Never going back again. Waited for food 55 minutes with two young kids. When I asked about food at 40 minutes waitress told me that was just the way it had been all day. Nothing she could do about it. Then she proceeded to stop serving us - not even bringing us water when asked. Since 3 other tables got served after us when we arrived before them I'm pretty sure she forgot our order. Manager did come up later and offer to comp our drinks and said our food would be there in 5 minutes but it took another 10-15 minutes. read more

We so much wanted to give a better review, because it's locally owned and close by. The location and patio are good. But honestly, the food was just ok, and beer list was really disappointing. And in covid times, the bathroom was a mess (and I know the owner was present). Please raise the bar as I really want to come back, and bring friends! read more

Wasn't all that impressed. Hated the atmosphere, my female waitress was catty and not all that good& the staff seemed like the group of preppy kids in HS that you hated. My Caesar salad was drenched, & I mean drenched in dressing... rendering it inedible. read more

Good beer, food was great. Worked with our special food needs. Open pretty late and kids are welcome late as well. It's really neat that it's in the train station. Jump in for lunch or dinner you won't be sorry. Lots of parking as well. read more

My family and I stopped in to have dinner and check out the place. We were there when a birthday party was occurring in the bar which is connected to the seating area. It was rather loud and hard to hear our own conversation. The food was good and my kids liked the fact that they could step out on the back patio and see a train go by. We already loved the Coasters McLoughlin location, so we had to try this new Coasters Crossing location right away. We love the food (the steak frites are delish!), the service, the employees & the overall atmosphere. Oregon City absolutely needed this establishment as honestly NOTHING in this town compares when it comes to finding a comfortable restaurant, family friendly, with great food and the real key...CONSISTENCY which seems so hard to find in the restaurant industry! Brian & his crew absolutely knocked it out of the park with Coasters & Coasters Crossing - thank you for finally giving OC a great go to restaurant. Went at dinner time on Christmas eve so not many customers but they and the staff were in a good fun mood. Great service from our waiter who knew everything about the food and what they offer and even told us about their other location. I had a blue cheese burger that tasted great. My wife had a reuben and sister had fish and chips and both said it was all good. Surprised there was no dark beer on tap. Waiter had an entertaining personality and was constantly making sure we were taken care of. Will definitely be going back to try other things on the menu. read more

Our second time at Coasters Crossing. Love this place! Good casual food (love the fried shrimp basket and chicken tacos); servers are welcoming, competent and efficient; fun atmo with a train theme (it's located at the little Oregon City Amtrak station); sound levels that make it easy to carry on a conversation; cosy, comfy booths; plenty of free parking. Highly recommended. We're very happy to have found this sweet little gem. read more

Best food I've had in a really long time!! We had the roast chicken and the blackened salmon! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the prices are beyond reasonable - will be repeat customer :) and practically licked my plate, no pics - maybe next time :). First time visit... didn't make the weekend brunch on time, but we'll be back for that. It's a nice little place with its own parking on the train tracks in OC. Menu had so much to choose from! We ordered the cheese curds to start and my 8 year old demolished it! Not sure he took a breath or chewed... but guess he liked it. (It was good... crispy on outside nice and chewy oozy inside... got a couple of pieces). Finally settled on the mahi-mahi fish burger.., outstanding! Fresh, not too doughy, good slaw crunch with crispy tomatoes and light pickles and not over drizzled with sauce/tartar to hide the taste. The chowder might have come from Tony's nearby but that's ok... cuz it's good. Will definite back to try their chicken strips (supposedly one of the best locally), multiple melts, prime rib, rock fish fish n chips, steak frites, and of course... the brunch. Oh and they must pay attention to customers because the server kept apologizing for delay and thanking us for patience, but honestly, the service wasn't delayed or slow at all! It was fine. Great location with really interesting history and surroundings. That said, the food did not rise to the occasion for me. Had the namesake coaster burger, and, I don't know where to begin. The patty itself was like trying to chew a hockey puck. Way over cooked and obviously way overworked into a rubbery tasteless mass of meat. Almost looked like it had been boiled rather than fried as it was a sad grey color with no sear on it at all. But the worst was the sauce - it was I think some kind of vinegar based wing sauce or something. Very oily and thin, but the overwhelming flavor that came through front and center with every bite was that of vinegar. It was sour. The rest of the party, a lackluster shrimp cocktail come ceviche on the happy hour menu was - just pedestrian at best. An order of can find them anywhere "Hawaiian" buffalo wings came off far too salty and more teriyaki than Hawaiian. Wasn't enough to win another trip back to this delightful spot. read more

Been here twice, sat inside once and outside the next time. Inside is ok, the historic aspect they seem so proud of amounts to a couple pieces of old scales at the door entrance. Sure, its the old train station, but it might as well not be, the train rarely comes by and didn't either time I was there. There is a small casino in one corner inside that is LOUD and I had to move to sit near the bar which was loud as well but not as bad What is it with Oregon, can there not be a restaurant without a bar inside. The second time I sat outside, its pleasant, its set far back from Washington street and you don't hear the highway since its on the other side of the building. The waiter was so-so, seemed to be a young guy with little to no training. Very nervous. The burger I had the second time was drowning in grease, it was a mess adn I had to get more napkins myself. There were a group of christian ladies praying at the next table, they prayed for good things to happen to them, then they drank beers. Typical. read more

Decent food, some of which is a bit unorthdox such as a 'Brewben'. Don't expect it to be like a traditional Reuben. Last trip there, the Mahi-Mahi Fish Burger was ordered to go, and it's quite good. Problem was, they forgot the tartar sauce, which is listed on the menu. How do you forget that? They tie the bag together tightly so nothing will fall out, but you also can't check the order accuracy. Next time, I will cut it open, check the order entirely, ask for a new bag and of course, get the stink eye from an insulted server. Well, I guess it's better than getting home and finding a main ingredient missing. Yes, I really love tartar sauce on my fish! Lot's of it! read more

Saturday evening happy hour was packed with like minded folk so space was at a premium by 5 pm but regardless the five dollar margarita was quite nice and sliders, chowder and my husbands coaster burger were all served without delay and were also as expected. Fun spot located in the historic Oregon City train depot. The menu is a bit limited until kitchen construction is complete, but nice variety. Everything we have tried has been very well prepared. Seared Ahi. Fish Tacos, Burger and Shrimp Louie all get a thumbs up. Ample free parking which is rare in downtown OC. The best part about this place is the friendly and inviting staff. Good food - I had their version of a Reuben, garlic fries and shared an order of onion rings which were really good. Nice wait staff - Jesse was very personable and attentive. Comfortable seating - slightly raised, padded booths. Plenty of parking. The only detractor were the drinks...not good. I had a "liquid shredder" which tasted like a cross between cough syrup and NyQuil - maybe it's supposed to taste like that, I've never had one; my sister-in-law had a Bloody Mary that she said wasn't very good. Both drinks were on the happy hour menu so they were only $5 which is a really good price. We will definitely go back - there are several other things I want to try! - but I just may not order an alcoholic beverage. read more

My daughter and I were pleased to find this new gem of a pub! The menu had reasonable and tasty options as well as excellent Oregon beers and wines. We settled on wings (great selection!), Shrimp Louie, and fish and chips. All the food was excellent and service couldn't have been better.
