Well since you want to air this all out in the public forum I will respond to your response. You only called and left us messages yesterday and after my review, so I don't know what other "many times" you are talking about. We told you we would set a time up for you to look at the car again at our convenience. Well it hasn't been convenient yet. As far as my husband telling you I was happy with the car when you called, (3 days after we brought it in), that is NOT true. He said thus far he was happy with it since it worked on the drive home. I had not driven my car yet so how would he know if I was happy or not?? I don't drive my car that often and the first time that I did is when I brought it back to your shop. You can justify in your mind that raising your voice to me was ok because you were frustrated but that's not OK! Period! I did not feel comfortable with your raised tone of voice or by your behavior, that is why I went inside your shop to ask my friend to come outside with me. Now my MAX button still does NOT work and the air still is NOT blowing as cold or as hard as it should be or used to for that matter, especially since we purchased a new ac compressor from you. The MAX button was never broken before bringing it in to your shop. We brought the car in for you to fix the issue with the ac not blowing cold air and you told us we needed a new compressor. It was our understanding that you knew what you were doing and that the problem would be fixed. The problem was NOT FIXED!! In fact, I was left with a new problem. As far as my car being 19 years old it only has 140k miles on it and has been well kept I can assure you. If you truly wanted to work this out you would have at least waited 24 hours after calling us to return your call. Instead this is how you chose to work things out with us. So unprofessional!!! Justin was friendly over the phone and when I went to drop off my car. I needed B1 Mercedes service on my 2 year old car. He completed the work at the time he promised (which was awesome!) and found a leak in my transmission that would be repairable under warranty at a dealership. He encouraged me to get my car in ASAP for this repair, and I followed his advice. By comparison the dealership was impersonal and took over 36 hours to complete the repair, I had to call several times to find out when my car's repair would be completed. Guess what, I'm going to go back to Coast MBZ BMW the next time my car needs service. PS - the service was $100 less with Coast than with the dealer....25% less.... read more

Justin - I saw that you posted my text message that I sent you about Peggys car, and the issues with the A/C. Having spent $2,800 of my hard earned money on this, I guess now I have to respond to defend where she is coming from. I did get your voicemail yesterday, and your text message as well yesterday. Considering the short week that I have post Labor Day, I thought that the 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty had value and I did not have to jump through hoops to get right back to you. I would hope you would respect that fact. Prior to yesterday, I do not recall getting a call or message from you since Peggy brought her concerns to you a number of weeks ago. I did send you the text on 7/28, and I did make reference to Peggy being happy. I got way ahead of myself on that one, and let me clarify what I meant (as it was a busy week and I was trying to be respectful at that time and get back to you). She had not driven the car yet. I had driven it from your shop back to our home, and during that ten minute drive the A/C unit did seem to be working OK. I had assumed (stupidly, in hindsight) that it was fixed and noted that she was happy. She was happy I got the car back. She was happy I had (in theory) gotten the car fixed. She had not driven it, though. When she did for the first time, the A/C was NOT working. That is when she brought it to you with her friend. I will own the text, and how it is interpreted. I put Peggy in a bad spot by assuming it was fixed, assuming she would be happy when she drove the car, and assuming that it was actually good for the 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on my invoice that I paid $2,800 for. That is on me for assuming, and sending that text accordingly. I wish we got what we paid for and it was working as I assumed it would for that kind of money. By the way, I have taken the car to a number of places and they have said the same thing, that we have taken really good care of the car. Stating that it is 19 years old with 140,000 miles on it is irrelevant to the issue at hand. She is upset, and has a right to be. I cant just jump on 24 hours notice to get back to you on when I can the car to you. As it stands now, I have no intention of bringing the car to you to be reevaluated. Your welcome for the $2,800 I spent. If you are gonna post my texts, which you have a right to do, I guess, then be sure to post this response to your airing out my text for all to see. I honestly hoped she would be happy when she drove the car for the first time a number of weeks ago. The A/C works worse now that it did before we brought it in, so neither of us are happy. I usually don't feel compelled to leave reviews but I have to say this is probably best car repair service I've been to. Justin is very responsive and gives you a detailed run down of what needs to be fixed and what is recommended to be fixed. They also provide a detailed itemized report of what each part costs and what the labor costs. They also always call you up to approve any repairs and give you a cost rundown for each repair. SUPER Transparent. I've already had two Mercedes fixed up by Justin and his team, and have another appointment next week. They don't rip you off at all. For context, a local place we go to charged us $75 for generic wiper replacements. This place charged us $58 out the door for OEM wipers. Honestly a great value. Also both of the repairs were done within the same day when I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off first thing in the morning. read more

Took my daughter's 2004 BMW 530i to check out a fuel issue that my mechanic couldn't figure out. They did s complete diagnostic which not only resolved the fuel issue, but uncovered some worn out brake lines, and other safety isdues. Justin and his crew are not some fly-by-night operation, but know these cars like the back of their hand, using genuine OEM parts and care when servicing your vehicle. Most importantly, they are probably one of the last honest brokers when it comes to a mechanic's shop; had an issue with the turbocharger on my C300, other shop wanted $1700 for just a new turbo alone, plus parts and labor, which is extraordinarily steep considering it's a part that has like a 1% fail rate sans tinkering around with the boost pressure and mapping. Justin identified it was a failing waste-gate that's common with that motor, and got me in and out in a day spending only pennies on the dollar, and it hasn't been an issue since. read more

I have been taking my cars to Coast MBZ BMW since 2010. Back then I received a quote to repair a hose on a 1999 BMW 535i from the Pep Boys in Anaheim Hill for $1,100. They explained it was expensive because they had to charge me "list" on the parts. I had the car towed to Coast based on Yelp reviews. John -- the then owner -- quoted me $170 to fix the hose. I asked how he got such better pricing on BMW parts and he explained "at $170 I am charging you list." Since then they've helped me with a 2005 550i, 2012 640i, 2009 535i, and a 2011 535i. John has retired and Justin is the new owner. The service is as good as ever. There was only one time they couldn't identify the source of a noise, and after replacing the obvious parts without fixing the noise, they gave the car back to me with new parts zero charge. Still don't know what that noise was. Great expertise, customer service, and the ability to respond quickly if you're in a jam. I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more
