One of my favorite spots. This is the BEST brunch spot in town. Best burger, best salads...LOVE this spot!

We visited the Friday after Thanksgiving and arrived early, around 4:30. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was quiet, and we were greeted warmly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is charming, and our server, Ellen, was absolutely wonderful--attentive, friendly, and truly a bright spot in our evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed the spicy shrimp appetizer and the fresh wedge salad, and my husband's short rib pasta dish was fine, he liked it. My ribeye entrée, unfortunately, had a few issues. The twice-baked potato was delicious but on the smaller side amounting to just a few bites. The broccoli was barely warm and over-seasoned. As for the ribeye, I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived closer to rare, was very hard to cut, quite chewy, and heavily seasoned. For the price, the quality of the meat didn't seem to match the cost. After the first bite, I stopped eating it entirely. When Ellen came back to check on the steak, she was so kind and attentive that I didn't want to be negative. I told her it was fine, even though I hadn't eaten more than that one bite. Later, I asked for a box and put my barely eaten steak in it, pretending I was full. In hindsight, I should have spoken up and given the kitchen a chance to remake the steak, but I didn't want Ellen to feel responsible for something out of her control. I quietly paid the full bill and made sure to tip Ellen well--she genuinely deserved it. I truly understand how much effort goes into running a restaurant, and this may have simply been an off night for my entrée. There is still a lot to appreciate here, especially the service and atmosphere--and I would be willing to give it another try. read more

My husband enjoyed his perch and waffles. My son said the ribs were good. My other son said his fish sandwich was excellent. Unfortunately the Chilean sea bass and risotto was unseasoned, lacked any flavor, and was $47. I asked for salt, but that couldn't salvage the dish with no seasoning and the paste-like risotto. I suggest going to cobblestone for a drink or an appetizer like the spicy shrimp, but not upscale entries. read more

I am a local gal, so maybe I am biased, but patio dining at this place just can't be topped!! Went last night with a dear friend. The bartender consistently makes the best dirty martini ever! They hand stuff these big fat juicy olives with the yummiest blue cheese! HAND STUFF!!! And sooo smooth! Not too briny, just right! The ambiance, gas fed copper lanterns, cobblestone under foot, and abundant flowers all add to the charming European feel. Delicious meal- I had the short rib which was fall apart tender. It's a consistent dish. Super decadent sauce! The acoustic guitarist transported you somewhere beachy with his barefoot strumming. (Singer Bret Wiscons for the win! Pro tip, he plays here most Wednesdays in the summer!) Also, they serve My Sugar Pie on their dessert menu- baked in the adorable little pie shop across the street! What a gem! I met a colleague for lunch at Cobblestone and was absolutely blown away. Cobblestone just gets it. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the wait staff is spot on. I found this Zionsville on Yelp (yay Yelpers!), and the reviews were spot on. The restaurant is nestled snugly on Main Street in Zionsville, and could easily be nicknamed the Tardis - it's "Bigger on the inside." The unassuming decor is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner, and makes guests feel comfortable right away. The real star of this show is the patio. If you can get outdoor seating, you absolutely must. Our intimate table was right next to a garden wal, and we even had a visit from a local chipmunk! The food at Cobblestone is just as good as it looks in the photos. Everything is fresh, well seasoned, and beautifully presented. The smoked salmon board is divine! I didn't try a single thing I didn't love and I can't wait to return for more yumminess! read more

