I got to stand and watch the staff eat food on the line while cooking. read more

Chuckwagon has a small kids' menu (the Lil' Buckaroo's Menu), with four items on it. Your kids can choose from a pb & j sandwich, a hot dog, a grilled cheese sandwich and mac & cheese. My little buckaroo chose the mac & cheese, which I believe was Kraft mac & cheese. Kids' menu items don't come with anything additional. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. You can sit at the counter and watch the action happen, or if you're lucky, you can find one of the few tables lining the wall or located in the back of the restaurant. Either way, depending on when you visit, you might encounter a crowd! But I think it's worth it to visit this old-school diner-type restaurant.
