Inside is busy and bustling. The food is fantastic. The service is great but it's a long wait for anything. Every time I've been here they never have enough servers or bartenders and a lot of patrons. So expect 15-20 minutes per drink and about 45-60 minutes per food order. read more

My wife and I were just denied entry into the Hamburg location a few minutes ago from the door guy around 10:20pm. He claimed I was wearing gym shorts without belt loops. The shorts are designer and I'm wearing a nice buttoned shirt. I was dressed better than 90% of the patrons and I even noticed some wearing ACTUAL basketball shorts. The food is your typical bar food but also with other options added in. Try the cheeseballs - they are delicious! The addition of the new bar is really nice. numerous TV's, and a great place to watch a sporting event. There's a lot to like about this place. Drink prices are insanely low from 1-4...probably too low, because I doubt customers tip like I do. The food I have tried has all been solid. Now for the things that need to be improved. Music is most of the time way too loud. Also, every tv should be on a sporting event at all times. However, they always have on some MTV like channel on, which has numerous inappropriate content showing. Very stupid. Also seems like they don't have enough staff. While the food was delicious and the bar looks great the reason why I am rating this establishment generously with the one star is as follows. The under staffing, no management, and lack of personality with those working unless they seem to know you is absolutely the worst experience I have had in my entire life. My coworkers and I were wanting to stop and have a couple of drinks and eat some wings before heading home from work. We sit down at the table and waited 22 minutes before someone came over and asked us if we wanted a drink. We were handed dirty menus that were ripped tattered and torn shortly after the gentleman came back and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks and checked out the paper stained torn menus. (We weren't even given enough for everyone at the table) Got our first drink, And the gentleman never asked us if we were ready to order we drink our drinks. Waited for about 10 minutes after our drinks were finished. And he finally came back and asked if we wanted another. (We were ready to order when he brought our drinks to us the first time, but he didn't have time.) So when he finally came back to ask, if we wanted a second, we said we wanted to order we ordered our food. It came to the table. It was dropped off and we were still ready for a third drink, but no one asked And they hurried away. We ate our food with nothing to drink. We were ready to go and 45 minutes later after finishing our food and no one came back to see if we were done clean the table and see if we wanted another drink. I stood up and went to the bar so we could get our tabs we all needed to go home, I stood at the bar and the two people working refused to acknowledge me Even whenever I spoke up saying I need help several times for 13 minutes. We watched a staff members went to the four tables surrounding ours and the bar and would check on everyone around us, but not us. I am from a tourist town where bars are what pays most of the people salary. Myself have been a bartender and a waitress. I know that $2.13 an hour is the standard. I normally tip 20% even when it's poor service. My average tips are 35 to 40%. For the first time in my adult life, I was willing to walk out on a tab. In fact, me and all my coworkers had about an hour to discuss whether or not we were going to walk out. We all work in a business that is 100% commission so we understand. I finally spoke to a regular patron who got the bouncer and then got a bartender and instead of asking us how the check was split, they divided up evenly between us. This is not how we intended to pay. We didn't have time to sit there and try to figure out who owes what who's paying for what we've already been there over an hour past the time that we needed to be. So I gathered everyone's checks took cash out of my wallet and handed it to the girl. Informed her that I needed my change immediately I didn't have any more time to wait. I told my coworkers I was paying the tab. It was up to them to leave a tip I do not feel like I got $2.13 worth of service . Feeling a little guilty about that the next day, I decided to call the bar and speak to the manager and find out who was working that day and swing by and bring them some cash. However, When when I called the bartender answered and informed me there was no manager on duty and she was super busy and the only one there and didn't have time to be on the phone. I'm not blaming the weight staff. This is clearly poor management and ownership. Where I'm from This bar, what with this management And this type of service wouldn't make it six months. I feel sorry for the locals who have the patron that establishment. It doesn't matter how good the food how nice the build the building Management and service is ahead of the Food and beverage industry and this place is trash. Cocktails is a small little local type bar filled with people Of all ages and types. They have karaoke sometimes and can make a pretty good mixed drink I've heard. We were specifically looking for a dive, not a corporate chain. Everyone told us to go to Cocktails. A clean, well-lit bar that seemed to attract a good crowd. The bartenders were very attentive; I think when seeking out a local watering hole, it takes a couple visits to really get a sense of the place. We'll be back, but so far so good. read more

