A friend and I came here to try their chicken. It was very modify and crispy. The snow onion sweet chicken was great but I would have liked more sauce on it. Drinks are self serve and you pick your own table after ordering at the front. The place looked clean and they had photos of their dishes all over the walls. Staff were quiet and quick. There is also free parking out front.

Very disappointed with my experience at CM Chicken. I was pretty excited to try this place in Texas given that I have tried other locations across the country. When we first entered, the smell of the restaurant was not pleasant, something like dirty water being used to clean the place. We went to the cashier to place our order and felt that he was not well versed with the menu and was confused with what we were trying to order. We ended up getting the 10 tenders, half w/ garlic spicy with snow sauce, and the other half w/ soy garlic. Lastly, we ordered the rose tteokbokki. The rose tteokbokki was sad. When it came out, the tteokbokki pieces were the smallest rice cakes I have ever been served in a restaurant and there was very little of it. Tasting it, I could tell that it was prepackaged rose tteokbokki that was most likely microwaved prepared. Many of the rice cakes were undercooked. The curry sauce tasted sour, borderline rancid. Keeping in mind that I have tried other CM Chicken's, this did not taste on brand. The spicy garlic sauce was fine. We brought it up to the management telling them of our concerns with the tteokbokki being undercooked and the curry sauce tasting sour. They offered to re-prepare the rose tteokbokki and the curry sauce chicken but we opted to just change to garlic soy. When the rose tteokbokki came out for a second time, it was definitely overdone in the microwave. The rice cakes were dried out, leathery, and overdone. For $14, it was the tiniest serving I have ever seen from a Korean restaurant, and we could've gone to hmart and gotten a better version for less. The garlic soy sauce was okay, but tasted watered down/diluted compared to what I've had before at other chains. My friends and I were very disappointed with CM chicken at Richmond, and definitely won't be coming back.

+Customer service was excellent. -The Korean Fried Chicken was super spicy regardless of flavor choices. -No beer served, which defeats South Korea's tradition of ChiMc. IYKYK. -Store was a bit untidy.

I did not care for this place at all. First, the restaurant had this odor that comes from rotten water when mopping. The food took too long to be served. Seating is very very limited. If u go with a big family, good luck trying to rearrange the few tables. We got the tenders in couple of flavors. Garlic spicy and garlic soy sauce Average at best. Their sauces did not compliment the chicken. It tasted too sweet and chicken was way too battery! Fries were somewhat decent. Epic failure. Tsk tsk tsk. This is a closed capture.

I LOVE this franchise solely for their onion chicken. To all my peeps who thinks get flavor fatigue from KFC after a few pieces and my onion lovers - this is the place to be. Each piece of chicken alone is battered and seasoned very well - the fry is crispy and thin but not crunchy or dry. I am in LOVEEEE with the Snow Onion. It is a MUST because it cuts down on the greasyness of the food and helps brighten up your meal so you can keep going. The sauce is like a sweetened aioli and pairs so well with the thinly sliced onion. If you want something more savory the Padak Soy is just soy garlic wings topped with spring onion. The chicken came out SUPER hot but I couldn't even wait and ate through the pain. yummy and Alina were so sweet and helpful, the service was amazing Note: At this location, snow onions and the spring onions in Padak soy is considered an add on for $2 :/ also keep in mind the snow onion chicken will get soggy after 10 mins so either ask for sauce on the side or eat it quick! Limited seating also which makes me feel like this is meant for to-go orders because they also didn't give plates unless asked for even though we mentioned dining in.

Got the chance to try @cmchickenhtx, a new restaurant in the area. this is a Korean Style fried chicken spot. They have many different sauce options, and all are very unique and very different from other fried check spots. We ordered the wings in multiple different sauces, Garlic Soy, Mala, Hot Honey, Garlic Spicy, and Red Hot Pepper, also ordered Leg & Thigh in Garlic Soy Sauce. first off, the crispyness of the chicken was on point, just perfection. and for the sauces I honestly enjoyed them all, favorites would be the Garlic Spicy which was very flavorful, Red Hot Pepper had a kick to it, Hot Honey was also very interesting initially sweet with a kick at the end. The Leg & Thigh was good aswell but just an FYI trying to eat a thigh piece drenched in sauce gets a little messing, going forward I will stick to the wings or tenders. Overall this is a great new option in Richmond TX. Great addition to the Halal seen, and an alternate to the traditional fried chicken spots

Wait time crazy... 1 hour. Really good wings. HALAL. it's exciting to taste such quality and unique flavors- multiple levels of heat but if you're a first timer, make sure to try the soy garlic wings. They don't answer phones because of how packed it gets but hopefully that will change. Chill, casual ambience. Fully HALAL menu.

