Function Hosts BEWARE! For the brides-to-be or the function hosts who are considering planning a special event, I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you to consider going with this establishment. I spent months and a couple thousand dollars at this restaurant researching, tasting, and planning for a special event to host 40 people for a celebration here. I worked with a planner whom I felt was really going to bring my vision to life, only to have tremendous disappointment and shocking happenings occur the day of my event. This, all the while signing a contract and paying deposits and financial balances ,in advance, to a business that clearly stands behind chasing dollar signs vs. upholding exceptional client service, as "they promise". Happenings including: they knowingly over-booked 4 other functions the day of my event. They were knowingly short-staffed for the set-up, execution, and run-of -show for my function. In order to start on time, some of my guests had to step in (literally moving furniture and draping linens on tables) due to being so short-staffed and unable to receive my guests at the promised start time of of my function. I was embarrassed when some of my guests arrived to find me, behind the bar, finishing rinsing and washing glassware because my hired bartender (bar tender fee paid in advance) was over OVER AN HOUR LATE getting in-place to my function because he was over-booked and couldn't set up the welcome drinks promised to my guests upon their arrival. When management (saw guests assisting the set-up) and was informed about the chaos ensuing, she was witnessed being seen at the restaurant bar fraternizing with other staff, after acknowledging the planner for my event was in the weeds and felt she didn't need to help and SHE FULLY ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ACTION when called-out on it, due to a personal drama had behind the scenes with other staff- HOW IS THIS PROFESSIONAL?! I was also upsold on purchasing an additional prime rib (to the tune of $375 per order), to avoid the potential of running out of main dish for my guests, only to see that the meat station attendant (again an extra fee added in) was serving shaved deli slices to my guests, resulting in me taking home over 26 lbs of prime rib that NEVER GOT SERVED! I had even taken a brief meeting with the cook who was catering my event explaining how I wanted generous cuts served that evening, and he assured me he would tell his staff- that communication never happened! I was faced with shoulder shrugs when asked why the meal hadn't been served the way it was agreed upon. After the function, two meetings were had with both "management" and the owner to resolve the breaches of the contract- the manager admitted wrong-doing on several occasions, admitted lying about conversations had between herself and my planner, the owner was extremely rude, intrusive, condescending, a bully, and EXTREMELY HOMOPHOBIC! He insulted myself, my mother and my Partner multiple times during the meeting. There were no apologies offered, nor acknowledgment of wrong doing, and no desire to work to make this right. Instead, insults were thrown at the paying client across a table for trying to hold a venue accountable to a contract that they designed and they breeched- hardly professional. Don't let the pretty floral landscape fool you, there's a reason why none of the websites view this venue as a 5-star experience, and clearly there's a reason why they can't hold on to a staff if that's how they treat people. Bummed about our anniversary night out at Coachmen's. We had 7:30 reservation and were brought to our table on the pretty lawn about 8:00. Ladies room had no toilet paper- found out too late, so that wasn't good. Ordered a couple of apps which were dropped at our table by a runner. We had no plates, forks, knives for a good 10 minutes. We kept trying to get attention of a waitress and finally got the attention of a hostess that sat people at the next table. She turned and walked away saying, "ask your server- I'm a hostess". Rude. Finally we got our waitress. Our meals came out probably half hour later by same runner. Plops them on table and rushed away. Husband wanted stuff for his baked potato etc- couldn't get attention of anyone so we started to eat. We ate Thanksgiving dinner there yesterday and it was our first time eating out for this holiday. We enjoyed it so much we're already planning to go back next year. The food was delicious and our waitress was a sweetheart! We didn't feel rushed at all which was one of my concerns about going out to eat for Thanksgiving. I don't think we could have asked for more. We went to the Coachman for Thanksgiving. They had a 'limited' menu but honestly there was more than enough to chose from- turkey, ham, steaks and fish. The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious! The place was pretty full but speed of service was within reason.. The atmosphere is relaxed but definitely not like going to an Applebee's or a TGiF's.. A shirt and tie is not required but a place you do want to look nice and not someone that wandered in off the streets. read more

