I had a great lunch here! The French onion soup is delicious with a great cheese pull! Very tasty broth and a wonderful block of cheese on top.See picture. I ordered a patty melt with a side salad and my friend got the fried calamari. The patty melt was buttery and delicious on crispy whole wheat toast, perfectly cooked medium rare. The calamari was lightly fried and tender. Our server was really fast and efficient. We will be back!

Before the other night, I had not been to Cobble Stone in years - probably not since 2014 when Baby Yelper Jason wrote his initial review. I don't work too far from here, so when my parents called me at work asking if I wanted to join them for dinner, I jumped at the opportunity to rediscover this place. I used to frequent Cobble Stone back in the day when my brother was a student at SUNY Purchase - from what I can gather it's a hangout for the college crowd but also a spot for locals. The aesthetic is old school pub - it's really no frills with a mostly wooden interior and a casual aesthetic. The staff here usually perform all tasks - waiting, bussing, and hosting. After we were seated, we were given physical menus but I noticed QR codes on the tables as well. There were also instructions on how to connect to the in-house wifi which I was pleasantly surprised to see. I remember one of my gripes with Cobble Stone was that cell service was non-existent, but I assume they needed to install wifi so that patrons can connect and view the online menu. Speaking of the menu, they have a wide selection - classic dishes, sandwiches, salads, and apps were all present. Solid offerings - nothing too out of the ordinary but enough to make it interesting. I started with the French Onion which was tasty - big onion flavor and just the right amount of cheese on top. I was feeling a wrap, so I went with the shrimp poboy. It was quite good - lots of shrimp with lettuce, cabbage, aioli, and bacon that provided good contrast. The fries it came with were nothing outstanding but good nonetheless. Overall, I enjoyed my rediscovery of Cobble Stone. The upgraded technology, combined with the solid food offerings and causal interior makes it an ideal go-to spot in Purchase.

Both the food and service is consistent and has been going for a number of years. French onion soup is a fan favorite.

My 92…read moreyear old dad felt that the chairs were a little hard on his boney bottom, but otherwise we were all happy. We went heavy on appetizers; shishito peppers (not for the faint of heart), Pastrami egg rolls (everyone's fave), Crispy artichokes and Hummus (awesome pita! Mom's favorite). The Shrimp & Lobster Mac and cheese was a standout. Loved by all. Chicken Shawarma was fine. Pot of Mussels was very good (not the "moules" you'd find in Brussels, but they stand on their own merits.) Lovely evening.

The servers…read morewere friendly, the food was very good, and we weren't rushed at all which was appreciated. Ordered: Crispy artichokes ($15)- these were fried and tasty with a creamy yogurt sauce. Nothing crazy or exotic flavor wise, but enjoyable. Polenta bites ($12)- I really enjoyed these! They were a little salty, a little smoky (bacon) and a little sweet (honey). I will say that I strongly recommend Village Social either update their menu or change the toppings, as these polenta bites were topped with crispy bacon but the menu did not indicate this. Vegetarians in our group didn't realize this dish wasn't vegetarian. Chicken Milanese ($28)- the portion was very generous! It came with a large chicken breast and I requested to change the salad on top to Caesar. I appreciated their willingness to modify the order. All in all, I'd recommend checking out Village Social the next time you're looking for a dinner spot in the area.

Even in the middle of a busy event, they stayed impressively crispy. The Asian Sticky Wings were also top tier. They had a thick, glossy glaze that hit the perfect balance of sweet and savory without being overly salty. Both wings were high quality and meaty, which isn't always the case during a crowded food crawl. I'd def stop by again under a diff circumstance to see the rooftop and maybe try their brunch.

We were seated in a nice booth and service was good. We had some coffee which was standard fare - basically diner quality but drinkable. Some ice cold water. All good We ordered the eggs Benedict, some pancakes, and the lobster roll. I had the eggs and they were cooked well with a ham and high volume of hollandaise. I usually have the hollandaise on the side, but as a cardinal error, I had forgotten to ask them for that. The sauce was overpowering a little bit too sour for my liking, and as it turns out did not agree with me. Next time I will avoid that. The lobster roll was well received with no mayonnaise, which was great. And the pancakes were also good.

Recently stopped by to try their Sweet Truffalo and Tajín Tamarindo wings for a wing walk…read more The Sweet Truffalo was interesting...kind of a sweet buffalo vibe with that truffle twist. It's different in a good way, but I was expecting a bit more heat and punch. Still tasty, just on the milder side. The Tajín Tamarindo wings were probably the more fun one...sweet, tangy, and that chili lime type kick. Good idea flavor wise. Last year I also tried their Pineapple Sweet Chili wings and Jalapeño Cilantro wings. Pineapple Sweet Chili was a mix of sweet pineapple flavor with a mild chili sauce. More sweet than spicy, kind of sticky and tropical. Jalapeño Cilantro was a fresher, herb forward flavor with jalapeño heat and cilantro brightness. Not super heavy or saucy, more of a lighter, zesty wing. Overall, Hudson Grille is more of a vibe spot than a dedicated wing destination. The flavors are creative and fun to try, especially if you like sweet or fusion style wings, but consistency and boldness can vary.
