Personally not a fan. It is in a small shopping strip with lots of shops which I do enjoy with a great view of the water. However, almost all of there seats are at a bar and the chips they give you fly away from the wind, drinks fall off, menus go flying and it is just a disaster. We SUP'd up to this place for a beer and the menu looked so good we ate too. It was awesome. The fish tacos now rival as the best I've had in my life. They are pretty big so if you are just looking for a snack only order one. I disagree with the reviewer that said it was bland. I eat a lot of Mexican and am kind of a foodie; these tacos were complex and flavorful with a healthy dose of spice. I like spicy food so I added a little hot sauce and they were perfect. The customer service here was a bit pushy, but super nice people and happy to help. The food was alright, but I could make better myself. We went to Duck on a Thursday evening to walk the boardwalk...get some dinner and bounce in some shops. We stopped here as we'd seen it while visiting before and it looked like a neat place. Great atmosphere on the sound and there was someone there performing live music. First, I'll say my daughter loved the cheese quesadilla off the kids menu. It was full size, not the typical kid size you tend to get. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla. Very bland. The shrimp had no flavor or seasoning and were in the quesadilla with some diced tomatoes and lettuce. The wife got fish tacos and she had a similar report. Very bland, nothing special. If you need a drink, this looked like a great place to stop. If you're hungry for food beyond a kids quesadilla, try something other than the fish tacos or shrimp quesadilla and maybe you'll fare better. There's too many choices around, we won't return. It would also be nice if they had a little more shade for their tables. There's a couple of shade awnings in place, but they only cover 1/3 of the tables. Having seen enough sun during the day, it would have been nice to have had a little more shield (tables are first come, first serve and the only empty tables when we got there were in the sun. read more

Signs say sit at a table to be waited on. One waitress tells us she will be there soon, then another brusquely tells us to get up to be placed on a wait list but tells us she doesn't know how long or how many people are on it. Poor communication and shoddy treatment. AVOID. read more

It was the only casual spot to eat at off the boardwalk. They have some good ideas for food, but overall was just ok. The fish tacos were kind of bland, small, and generally unimpressive and the crab quesadilla was good and a little more novelty. The food overall was good enough, but just needed a little more something - presentation, flavor, heat... The service was ok - our waitress was nice but she disappeared a lot and we had to ask other waitresses for refills, which was kind of strange because it wasn't very busy. The drinks are fine except the margaritas arent with tequila only beer or wine. The food is very mediocre. The quesadillas and pizzadillas are terrible. The shrimp ceviche has no flavor and was almost unedible. The crab pizzadilla kept me in the bathroom the whole night. The seating is confusing and the barstools are fake logs that are very uncomfortable. If you are coming for drinks and chips and salsa/guac then you will probably be fine. Great little taco stand, right on the water. A break from the high prices, you can get decent food, fast, and look out on the sound. Awesome! We have been looking for good restaurants in Duck for years and this will be a new family favorite! We had the shrimp taco salad, mahi mahi tacos, and crispy wahoo tacos and everything was fresh and delicious. Nice taco joint right on the Sound in the Shops at Duck. Rich was our server and was attentive and very pleasant. My wife and older son had the duck tacos and said they were great while our you get son and I had quesadillas - his cheese and mine steak - and we were both happy. Absolutely horrible! I ordered a taco salad with the additional beef for $3.00 and it was extremely charred but remained very chewy. Also, I ordered a fish taco and the fish was fried to the point where the fish was 90% fried part 10% fish part. I definitely would NOT recommend this restaurant! read more

We stopped in for dinner on our way into town for vacation. It's a small, very casual spot facing the sound. Mostly bar seating with a few tables outside on the deck. The food was ok. My fish tacos were decent though, not as some other reviewer said, the best I've ever had. The guacamole was hugely disappointing with big chunks of unripe avocado in there. My kids' shrimp quesadilla was average. The crab "pizzadilla" was ok, though a little greasy. The teenager who was our waitress was fine but a little clueless - this is easy to overlook at a casual place like this if the food is good. Unfortunately, it was pretty hit and miss. read more

Great little place to have lunch looking over the water. The crab pizzadilla was delicious and I had plenty of leftovers.
