Today is Saturday, July 24, 2021 and I went to get a gel french tip manicure on Monday, July 19th. By Wednesday, 21st two of my nails had started peeling so I called to let them know. I went in on Thursday to get them repaired and just two days later, four more nails are peeling. I did not like the way they did my nails. I usually have my hands soaked to soften the cuticles, then the cuticles are cleaned up, and they start the process. They never did this. When I sat down in the chair, the lady started cutting my nails, which she cut too short. Then she sprayed my hands and started the process of doing my nails. She only put a total of three coats on my nails total, the base coat and then she did the french tip, then applied two more coats on top. I have never had this happen and for it to happen twice with them in a matter of a week is shocking. I paid $50 for the french gel manicure, gave a $5 tip, then gave another $3 tip for the repair only to have a manicure disaster. I will never go back there. I'm happy for everyone that received good service but for me, I won't be returning. read more

She is very accommodating and really takes her time to ensure I am completely satisfied before I leave the salon. This place is a complete joke; they may have a great location and space, but the services and skills were lacking. I was there for a simple pedicure(the technician rushed, there were no attention to details, she was not friendly, and the paint job was all over the place. At one point, she was not going to remover her mistake, but paint over the smudge areas.....are we kidding here or am I in twilight zone or outer space). DO NOT waste your time or money coming here. This place is not a spa, just a fancy over priced nail salon. No need to make an appointment because they won't keep it. Twice I called and made an appointment on my lunch break and both times I waited 20 mins past my appointment time. Manager didn't care much. The workers stare at you like you're a freak. I always have a wonderful experience here. Kim is the best!! She does amazing UV Gels!!! She can do any shape you'd like. She always recommends the best colors! She is truly the best Nail Technician. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been too. Its an overpriced factory. All they care about is rushing you out. I went with my daughter to have a mani/pedi. I picked out a color for my nails but the bottle was missing. No one seemed to care to look for it. Finally someone found the bottle after about 20 minutes of me asking. The girl who was doing my nails then proceeded to rush both my pedicure and manicure. Both came out terrible. I went to this establishment for the first time since I was close by. Will never go back again. From the minute I walked in the door I was ignored. I guess they saw I was not a regular and was treated poorly. But I proceeded to get a mani pedi . The woman who worked on me had an unpleasant face while working on me. She barely touched any of my cuticles and as the day progressed my nails were full of unruly skin coming out of my cuticles. She treated my feet during the mani as if they were fungus and I do not by any means have ugly feet. She scraped my heels so gently she might as well had not tried and her massage so super gentle and got like a 2nd! In the end I left with a smile and tipped as well as I always do, although the job did not qualify for one. the salon is very pretty but the staff does not live up to the pleasant scenery. read more

I have been driving from Larchmont to go here. I really thought that they did a nice job, but lately, I have spent a lot of time waiting. They will say it is a 10-15 minute wait and it is actually over 40 min. Once they put me in a chair (I was 7 months pregnant) and I sat waiting for over an hour, then they ran out of hot water and wanted to me to pay $65 for a cold pedicure. Anyway - over time, I have been more and more disappointed. But yesterday was the last time for me. I am 39 weeks pregnant and the woman doing my pedicure was literally coughing on me the entire time. Not covering her mouth, just coughing right on my feet and legs. I was going to get a manicure, but then declined as I didn't want her coughing in my face. I just felt like it was completely inconsiderate. They also also ask for my "Membership" card which Ive had for 1.5 years and prob spent close to $1500 on (I get pedicures pretty frequently). I have never ONCE actually gotten anything from my membership card. No free manicure, no discount, nothing, so not really why they push it. Anyway - this place is better than many, but I just think that I have had enough and will prob not be coming back. read more

I have come here a couple times an each experience was absolutely horrible. I always get shellac which is supposed to last for 2 weeks it doesn't...it doesn't even last 5 days. My nails were growing perfectly and the woman who did my nails filed them extremely thin. They also require you pay extra to remove gel/shellac polish. At the end of my service when it came time to pay she asked me for a tip, which is unheard of. I thought i would be able to put the tip on the charge which they don't accept. So she insisted I use the ATM in order to tip her. Overall coco nails is overpriced, dirty, with terrible customer service. read more

I went in today because I wanted a gel manicure and a pedicure. Both services were handled by Steve who was so nice and detail oriented. He made sure both my pedicure and manicure were to my liking and he painted them so well. He also set me up with my rewards card and explained it to me and I can't wait to keep going back. It's close by, clean and convenient, and everyone is very nice. But I just don't think you get "regular" top quality treatment unless you pay extra for the spa mani's & pedi's or the gels. I did get an ok $25 pedi, but up close, I still have dead skin that should've been buffed away and three nails are obviously crooked. I also asked for the person I had last time, in the hopes I'd be treated like a "regular." I don't go that often, for this very reason. If I knew i'd get a really top-quality pedi each time, I'd go more often. FYI: I always overtip. This is my 5th or 6th visit. Not sure I'll be going back. read more