Great first impression! CM Chicken recently opened and thought I'd check them out. Best decision of the day, because the chicken was great. Only got to check out two flavors but the CM Original is very well seasoned and perfectly crispy. The Garlic Soy may be favorite of the two samples. The sauce is not overpowering and doesn't take away the crispy texture, just a great complement seasoned thighs. I really like the fact that they aren't just another wing and tender restaurant but offer bone-in thighs that are super juicy.

The tteokbokki is hard, stuck together, and very small. It looks bigger than it actually is in the picture.

Mozzarella stick 2/5 flavorless but crispy Mep Snow 5/5 Curry 4/5 You know sometimes, when you feel like your life is going well but you are addicted to toxicity and want someone to hurt you, CM Chicken is the place to go for the burn! The size of the chicken is definitely nothing to scuff at and while we did have to wait for about 15 minutes for our chicken, it was well worth the crispy and juicy bite we got in return! My favorite was definitely the Mep Snow, which is a sweet and hot sauce that saves most of its kick in the after burn. But its so absolutely delicious that I kept coming back for another bite despite my cramping stomach. The Curry is also very delicious and the first time I have seen this as an option in KFC. It's a perfect compliment to the spicy Mep Snow but by the end, I was feeling overwhelmed by the sweetness. My biggest gripe with this restaurant is that they only serve bottled drinks, even water. So I feel like it was a cheap shot to force everyone to buy drinks when they serve hot and spicy KFC. But other than that, the staff are all very friendly and the cherry on top is that all of their chicken are Halal!

Spicy garlic and original with loaded fries

The chicken here is top-tier, high-quality meat with an incredible crunch, and the flavors are both delicious and unique. I highly recommend the chicken strips; the 5-piece portion is huge (easily enough for a grown man), and even the leftovers held their crunch the next day. Tip: portions are very generous, so consider sharing. The loaded fries can definitely be split between two people. They also offer a sampler box, which is a great way to try out their variety of sauces and dips, definitely worth it if it's your first visit. Service-wise, the staff could be a little more informative when it comes to explaining the menu or portions but they were attentive and friendly. It's a small place with not much ambiance, but if you're after some damn good chicken, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

The place was clean. The food was prepared as we ordered, it came out piping hot. Fries were crispy and flavorful. The tenders were a good portion and very crispy. The wings were huge, the flavor was sweet but also spicy. The rice cakes were a bit on the small end, the flavor was also good, they included fish cakes. Staff was friendly.

I have had so much KFC in my day and it's a dish I'm passionate about. CM chicken blew me away on first impression. I got hot honey and garlic soy... my goodness- the crisp, the flavor, the spice, the chicken... 10/10! I don't give 5 stars often but well deserved. Chicken performed strongly in all essential KFC categories- crispiness, umami flavors, sauce to crisp ratio. The masala fries were also really good and resto seemed clean.

We had originally planned on trying out their buffet, but we showed up a bit too late where there were only bits of food left, and they weren't planning on refilling the buffet, so, we decided to stay anyway and to order off the menu..... and we're all glad we did! The interior is very spacious, casual, and clean.... and having shown up so late, there was no crowd, the place was peaceful and calm, and a great time for us to enjoy our meal.. with very good service focused only on us. I'm typically not familiar with Nepalese food, but perusing the menu, the dishes offered looked almost exactly like a typical Indian restaurant's menu, except there were some additional hybrid Indian/Chinese dishes, like the Momo dumplings that are typical and popular dish familiar to this Nepali region. Fortunately, there were four of us dining in and we were able to order a variety of dishes that sounded really yummy..... like the Steamed Chicken Momos (dumplings), Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower coated in a spicy sweet sauce), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Lachna Paratha, and Garlic Naan. How was the food? I don't eat lamb or goat so I can't comment, but the others in the group mentioned the meat was a bit tough, but the curries tasted excellent. As for everything else, I did get to try it all, and everything was so hot, fresh, and prepared just perfectly.... so yummy delicious! Not too sweet, not to salty, and just a great balance of flavors and textures. My all time favorite Indian dish being the saag paneer....pureed spinach with cubes of goat cheese....yummeee! And went great with the breads fresh out of the oven..... very happy and satisfied! This place was a great find as we all enjoyed the food here very much. Service was very good, and with a very nice, casual, and pleasant ambiance. We don't visit here very often since we're from our of town, but if we do visit again, we'll definitely be back again.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

The interesting thing about Wise Street Eats is that you can opt to build a healthy bowl with Greek inspirations, or you can do what I did and order the Dirty Mac bowl with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese and cajun fries. I'm a real sucker when restaurants put "Most Popular" on their menu, which made my decision to order this, a quick one. What I will say is that, while I enjoyed the Dirty Mac, in retrospect, I would have preferred if it was a side dish, rather than my entire meal, because it was quite heavy (as one would expect). About halfway through it, I realized I was going to have to bring the energy to take down this valiant opponent. Next time, I'll build a bowl. Or maybe even go with a burger. But I do appreciate the dirty mac and if I was still a man who got hungover, I'd consider it a pretty elite hangover remedy.