I had never heard of this place before and stopped by during burger week because they had a burger that looked delicious on the menu. I am so glad they did! It was a fantastic burger. It came right off the grill and was one of our top burgers for that week (we also enjoy spicy and it was). This places looks and feels like a local hang out spot where a lot of regulars like to come. They waitress staff is very friendly and make you feel very welcome. They have a full bar and prices are very reasonable (however I do not recommend getting the chips and salsa for an appetizer. They are just so-so) This place is also great for watching sporting events. They have 3 to 4 TVs on each wall and it overall has a great atmosphere feeling. There is outdoor seating for nice evenings and while it seems like a popular spot to those who live around there it is not overly crowded. This is like a hidden little hole in the wall bar in a strip mall at the end of Liberty and Todds. They sell good/cheap food and drinks. Alot of the people that come here are very local. I have drank here quite a few times. The place is low lit. There are darts in the back if you wish to play. The waitresses are super friendly and helpful. To my surprise this was a happening little spot hidden in a store front area near a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Chinese food place. I went there to meet a friend so here are the things that I really liked. The drink prices were reasonable and they have a full bar. After a few hours of enjoying beers and food. My bill barely broke $20 bucks. I really liked that. They serve food and I really loved the little burgers with beer cheese. They have a jukebox that I had a really hard time stumping, my friend even found Mexican music he loves. There's always a nice crowd in there. Regulars and visitors in a mix of various ages. And the servers were very nice and worked super hard to keep the drinks coming as the crowd grew. This would be a nice spot to become a regular. The only downside was the parking. The lot is so small. But the fact it's often full is a good sign that people love going there. read more

Cocktails is Lexington's version of Cheers, a bar filled with regulars, where your drink is waiting on the bar in the time it takes you to walk up from the front door. There's a very close knit relationship between the staff and the regulars, most of whom have been working here for years and years. The owner has installed some significant upgrades to the A/V setup since taking over, making it a great place to watch sports. There's a full menu, which is actually quite good for "bar food." It also has some of the strongest, cheapest drinks in town. If you're used to a Jack and Coke being a 50/50 mix or less, you might be in for a surprise. Mixers are splashed in as an afterthought, so order accordingly. There's live music every Friday night, and as is fitting for a bar filled with regulars, it's been the same band for years. Tuesday nights feature karaoke, which often draws a huge crowd. Late at night, it tends to fill up with service industry folk from Hamburg, so if you leave another bar and head here, you might just end up bumping elbows with your bartender that just got off work. read more

Love this place! It has the perfect neighborhood bar feel. I have been a semi-frequent visitor for several years now, and the service is always outstanding. Their drink prices can't be beat, and the bartenders are one of a kind. They are always friendly and are quick to fix a drink if it's not fitting your standards. For a bar (as opposed to restaurant and bar), their food is surprisingly good. They have some of the best quesadillas in town and their pizza is delicious. Cocktails has darts, games and plenty of TVs to make sure you can watch what you want. The band that plays every Friday isn't the best, but their song choices encompass enough that everyone can enjoy it. Overall, Cocktails is a great place to visit, or become a regular. This place kinda sucks. I did like the tv's and the band that was playing but other than that? It was horribly unorganized with a crappy selection of booze. An overly sweet LIT was given to me and the service was nice yet really slow considering how many people they had behind the bar. No bueno. Prices were fair though. One of my favorite "hole in the wall" bars. It's a small place tucked into a shopping center behind buffalo wild wings. The bartenders/waitresses are awesome and extremely nice. They have big tvs, a great music system, darts and a few video games. It is a smaller place and it's mostly filled with locals but they are really friendly and mostly "upper class type" so it's not like they try to fight and run off the new folk! They have some of the best prices I've seen in a bar and they always make them good and strong lol. As far as the guy said you have to leave your drink inside if you go out on the patio but I've always took mine with me and never had a problem and for the lady who said it was a nice place and good drinks and so on, how do you give a place 1 star after talking good about it but say it's not for you? Do you prefer the generic typical hip hop bar? If so then you are very right cocktails isn't for you ( thankfuly) but if you are looking for a nice smaller bar with great drinks, great food and amazing service then cocktails is the place for you!! read more
