We joined friends here on a Friday night at 5:00. (9-28-18) I'd call that prime time. The place was packed. They were staffed up for it, and it showed at every step. Our server, Jesse, was ON the whole time. From the initial contact, to drink orders and delivery, to food orders and delivery, to checking back on drinks, to the final tab. All spot on. They had plenty of staff to service all the tables for water, dish removal etc.. I had the Ranch Melt and a Buoy beer (I had to have 2) Dee-licous! Chardee our server gave us window seats and offered menus and beverages right-a-way. Coasters has a nice array of beers for your choice. We had the Blue-cheese-bacon burger, and it was very good. The cold slaw, although homemade, was just cabbage with no dressing. The French-fries are a battered-type and tasty. Looks like the menu offers many dishes and worthwhile to try several. For our first visit we ate outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Service was great and helpful. We had the wings with the sweet and spicy sauce - it was delicious. For our meal we ordered the bbq chicken and brisket sandwich (brisket had GREAT smoke flavor, chicken was tender, but maybe a little bland) and the carnitas tacos with oinion rings as the side (LOVED the tacos!). We came out for lunch hoping to find hard cider on tap and some good grub. There was no cider on tap, but a couple varieties in cans/bottles. I got margarita and a shrimp Louie salad, both were really good! My hubs had a cheeseburger; he said it was just ok but he devoured the fries, which he usually ignores. I think this place will keep getting better, and the prices are far lower than other places nearby like McMenamins or Renee's. Check them out! The staff are super friendly and there's lots of parking compared to Main Street. read more

Devin was our courteous server, and he represents this recently-opened restaurant very well. Thirteen days into this location's "Soft Opening," our party of six arrived for Sunday dinner. The initial menu, while not indicative of what will be offered eventually, has a number of yummy starters, several excellent salads, and delicious takes on traditional sandwiches. Our selections included the hot artichoke-spinach dip, Caesar Salad, Shrimp Louie, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Turkey Wrap, nd Pulled Pork Sliders. On tap are local craft brews, including a much-in-demand IPA from Oregon City. Big screen TVs hang on every wall inside, and there are comfortable seating areas outside on a big patio. Just off the 205 across from the End of the Trail historical interpretation center, Coasters Crossing will become an enjoyable rendezvous from friends and family. I am holding this at a four star at the moment as the full menu has not been released. The food and service quality appears to match the McLoughlin location, nothing to report here. However, this location has a couple of unique opportunities and challenges. During the Oregon City concerts in the park across the street you can sit outside and hear the concert in clarity while dining and having a beverage. However, since it is an Amtrak station parking in the lot is free, so if you do not arrive by 5pm you are out of luck parking wise. Advice for wheelchair users: This city/Amtrak owned or managed facility has just two handicapped parking spaces, with only one usable by van. You may encounter, as I have, people using these spots to watch and wait until the individual whom the pass is for boards the train. This will force you into that position where you have to take two spaces or park in a questionably legal form. Again, this is NOT the proprietors fault. Either the city or Amtrak have avoided the ADA laws for almost three decades. read more

This was a great pub style lunch spot, we enjoyed the train station ambiance and the food, but what really set it apart was the unbelievably friendly staff. Our server was so nice and helpful and everyone we crossed paths with greeted us and looked genuinely happy. In their defense, the place was really crowded and all the employees were new and very busy. The Coasters in Milwaukie was not cooking hot food due to the extreme heat. First time to this restaurant really loud whenever walking in so took a table in the back. Drinks came fast and was told by the waiter he would be back to give highlights on the menu as we had not been there before. Almost 20min later we had to get up to find our waiter. So highlights everything on the menu is good but a couple things. My husband had ranchers melt looked like land olakes lunch meat on large hot dog bun meat cheese nothing else. Would sever to little kid. My soup was lukewarm had to send it back. Server was calling us my friend every time odd. Probably won't be going back. read more

Wonderful casual dinning experience with great food and a nice selection of local and regional beers on tap. The restaurant was set up to be COVID compliant while maintaining a great atmosphere. We had the Mahi-mahi fish and chips and the fried oysters. Both dishes were well prepared and generous portions. The customer service was the cherry on top of a great night out. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! I stopped into this place to get quick bite to eat. Burger and fires would be ok. Had my wife with and and salad for her. Took 33minutes to get food and order was backwards and partial another person was eating order with our. Actual another person already started eating my wife's salad. Regardless despite my wife being upset we were assured new order would be our soon, it was and 44minutes later we got our food, eat, zero tip and left. So we decided to give Heidi (waitress) and Coasters a second chance. Same slow service and stories from Heidi why nothing ever working correct there. I explained to the employee that the issues at Coasters staffing have nothing to do with us. We left and will NEVER return. We will never return and recommend all avoid this place to eat! read more

What a great addition to Oregon City! I was traveling home from a 2 week trip, and decided to have dinner at Coasters Crossing since it was so convenient to the train, and there wasn't any food to be had at home. The staff is very friendly, and efficient. The prices are also very reasonable. The food is tasty, and a great value for the price. Our group of 4 tried the Cuban sandwich (delicious!), pork tacos, fish & chips and a burger. Everything was flavorful, and fresh. Also, nice beer selection. It was a particularly warm September evening when we stopped in. There were several groups enjoying their meals outside. We'll definitely be stopping in again! read more

We tried Coasters Crossing fo the 1st time Saturday. The staff and service was top notch. I had the Breuben and it was ok would have been better if it wasn't so salty. Wife had a bacon cheeseburger and the meat had an extreme garlic and artificial smoke flavor, I tasted it and it seemed good at first but the taste got worse. My son had the chicken & brisket and it was good. We had the fried pickles and they were the best part of the meal. I have to say their deep fryers and batter are perfect. read more

Sunday June 5, 2022....One of our most disappointing experiences here. We wont be back for awhile if ever. We were a party of four seniors sitting towards the back. It was crowded so there was limited seating. It was cold and rainy outside. Three younger women took preference over us and others. They were drinking and wanted the outside door open. I closed it twice because there was a cold breeze. We kept asking our waiter. He said the ladies requested it open. On the third time, we had to wear our coats to eat. Even us guys with pants on had cold legs. Our food got cold quickly and deep fried chicken strips and fries became distasteful. There was no respect or regard for us or others. It was rude and disrepectful to us who have been regulars. We love our waiter, but we wont go back due to the lack of respect to us and other patrons simply because three drinking ladies were having hot flashes with their drinking. We reluctantly tipped our waiter because we like him...but even he could have been more respectful to us. read more

The servers weren't very friendly at all. The food was just ok, so I don't understand why there are so many great reviews. I would assume since it is cheaper. We don't plan on going back. read more

Came here tonight with my parents for an early dinner. The food quality and the portion size is great...good value for reasonable prices. Service was slow; not sure if it was our waiter or just the level of training he received. I'd suggest having condiments on each table outside. First time visit; wanted to go somewhere with outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather. 4 stars deck, 3 stars for food. Outdoor area did not disappoint. A decent but minimal beer list, but the Ancestry Porter and Hefe we had were good. We had the fried dill pickles for an app...delicious!! I had a teriyaki chicken sandwich (tots) and hubby had a buffalo chicken wrap (fries). Both were good but just your average pub fare. Prices were on par for a brew pub.
