Spent our lunch here for mother's day and it was an ok experience. Giving it a 4 stars only because the servers were nice otherwise it would have been a 3. The server was nice and awesome and went far and beyond for us and even made a sauce for us to try. The food was definitely ok. I love that there's a condiments table that had ample ingredients to help make your sauce more personalized. The spread of ingredients was really nice as well. The tables are nice and clean and I personally like how the stove is set up and feel safe for me to use especially with a baby. My only qualm is, some parts of the buffet area are not as pristine clean (why I would have rated this a 3*. It was my first time trying a traditional Taiwanese hotpot, and it was a bit overwhelming at first, with so many ingredients to pick from, but it was fun! I played it safe with the signature broth (pretty basic), but next time, I'll definitely go for the Taiwanese hot and spicy--so savory and flavorful--and it wasn't that spicy. One surprise highlight? The Italian marinara! I know it sounds odd, but it was surprisingly delicious. Seafood, meat, and veggie bar were fresh and well-stocked. First time trying hot pot. It's really good! One server but she was very kind and attentive and while I have never tried this before I was very pleased. After a little trial and error I found the sauce I liked best for each food. The seafood was fresh and still very cold or near frozen. So I was confident in the food. I read some reviews about the selection of meats and since I haven't had it before I don't know about that. But for me, I was very full and the meats were truly awesome tasting to me. This place is alright. Service needs improvement. Theres one server for the whole floor. Received our broth and then our drinks 15 minutes later after we asked for them again. Server was friendly but not attentive and it wasn't busy at all. Theres a variety of items to choose from but somewhat feels like poor quality items? Kept hearing about this new location on Northwest Expressway that opened up earlier today year. We are used to going to Hot pot heroes in Asian district. This location is perfect because it's an all you can eat buffet. The only issue I found is only one entry into the location to park. The price was fair and the selection was vast. I tried out new broths and really enjoyed it. The lemongrass coconut milk #7 Tom Kha was good but needed some spices to give it a kick. The #3 Taiwanese hot pot was pretty good. Let me start by saying that I didn't have high expectations of this place after looking at the reviews but somehow this place still manage to disappoint me. The parking lot is big so no issue there. Upon entering there was no one at the front counter to seat us and it took about 2-3 minutes until a staff member came out from the back. I can see why other reviews state there is a lack of staff and need to hire more. The interior is clean with some nice background music playing. Very limited soup base to choose from but I would recommend people get some spicy soup base. I find it a bit sad that this establishment has very limited food choices and is self serve compare to other hotpot with a tablet to order food. No appetizer is offer here. Lastly, the ice cream area have containers that you can scope some but atleast 3 of the 6 container were near empty and not replace. I came with my kids on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. The service was quick and attentive. The variety of meats, vegetables, Asian varieties were amazing. I don't know if this is a franchise as I have been to a place with the same name out in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and I have to admit it was the same great quality. When we entered we were greeted by a friendly host, and I explained to her as well as a few other staff that this would be my first experience having hot pot and had no idea how it worked. They instructed me to pick a broth then go to the buffet like section to select whatever I wanted and put it in the broth and eat it. I wish there was better instructions, especially for a first time customer, because I was definitely confused and put everything in at once. I was pretty disappointed in the food until I asked a nice mother/daughter table nearby on how to partake in this style of eating. They advised me to put things in one at a time and eat as I cook it. Everything has a different cook time so needs to be monitored accordingly instead of putting it all in at once. The meats especially are very good to be cooked in the broth then dipped in the sauce. **the sauce makes a huge difference in how the food tastes!! The hospitality was amazing. This was our second time back and the owner was just as attentive as the first time! He offered us lemongrass tea the first time we came and even though it was $6, it easily became our favorite tea!! He explained the best way to drink it and poured it for us. This is an all you can eat concept of hot pot. Most of the broth is a lemongrass based broth hence the name. Adults are 32.99 and children are 14.99 from age four. I came in on a Thursday evening and no wait. I ordered the Tom yum broth and i wished it was more spicy and more sour. Personally I probably will not be getting this broth again. Once you get ur broth you can go get your various veggies and meat and make your own sauce. I like how the meat is all out there and you grab as much or as little as you want. We have been to a ton of hot pot restaurants and this one missed the mark by far. Meats are not freshly sliced...they are frozen and a little gray on the sides. There were not enough tongs at the buffet for the seafood and vegetable selections, which makes it difficult to eat here when you are pregnant or have dietary restrictions. Lemongrass Hot Pot is one of those places that everyone is talking about, but you come eat here and never come back. Then, slowly, everyone stops talking about them and people forget it's there and poof the place is gone and something else is in its place. Looking at the reviews I see there are already a mixed feeling about this. For $32.50/person and $14.99 for children four years and up, it is NOT worth your money. You have two hours all you can eat but trust me when I say after 30 minutes you're done. For starter, you enter and pick a broth flavor selection from their menu. See my photos for the menu. I chose the lemongrass signature flavor and my husband got the Tom yum one. Both were very bland. Now if you don't like the flavor of the broth you chose, feel free to pay $8 to change it up. Also if your broth gets low in the pot, they will not refill it unless you pay more. They will also charge you for food uneaten by the weight so if your vegetables has dirt on it or your seafood is old and spoiled you better hide it, eat, or pay extra for it. The AYCE hot pot concept sounds cool but it sounds too good to be true. For the price you're paying, it is better to go buy your own food and cook it at home or go to another local restaurant and pay a bit more for a hot pot selection where they have fresh meats and seafood. The food here sits out ALL DAY and I am certain they serve them again the next day. We visited on a Friday and we were the only one there for one hour. Our waitress sat us down got our order and she never came back except to give us the ticket and grabbed my card. It's funny because our drinks were empty the entire time but she didn't refill it but as soon as I placed my card down on the ticket her super vision swooped by and grabbed it and then we asked for refills (how convenient). If you don't drink water be ready to pay a pretty penny for a small cup of soda, tea, etc. with no refill unless you ask. They have a huge selection of seafood, fish balls, meat balls, meats, vegetables, and ice cream. Then they have an area of "fresh seafood" which had shrimp with the head on, one blue crab cut in half, and frog legs. My personally favorite was all of the different mushrooms they had and the giant clear glass noodles. They only have about four types of noodles. The veggies were vast but they're so dirty! They do not wash their bok choy and you can tell. Gross. Their spinach leaves were spoiled which is ridiculous because spinach leaves are not that expensive and for a hot pot place spoil spinach leaves is a no no. They have a small station where you can get spices and condiments. Try their special sauce. It's actually really good and I think it would make a really good egg roll dip (they don't have egg rolls). I'm not a chef but I think you can go to the station and get the spices and make your own broth. Just be aware if you don't like it get ready to pay $8 for new broth. Their ice cream selection is really interesting. It was all almost empty and super thick. I'm sure that ice cream has been sitting there since they first opened and it's one of those things where it's for display only, not for eating cause yuck! Overall, I would not come back here. I had a tummy ache that evening and the next day and my husband joked that I am not allowed to choose the place we eat because it gave him the runs. I had no idea until he told me that he too had a stomachache from the food. It is not easy to serve fresh meats and seafood in a AYCE setting. It's expensive and quality is very important. Take your money and go to a nice Brazilian steakhouse locally. For $100 for two I would not come back nor would I take my toddler here to pay $14.99 to eat. It's not kid friendly one bit. They will charge your child whether they eat or not starting at four years old and let me tell you, my four year old does not eat any of this. Definitely think this is the best hot pot place around OKC. Comparing to other places like Hot Pot Heroes or Muu Shabu is that it's AYCE AND there's a huge variety of food to cook with. Their meat selection consists of different cuts of beef and pork (best one is fatty beef belly). There are so many seafood options including fresh crab which I was pretty impressed about. I'm even more impressed with the amount of vegetables they serve, my favorite is the water crest. I've only had their Chinese hot broth which I love. Service was great. They were all so nice. I can't wait to go back again Biggest con is that it's all self serve and just know with these buffet types places, you'd hope they keep everything sanitary. read more