I used to go to coco for nails and facial waxing. I found that for the price it wasn't very good quality. Yes the space is beautiful but I found that my nails chipped quickly, even with gel manicure within the first week, and I usually had to go home to tweeze hairs that they missed from waxing. I have put a lot of faith into this place. Pedicure is good but I always get a shellac manicure. After 3 times of going back & telling them this has never happened but they chip within a couple days. I've been getting my nails done with shellac for way too long. Probably 6 years now. They always last 2 weeks. Will never go again. The nail technicians rushed you to make decisions, go from place to place, and were rude. I asked for a gel manicure. I got gel, but no manicure. The technician that worked on my finger nails used proceeded to use the cuticle pusher on my dry weak nails (had just been soaked in 100% acetone). That is not the standard. Nail technicians are supposed to perform manicures on hydrated nails (nails that have sat in a bowl of water to soften the cuticle). When I questioned the technician about her actions she said something to the effect of "maybe they do that at other places, but we don't do that here." To which I responded, "so you're telling me that it's okay to damage nail beds." This was followed by no response. Many of the staff served me with bad attitudes. I love this place! I have been looking for a new nail salon since I moved to the area and have tried just about every place in Port Chester and Rye Brook. I will never go anywhere else. It is a very clean and relaxing environment. Mina is the best at pedicures and manicures, I highly recommend her. After a handful of visits, I'm calling it quits! The first couple of visits were ok, although I was passed over for massages. My guess, if you don't tip your nail tech enough - they will seat you in the "no massage section" of the drying table! Next, I was talked into trying the eyelash extensions and paid over $140 for the service and they looked nice. However, when I was ready to remove them - they wanted to charge me another $30...a process that takes less than 5 minutes. They pretend to be about customer satisfaction, but they are about money only. Sad to say that I am done with this place....but hey - you might have better luck! read more

Call ahead to make an appointment - if June is not there DON'T GO! June has a way of managing the differences between cultures and her English is perfect. She is super friendly and makes the experience very enjoyable and relaxing. She manages the flow beautifully and keeps things moving. The last few times I've gone June has not been there and there has been a vast difference in the experience. The overall energy of the other employees is short, rude, unhelpful and unaccommodating. There has been a lot of turn over lately and even as a regular who has been going there weekly for years there is not a friendly face in the room, so seeing June makes all the difference. I just left there furious because I was asked three times if I needed change to tip - so insulting! If I don't see June soon I may be switching to Muse in Greenwich - the male massage therapist there gives an amazing chair massage! At Coco, Stacey is great, but I'm pretty sure the massage therapists aren't licensed and they seem to be very tired and overworked. UUUUggghh! I received a gift certificate for mani/pedi which is $39. I opted to do the Honeymoon Pedicure paying the $20 difference. The place is very nice, staff were very friendly and there are many chairs to sit in, so I thought my pedicure would be fantastic since it retails for $47. Sadly I was let down. Kim did my pedicure and I expected more for $47 - it was a basic pedicure at best. Not a very long massage & she slaps honey in a big plop on one part of your thigh and there's no way to rub it in all over - so it just sits there, so weird. I've had spa pedicures for $35 that were so much better. Given that experience I stuck with the basic manicure. I was switched to a different person for that. No soaking of my hands, just a very quick manicure. Bottom line: place is really nice, staff friendly, BUT way overpriced for the services you get. There's nothing in between the $27 basic pedicure and $47 Honeymoon spa one. Others asked while I was there. I've been to other salons and the menu generally starts at $25 and goes up in $5 & $10 increments. I really wanted to like it, but I will not be returning. read more

I had asked for a specific type of manicure and called over the phone and they said ofcourse they can do it. I get there and the woman at the front desk was friendly and informative, they sat me down and had me soak my nails since i had gel nail polish on. I sat and waited for 15 minutes...anyone who gets gel manicures knows it should take 5 min tops to do so. So i waited patiently until it became ridiculous and had to ask when i was going to be taken care of. They finally had a guy come over and he started on my nails, he was SO ROUGH with filing my nails he started to make me bleed, i jumped, i pulled my hand back and he did not blink an eye or stop being rough. If that wasnt enough he didnt know how to do the manicure i asked for, i wanted a gel manicure but i wanted it matte--all you do it put a top coat to do that. He had to ask three different people how to do it before it was done. Then there was a hair on my nail as he was doing it, i politely asked him to remove the hair, he laughed in my face and showed it to the woman next to me who said you dont like the color? I replied i like the color i just want the hair removed-- his solution was apply more top coat over the hair. Then as im drying this top coat he walks away never to be seen again. I have never ever been treated so poorly, i was amazed at their lack of attention and it was clear i was not happy and they couldnt care less. Never going back and i hope someone sees this and they either take this into consideration or if someone who works there sees this please make sure this never happens to anyone else. read more

I told the woman I was getting my eyebrows done for a wedding. Instead I cleaning them up so took off half of my eyebrow, making them way too thin and short. When I told her they were too thin at the end she just found somebody else to do my nails. I told the nail lady to leave the length of my nails the way they were and she cut them shorter than my fingers. For the price, I will never go back. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Recently visited Coco Nail Spa along with a friend and three teens - all 5 of us seeking mani / pedi. Was willing to give them a lot of business, but they refused outright to honor a gift certificate for one manicure that was merely 6 months past expiration date. The woman at the front desk was very rude about the request and wouldn't look me in the eye when she refused to honor the certificate. Not a very bright business move on their part -- lost a ton of business from my group going forward -- all for about a $15 gift certificate that someone legitimately purchased at their salon.