Today we went to cobblestone Zionsville completely different ambiance than expected reflecting menu prices more of a rustic bar look than fancy upscale ! I did appreciate the beautiful patio area . I ordered the blood orange margaritas which was just ok too sour for my liking with no blood orange taste . I also ordered fried shrimp appitzer which was good but no spice, Mediterranean pizza was good , truffle fries had no truffle oil on them but some sort of seasoning ,I got the stuffed chicken creole and it was spot on with stuffing to seasoned and we got the friend fish on a waffle but absolutely bland overall I would give it just an ok but I enjoyed the service and ambiance . So good!!! My husband and I had a Saturday lunch here today and it really was outstanding. We started with the house made creamy tomato soup. The bowl was a good size - we shared and it was delicious. I ordered the beet salad and I added chicken. My husband the short rib sandwich with house chips and we shared a side of brussel sprouts. The short rib sandwich was melt in your mouth delish. Literally. It is smoked in house and I would go back here for this dish alone. House made chips are usually pretty good but these were so thin and every single chip was so crispy. So good. The Brussels sprouts were crazy good. My husband was so pleasantly surprised with how much he liked them. Now I am a lover of beets and this salad did not disappoint and the added chicken was grilled really nicely. Loved it. It's hard not to fall in love with Cobblestone. This restaurant is truly one of my favorite to visit in Zionsville. The staff is always friendly and professional. The space is beautiful, whether your with family for a weekend brunch (which I highly recommend), grabbing a seat at the bar, or unwinding with a glass of wine on their charming patio. During my most recent visit (Sunday Brunch) I ordered their Short Rib Breakfast Chimichanga and it was SENSATIONAL. We had a truly exceptional experience today at Cobblestone. Starting from making a reservation for 10 and having to change it various times until we were up to about 20 people, Cobblestone was so accommodating. We came in for a Galentine's brunch and everything was set up and ready to go. We had dietary restrictions that were accommodated flawlessly and my food was excellent. Even though we were a party of 19, Blake did an amazing job serving us with an awesome attitude and superior knowledge of the menu. We joined some long time friends for dinner last night at the Cobblestone in Zionsville. We dined outdoors in their courtyard which gave a New Orleans feel to our evening. Our waitress Jennifer was excellent - she was quick to provide suggestions for wine and dinner options. I chose the braised short ribs served with parmesan mushroom risotto and onion straws. My wife opted for the shrimp & grits which was actually a feta spinach grit cake, shrimp, Tasso ham, a vegetable medley covered in a Cajun cream sauce. Scallops Cobblestone Grill is a gem in Zionsville. Nice vibrant neighborhood restaurant with a fresh flare. Host was amazing and the server was great as well. We sat outside and enjoyed the live music. I had the scallops and risotto dish. Scallops were amazing. Love the flavors. I wasn't big on the brussel sprouts. I prefer the brussel sprouts crispy and sweet. Also I think the mushrooms over powered the risotto. We also had a lovely banana bread bread pudding which was delicious. Service and ambiance 10. Had a wonderful dinner at Cobblestone. Enjoyed a livingly Friday night dinner out with family- had some incredible live music in the background. All the food was great, over half our party ordered the 8oz filet. However, there was some discrepancies between the filets and how they were cooked. Thankfully the service was great to adjust the temperature. We just had brunch inside where the food continues to be great, the service is friendly and attentive and there was no wait for a table! Don't get me wrong it's steady with people at tables but it's not lines out the door with a one hour wait. We walked in, were seated at a cute table with a view out to the street. There were so many good choices I had a hard time deciding, but I had a taste for biscuits and Michael (our waiter today) recommended them so I ordered the biscuits plus supplements with a side of sausage so that I'd get some protein too. Oh wow! I don't know if you can tell from my photo but they are huge! And seriously, the best biscuits I've had, definitely in a very long time and maybe ever! I'm a big biscuit fan and I've had a lot of southern biscuits, all very good but these were seriously, wow! The apple butter is made in house, the strawberry jam is made in house, it's all so good! But the biscuits, they had a nice outer crust but they were light and fluffy on the inside. They could hold up to the butter and jam but they melted in my mouth! And they were warm, great flavor and just so good! Hubby ordered the farm breakfast and got a side of gravy so I also get to tell you that the biscuits and gravy is top notch! The gravy had great flavor and nice pieces of sausage (local farm sausage). I will look forward to going back another weekend for brunch and I highly recommend it! read more

