All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I've been here twice and each time leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Adriana was our server last time and did an amazing job. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

I went with my husband here and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We were hungry and got a lot…read moreof food. To share we got the crunchy rice tuna and the blossom roll with a mix of the fish options (like a rainbow roll). The crunchy rice tuna has such a nice combination of textures with a little crunch from the rice and creaminess from the avocado and fish. The roll was delicious. Fresh fish, the rice in the roll was just as it should be-not too mushy (a problem I find with a lot of sushi places I've tried in Oklahoma) or too firm. For myself I got the sashimi tasting which was an absolutely delicious assortment of seafood. All of the pieces were well seasoned and tasted fresh. My husband got the fried chicken and sukiyaki. He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes, most definitely. I will say though that if you don't care for seafood there are options for you, but you likely won't appreciate this place nearly as much as someone who does.

The service and food were…read moremediocre after talking to some other friends who experienced the weekend lunch buffet also. One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.

Tomyam is genuinely one of the best I've had since I moved to OK . It's sour and spicy in all the best ways, just like we make it back home in SE Asia! Most places don't make it quite right, not sour enough or just not flavorful in general but Banana Thai aced it. Hubby loved the green curry too and said it was really good as well. So far we are super happy with the place and we will definitely be back!

I and everyone else dining while I was here had to get up and get the server for assistance of any kind. One of the two kept running outside every 5-10 minutes to smoke right in front of the entrance. The food is bland and way over priced. They used to have a lovely lunch special with appropriate portions and price. Not the case now. No spice or flavor to the food or sauces. Proteins were way overcooked. When I did finally get my bill, the server asked me for the PIN to my debit card! No. That's not how this works. Also, I hesitate to mention this, but a roach was running between tables as I was leaving. There are way too many options for delicious Thai food in OKC to visit this spot again.

Even though our server said the dishes were meant for sharing. One of the big drawbacks was the lack of clarity around spice levels. The menu didn't indicate if the dishes would be spicy, so I was in a bit of a surprise when I ate my steak tacos. For the elotes, they were very tangy and were very overpriced for what it is. We were ordering that to go with the tacos since they don't come with a side. And the elotes came out before for our tacos which we waited for because we didn't want to eat it on its own. So it was frustrating. We did enjoy the karaage-crispy and flavorful. The aioli was on the tangy side though. Cocktails were probably the highlight of the meal. Reasonably priced, generous portion compared to the food. Overall, while I appreciate the effort to bring some bold flavors to the table, I don't think we will be returning. It's definitely not worth the price.

Sometimes the service at new restaurants is challenging but not here. We received fantastic service from the moment we were greeted at the door. The menu is littered with unfamiliar terms and ingredients that you may want to Google beforehand. My husband and I did this before our visit and really had fun learning new names and techniques. It made our visit even better and we were very excited to try new dishes. We were a foursome and treated the menu more like a tapas, sharing bites among friends. This allowed us the opportunity to sample many more dishes than usual. We started with a simple chips and guacamole, which was clearly fresh and made in-house. Next time we'll definitely start with the salsa trio as it sounds equally delicious. Next we ordered the White Bean Purée. The addition of the short ribs makes this a dish not to overlook. We also had the Karaage which is a Japanese style fried chicken. It's not something I'd imagine seeing on a Latin restaurant menu but boy am I glad it is. You can't go wrong with it. You order sides for the table so we chose Elote (Mexican style corn) and Papas Verde (potatoes with verde sauce), as well as a Romaine salad. I didn't get a picture of the salad until it had been dished out so my apologies for the incomplete photo. My husband and I ordered tacos, the Suadero (brisket) for me and the Skirt Steak for him. Both were loaded with flavor but not spicy hot if that's your concern. Our friends ordered the Smoked Half Chicken to share between them. I had a taste and it was terrific, juicy and flavorful. In spite of the mountain of food we'd enjoyed, we couldn't resist dessert, two of them actually. The Banana Bread came with a peanut butter mousse and these delicious cookie and coconut crumbles. The bread was moist and delicious but that mousse was simply fantastic. I've never had anything like it and would buy it by the jar if I could. The Concha is another delightfully unique dish. They take strawberry ice cream, coat it with cornflakes and deep fry it. It turns out looking like a fried chicken breast. They use a Mexican style sweet bread for the buns and deliver it with a knife stuck into the "sandwich" as you'd expect with the real thing. I couldn't try it due to a food allergy but my three tablemates devoured it in short order. If you have a sweet tooth Vecina has the answer for that. I'm very impressed with the food and the wonderful service. It's a fun place and we can't wait to go back soon.
