My only disappointments were that they didn't offer Wi-Fi, and I don't think feta cheese should be an additional charge when ordering a Mediterranean bowl..feels like an ingredient that should come with it. Even though it was a small, it was more like regular size for me, very filling. I enjoyed the bowl and thought it was tasty and fresh for a quick meal. The Gyro Bowl was absolutely amazing! The ingredients are all fresh and tasted amazing. Genuinely one of the best tasting salad bowls in the whole richmond area! The service was perfect! Ugh- almost 1pm on a Saturday- service is slow, when building a pita I specifically said NO ONIONS, the dude put onions on it. When I kindly corrected him, he walked away for someone else to fix it. I read that the portion size is decent that they provide and that was the case before as I have visited this location several times but this time they cheap out on everything single item. It was very busy but the staff took their time to go over my gluten, soy, dairy, beef and paprika food sensitivities to see what I can have. Despite all the long lines, they had excellent customer service. They make their falafels and fries fresh and they're always so good! We order a rice and salad bowl combo over chicken. You can order small, regular or large. Their toppings are fresh and the meats are tasty. Meats : gyro, chicken or spicy chicken. Toppings: lettuce, cucumbers , onions, bell peppers, olives, pickles, jalapeños, corn, and cheese. I couldn't try the sauces but my husband gave 2 thumbs up for the white and the tzatziki sauce. Love that they have both indoor and patio seating! Overall, great food and experience. Whenever I am craving some quick Mediterranean food, I head down to Gyro Republic! They are a chain restaurant, but never seem to disappoint. This specific local in the Aliana area is a bit small inside, but they do have a front patio, and indoor seating. I'd like to describe this place as "Chipotle" or "Subway" style, where you can have a Gyro or bowl built in front of you with all the ingredients that you desire. In the past I've had their gyros, and have either chosen lamb or falafel. On other occasions, I've simply just been in a mode for some hummus and pita bread. They make delicious hummus! Usually the service is pretty descent. Not out of this world, but you'll find some young kiddos just working the front. On my last visit I had a bowl with the lamb mix, and a side of falafel, along with a fountain drink. It definitely hit the spot as we kick of the new year. The chicken was tender and the flavors were all good. I tried all three sauces and loved them. It could have been hotter but I was a pick up order so dining in is probably your best bet at the freshest food. I 1000% agree with every bad review this place has and here's more to add to that. 1) Whoever owns this location doesn't deserve to have this business. I hope it goes out of business, or a better businessman or woman comes in and takes over. 2) If one of the staff tells you they are the manager don't believe them, they lie to you. The manager is likely never here probably only to pick up money and tell the staff to offer a free drink to anyone who has to wait too long and to make sure they only give you one little sauce per dish. 3) This location only cares about there bottom line, they can careless about you. 4) Whoever sits there and responds to each of these reviews is only doing so to do damage control, when what they really need is a wake up call.