Update: on my original review I said this would be a "special occasion" spot but me and my husband come here often. We love to sit at the bar on enjoy dinner and drinks. The vibe is great and we enjoy the bartenders. Service is almost always on point. I love that their menu has so many rotating options. We love coming here on a weeknight when I don't feel like cooking. The food is always good and drink options are plentiful. Highly recommend! We just moved to the village and Cobblestone is within walking distance to our house which is great! The ambience was warm and somewhat nicer than some of the other restaurants on Main Street. I loved that they have live music. I also love that you can make reservations on Open Table. I started off with the strawberry rosé to drink. It was okay. Probably won't get it again. My husband and I both got the mushroom bisque with chunks of bacon. I loved it! I opted for the sweet and spicy seafood pasta as my main dish and I enjoyed it. It had 5-6 pieces of large shrimp and a white fish on top. I would've liked it to be a little spicier though. My husband got the Cobblestone burger and added bacon and guacamole. He ate it all before I could try it if that tells you how much he liked it, ha! Our server was nice enough. We tried talking to her about how we had just moved and how nice it was that we could just walk home. She blankly stared at us and walked away. Sure a cute vibe! I forgot how adorable downtown zionsville is. I haven't been since pre Covid and so much has changed and definitely makes me want to explore more! We got to sit outside in the cute little cobblestone alleyway. Thankfully we went on a Wednesday and the Pinot Grigio was only $7.50 and they were great pours. Highly recommend going in a Wednesday if you like a good wine deal! I ordered the strawberry salad with blackened chicken and a side of the truffle fries with Basil aioli. Definitely a well balanced meal if you ask me! The salad was huge and the chicken was delicious. It did have a bit of a kick to it but that's what you can expect from blackened chicken. To me the fries didn't taste super "truffle-y" but they were still good and especially dipping in the aioli. A lot of good things on the menu I'd like to come back and try! read more

This was not a meatloaf I could eat...seemed undercooked and presentation was horrible! Looked like a huge thick brick and what was described as mushroom cream sauce was brown mushy sauce with no flavor. Undercooked ..just bad! Best Meatloaf in town...so far...Oakley and The Fountains. I returned one of their special cocktails...came in a tall iced tea glass. Obviously too much soda. Have to question the mixologist. I've been to Cobblestone for dinner before, but we recently tried it for Sunday brunch. Don't skip the plate of biscuits -- 4 large biscuits with butter, preserves and something else I can't recall. There were plenty left to take home. I ordered the Mediterranean omlette, which also was big enough to take extra home, and my husband had a Sicilian sandwich and fries. It was a random Tuesday and I made a reservation but it didn't seem like I would need one. My family and I have been here a couple of times and we have never been disappointed! The atmosphere, the drinks, the food and the deserts are all amazing! We had a reservation for outside on Saturday Feb 27 for 8:15 and we were seated promptly! They have outdoor heaters and for as late as it was, the heaters kept us all pretty warm. Our server was great and kept our drinks full and could suggest great menu items! We started with drinks and the Spicy Shrimp. This is what I would classify as "pow pow shrimp" on an avocado mousse and it was absolutely amazing! The spice from the shrimp paired great with the avocado mousse - this is a must a try! I then got the Wedge Salad, this was probably the best wedge I have ever had, it was also a great size for the price. For the main part of my meal I ordered the Risotto - this was a great decision. The braised short rib was cooked to perfection and it literally fell apart in your mouth! It was not dry at all and the risotto paired perfectly with it. The deserts were all AMAZING. You must try them all! We went with three and couldn't finish them, but were glad we tried all of them. We ordered the Banana Bread Pudding, Triple Layer Chocolate Cake and the Churros. The Cobblestone is one of those dark swanky restaurants with a great bar. We popped in Friday night for a nightcap, and had a fabulous time. We have been to Cobblestone numerous times and have always been pleased with food and ambiance. On the spur of the moment (Wednesday) we decided to go to restaurant for dinner and enjoy outside dining. We did not make reservation since it was mid week. We arrived around 6pm. After waiting a few minutes a 30ish man with curly hair and beard came to podium. We politely asked if anything was available outside. He asked if we had reservation and we said no. He proceeded to give us an eye roll and of course you don't attitude and said he could seat us at bar. A sorry, nothings available would have sufficed and we would have went on our way. Needless to say we left and we're pleased to find seating and food about a block down at different restaurant. This is not the first time the person working podium has acted like their doing you a favor by giving you a table. Unfortunately, we will think twice before trying to eat at the restaurant again. read more
