Quick and convenient. Like that they had a half order available of the urban fries. My fries did not come with the pickles as advertised and were heavily over sauced but I still enjoyed it. Food here is a bit salty as each thing is seasoned (fries, chicken, sauce) so if you need to watch your sodium intake be mindful.

Because I did so bad on my cheat day I thought I should counter it with some protein (heh heh). I think There used to be one of these shops on Kirby. But I didn't get to try it before they closed shop. So I thought I'd give them a try while in the burbs. The girl at the counter was super nice. She seemed new but she was really helpful and smiled and was everything you'd want in an employee. The tenders were soft and tasty. I got the Nashville hot and it was medium spice level for us Asians.

Hot Chicken Sandwich still going strong, tried @urbanbirdhotchicken for the first time and was impressed, definitely would say it's one of the better hot chicken sandwich spots. we ordered the Sando (Nashville Hot spice level), Urban Fries and the Tender Basket. the Sando was perfect, the bun to chicken ratio, the flavor and slaw was all on point, also the Nashville Hot spice level was ideal for me, anything more and I would be able to handle it but you wouldn't enjoy the meal Also enjoyed the Urban Fries, Fries, Chopped up chicken tenders, Mac & Cheese drenched with sauce just can't go wrong with that. Richmond TX location is Halal

Urban bird turned out pretty good on my visit. We ordered the chicken sando and the tender and waffle meal. The sandwich was massive. It was a big, juicy chunky breast of chicken that came with all the fixings. The tenders were also very decent size and accompanied with a Belgian style crispy waffle. Once again, the tenders were good and flavorful. The waffle needed to be toasted a little bit more, as it was soft and tender. Perhaps, 90 more seconds would have done the job in the iron. Orders can be done via app or in person. I ordered thru the website. They also have.a reward program. There are enough seating inside and a decent amount of bar stools. I'll be back soon.

I came here on a Sunday looking to try the chicken, but I was a bit disappointed. I got the 2 piece tenders basket and the Mexican corn to sub for the fries. I got Nashville Hot, but didnt think it was too spicy, nor flavorful, and it also tasted a bit sweet (which I am not a fan of). The corn was really disappointing. The bird sauce was also not anything special to me. Staff was nice though. Overall, it was ok. Maybe I'll try the other spices to see if it's better than Nashville Hot someday.

urban bird mac and cheese with cheeto powder on side

The food here is all right but overpriced for hot chicken. The bird pack gets the most value in terms of dollar, but the other options aren't worth it in my opinion. There's not enough chicken in each of the entree options to merit getting them. I would say it's the best halal hot chicken place in Richmond and the easiest one to go to if you live in Aliana, but the last time I went, they forgot all of our bird sauces. What's even the point of getting hot chicken, if we're not gonna get sauce with it. I like the seasoning on their fries. But I'm seriously reconsidering going again if we really don't get sauce with the chicken anymore. If you get the mac and cheese with hot cheeto side, they don't mix the mac and cheese with the hot cheeto 'powder', you have to do it yourself. The side is mid at best, the cup is also too small to easily mix it yourself. Not worth it, I like both of the fry options more if you're going to get them.

I had the dry rub bbq chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. I enjoyed it. Hubby didn't like his mild spicy hot chicken sandwich as much. They had strawberry lemonade, mango drinks that were good. Overall I enjoyed my dinner. Service was fast and friendly.

    Roselyn A.

So I've only ordered from Urban through door dash, so not sure how the restaurant looks inside. The first time I ordered they forgot my sauce on the side, so the chicken sandwich was mid. The second time I ordered it with the sauce on, the sandwich was so much better. Sweet potato fries were also pretty good. They don't taste bad after reheating so that's a plus

We had originally planned on trying out their buffet, but we showed up a bit too late where there were only bits of food left, and they weren't planning on refilling the buffet, so, we decided to stay anyway and to order off the menu..... and we're all glad we did! The interior is very spacious, casual, and clean.... and having shown up so late, there was no crowd, the place was peaceful and calm, and a great time for us to enjoy our meal.. with very good service focused only on us. I'm typically not familiar with Nepalese food, but perusing the menu, the dishes offered looked almost exactly like a typical Indian restaurant's menu, except there were some additional hybrid Indian/Chinese dishes, like the Momo dumplings that are typical and popular dish familiar to this Nepali region. Fortunately, there were four of us dining in and we were able to order a variety of dishes that sounded really yummy..... like the Steamed Chicken Momos (dumplings), Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower coated in a spicy sweet sauce), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Lachna Paratha, and Garlic Naan. How was the food? I don't eat lamb or goat so I can't comment, but the others in the group mentioned the meat was a bit tough, but the curries tasted excellent. As for everything else, I did get to try it all, and everything was so hot, fresh, and prepared just perfectly.... so yummy delicious! Not too sweet, not to salty, and just a great balance of flavors and textures. My all time favorite Indian dish being the saag paneer....pureed spinach with cubes of goat cheese....yummeee! And went great with the breads fresh out of the oven..... very happy and satisfied! This place was a great find as we all enjoyed the food here very much. Service was very good, and with a very nice, casual, and pleasant ambiance. We don't visit here very often since we're from our of town, but if we do visit again, we'll definitely be back again.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

I got the white sauce on the lamb and the spicy red sauce on the side. Unfortunately after a few bites I put too much hot sauce on, which made it less enjoyable, but that was my fault. Sadly, it closed shortly after my visit. But I read in the reviews that this was formerly a Burrito District, so I didn't even realize this was the former Ori'Zaba's until I walked in. So apparently this spot has struggled to keep one concept for whatever reason. The interesting thing about Wise Street Eats is that you can opt to build a healthy bowl with Greek inspirations, or you can do what I did and order the Dirty Mac bowl with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese and cajun fries. I'm a real sucker when restaurants put "Most Popular" on their menu, which made my decision to order this, a quick one. What I will say is that, while I enjoyed the Dirty Mac, in retrospect, I would have preferred if it was a side dish, rather than my entire meal, because it was quite heavy (as one would expect). About halfway through it, I realized I was going to have to bring the energy to take down this valiant opponent. Next time, I'll build a bowl. Or maybe even go with a burger. But I do appreciate the dirty mac and if I was still a man who got hungover, I'd consider it a pretty elite hangover remedy.