Asia noodle salad with tuna was just okay for $32. My Orzo salad was mushy and tasteless for a fourteen dollar salad. The flatbread pizza had a blob a cheese all over it and was not tasty for $14 dollars. The best part of the visit was the the waitress. She was very attentive and pleasant. We came for lunch and had a couple drinks and some apps, everything was delicious! Do yourself a favor and order the lamb lollipops! What a disappointment. Service was horrible, 5:30 reservation and by 7:00pm all we had was a salad and a glass of wine. We ordered salad as an appetizer our meal came out literally 30 seconds after we got the salad. Table was so tiny no room to put it all. We asked for them to hold our meal till we were done with the salad and the look we got, she was dumbfounded she literally said "ok, but it will probably get cold". Our waiter came in and out of the area we were in multiple times and never once came over to check on us - our water was gone, our wine was gone and our meals never came back out. By 7 we finally flagged the waiter down and voiced our complaints, he got the manger who came over and spoke to us with a very insincere tone and all she said was "sorry, would you like me to take over". We said no and asked for our check. As we were leaving our meals came out! great communication Coachmen's. We were charged $42 for two glasses of wine and a salad. Went recently and the experience was awful. Reservation for 5:30 and we never got to eat a meal, service was awful. We felt as we were invisible just one drink, no water refill, salad and meal came almost same time. Refused the meal so we could eat our salad. We never got another thing, server totally ignored us. We complained and manager spoke to us. She wasn't very apologetic offered to box our meal. This used to be a great place, now it is overpriced, short staffed and we weren't even offered a sincere apology or a comp drink, just the bill for $42 for a salad and 2 glasses of wine. This time I tried their dinner menu selection. Sushi grade Yellowfin tuna seasoned with a mildly spicy Asian rub, then pan seared. Served with a sweet soy dipping sauce, seaweed salad, tobiko and a sriracha aoli. I also had a glass of Knob Creek Rye. They do have a nice bourdon and whisky selection. My husband and I made reservations for Thanksgiving, as we usually visit your restaurant,especially for holidays. We had the worst experience this Thanksgiving. We checked in at the desk where2 girls were working. Couldn't find our reservation! We were treated very rudely! Never tried to help us, just Made a face and shrugged her shoulders! Embarrassing to say the least. So many people there, we walked into the bar area, got A very nice barmaid. We ate at the bar.. I originally made reservations for 3:30. We didn't eat to 5! First time there and my husband chicken parm with angle hair and loved it. I got filet mignon with baked potato and veggies. Filet was tender but dry and the potatoe was cold and so were the veggies. My martini was awesome. I will give it more more chance. read more

We've been wanting to try Coachmen's Lodge for several years and finally decided that our anniversary would be the perfect occasion. Walked in at our reservation time on a Wednesday night and waited for 7 minutes for someone to greet us and take us to our table. Just FYI, that's a long time to stand around wondering if that's the check in place or not. Finally seated, we proceeded to wait for excruciatingly long periods of time for every item we ordered. 20 minutes for a cocktail is too long. The food was good. Not phenomenal, but good. Worth the prices? No. Our waitress came around 3 times in total, including the time she brought the check. Never did have our waters refilled. My recommendation? Go somewhere else. read more

The new outdoor area is really nice, very mixed group of people ranging in age, more of an older (40+) crowd which is fine with me. Food is fairly priced and very fresh. We have been there several times and my ONLY complaint was one of those times the waitress we had tended to disappear a bit, actually quite a bit. The food came out quick and they have runners for the food so it gets to you as soon as it is done. The one time we had this particular waitress (Karen), she took about ten minutes to get our drink order once we sat down, another ten minutes for her to return and while I would have ordered another beer with my meal, my glass was empty until we finished our meal. She came by after a while and asked if we wanted another drink.....I passed. Bad enough that her service was terrible but I was not going to tip her off another drink order so I asked for the check which took another ten minutes to come back. I hate tipping for mediocre service but I think she knows she will get something and just goes about her way at her own pace and does not really smile to much. First time. Couldn't eat outside as the bees were very aggressive and swarming. Ate inside. Very rustic and cute. Would give a great rating on atmosphere. However the food wasn't good. Our appetizers. By the time our entrees came my husband had had enough- 2 hours and only an appetizer and drink? Then when he cut into his steak was terrible! Fatty and disgusting- I wouldn't feed it to the dog. We left without eating an entree it was quite honestly shockingly poor. Very impressive first impression when driving onto the premises. I probably wouldn't come back simply because of their inflated pricing. The outside was impressive but their entry way lobby area wasn't so much. I'm stuck on their menu prices - their interior ambiance should be more elaborate to justify their prices. Our server seemed overwhelmed and didn't really connect with us. Their food was served on very large plates. I was impressed with their portions. Our dishes were flooded with large amounts of butter - which obviously made them yummy. I also came here for a wedding in one of their rooms in the back - We walked through their bar area to another area with low ceilings - blah. Summer meals outside - I would give 4-5 stars. Ate here today for a Christmas Dinner with family. ...Horrible. Less than 1 star. Food was what you'd expect at a budget wedding. Ok less than what you'd expect. Lots of cheap sides. House salads covered in dressing, vegetables slathered in oil or butter or both. Cheap penne pasta with sauce. French fries that were frozen .... Just had dinner there. We look forward to having dinner there. My complaint is that the specials appeared last on the menu after the drinks. That made absolutely no sense. We are not drinkers so we did no go past the drinks so we missed the specials completely. The outcome could have been a 5 stars instead of 3. The specials should have been listed first or at least with the appetizers and entrees. The calamari appetizer was very tasty. The chicken parmigiana was apparently good too. This place is great. But the outside bar menu is ok but not like the restaurant menu. The have a different menu for outside and you can't get your favorites that you like. Plus they are over priced 17 dollars for a cheese burger and you can only get waffles fries. Eat inside for your favorite food then got outside for drinks. read more

My 2 star rating is generous. 1 star is for the close proximity to my home and the 2nd star is for the ambiance. The food and wait staff were horrendous.