Nice new hotpot restaurant in OKC - which is welcome since there is only one other one to my knowledge (Hot Pot Heroes). I came close to closing and the manager and his son let me in and even gave me a discount - so just wanted to give them a S/O for their generous customer service promotion. Spacious and good selection of different meats and a variety of sauces as well as items to put in the soup pot such as instant ramen, fish balls, veggies, and so on. Their iced tea beverage is also very good (could have been a slightly sweetened Jasmine or green tea but again, quite good). Also, they have dessert selections of ice cream - typical of most AYCE buffets. Got the Spicy Taiwanese broth which lived up to its name. They maybe should offer combo packages similar to Hot Pot Heroes, but overall a great hotpot place to check out! read more

An ayce hotpot that i was not disappointed in. Their selection of ingredients is very abundant and fresh. Their broths are pretty good. I got their tomato broth and My husband got their spicy one. He said it could be spicier. The tomato broth had a hint of spice to it which I liked. Their broth was flavorful enough to not need a dipping sauce but they had a good selection of stuff for their sauce. I love their selection of veggies and they even have desserts of fresh fruits, ice cream and some pastries. Their service was good. They kept checking on us and refilled our drinks often. Out of all the hotpot places, I've been to before. This one is by far the worst one. From the lousy worker who wouldn't take their eyes off his phone to the hidden fees they charge. This place is horrible. All the meats had frost on them, and the seafood had an awful fishy smell. The only thing decent was the vegetables. I would be careful with going with a lot of people. There was 5 of us and they charged us over $50 in gratuity fees, and table fees. Please think twice before going to this place, you would be better off getting fast food. read more

We are always a little wary of all you can eat places because of the cleanliness aspect, but it is not a concern at Lemongrass.
