The rice is to die for. The butter shrimp are my favorite, the fried ones taste too much like grease. Salad is delicious too and portions are so generous. Nice ambiance ! We go at least 1 a month.

I wanted to confirm that I wasn't overlooking anything, as I've visited the drive-thru several times and my tacos have never looked like this. When I walked into CocoShrimp to place my order, I felt a bit scrutinized, and the atmosphere seemed off. I ordered two tacos without lettuce, expecting two shrimp per taco, but there was barely any rice and only half an avocado, despite having paid for a whole one. I believe this will be my last visit.

My husband and I have been going to Coco shrimp when they were just a food truck outside of an ACE Hardware store! We were thrilled when we heard that they were moving to a brick and mortar store in Watauga, which was right down the road from us. When they first opened, we were excited to see that this location would also have a drive through option as well. The option to order online and pick up has been great, especially during peak hours! The inside has lots of seating as well as a few patio tables outside too. Pro-tip... if you're ordering a plate, get the salad on the side. You'll thank me later ;) Both dressings that are options for the salad are great; my favorite is the creamy ginger one though! My favorite plate to order is the coco shrimp plate. The coconut shrimp as delicious! Perfect blend of sweet, balanced by the dipping sauce, over the butter garlic rice! Amazing. We also love their tacos for this same reason. If you are able to order both, do it! You won't regret it.

Ordered the $15.95 five-flavor shrimp sampler that's not on the menu. It comes with two coconut w/ sweet chili sauce, butter garlic, lemon herb, spicy, and sweet and spicy shrimp. All meals include rice, salad with poppyseed vinaigrette, ginger dressing, cucumbers, and craisins. On my next visit, I'll order butter garlic, coconut, and sweet and spicy. These three were my favorites. You can request additional sauces for $0.50. I purchased cilantro lime. It went great with the salad. I recommend switching out the ginger dressing for cilantro lime. Coco shrimp has a tropical beach vibe. I loved the warm atmosphere and friendly service.

This place was so yummy. I drive past it all the time and finally my husband said let's go for lunch. It was Easter Monday it was only us in there around 2pm. The guy who served us was efficient and nice, the food came out quickly. As newbies we didn't really know what to order and it wasn't until I had sat and seen the menu on the table that I saw they had tacos as it was hard to see on the hanging sign above the checkout. So maybe he could have said we also do tacos and sides etc. However, we both ordered the shrimp sampler as it was our first time to try more flavors. I got the coconut, butter garlic and lemon herb. All 3 were delicious! The butter garlic was my top but all were great flavors. Then I got the side salad with poppy seed dressing and that dressing was so refreshing, light, and tasty. Lastly the rice was super fluffy and buttery tasted so good. The had fountain drinks and water. The also had a sink to wash hands which was a nice touch. I loved the beach, surfer style decor also. I will definitely be ordering from here again :)

The food is absolutely amazing! I got the sampler shrimp dish. I love the sauce and dressings. The meal feels a lot healthier than buying fast food at the same price. I have no critiques whatsoever. I could eat here everyday! I love this place. We need one in Dallas soon!

I've been to CoCo Shrimp several times now, and it's an excellent fast fill-up. The shrimp is cooked well, and I liked the sweet and sour better than the garlic plate I had last time; it was far too wet. The salad dressings of ginger or poppy are tasty, and I like that this place does one thing, and they do it well. I've had easy counter-ordering interactions, but the man that calls your name and starts to bring out the food, on the last two occasions at least, just about threw it at me like a depressing movie scene of slop being served to orphans. I'd prefer to pick up my food from a conveyer belt than feel like I'm bothering someone while they're working, I want to eat my shrimp in peace. Overall good food with simple packaging that (I assume) is biodegradable.

I started coming to CoCo Shrimp when they were just a food truck on Basswood. This is before they opened their downtown Fort Worth and Alliance locations. We went quite a few times at first and realized they had some good quality shrimp coming in and made it more of a special treat. Considering they were also charging about $10 per plate for 5-6 pieces of shrimp and rice and salad, it was a splurge. Fast forward to today where they have moved into a third location in Watauga, and still fairly impressed. the prices have gone up a bit and I am still a fan of either the spicy or garlic shrimp. The Coco Shrimp, the namesake, started having a more burnt taste to it. I am not sure if that is a preference amongst patrons but it does not suit me. Considering they charge a dollar extra for the Coco shrimp and my favorite is the spicy, I am perfect fine with the extra dollar. I do tend to either get it with all rice or beg them to not add the craisins. If you love craisins then go ahead and let them add it to the salad. For me, it makes me add an extra step to pick them out when I forget to ask for it to be removed. The shrimp are still good quality, plump shrimp, service is typically pretty good, and mostly relatively clean. read more

Tasty shrimp in several flavors! I had the sampler and my favorites were the sweet and spicy and coconut shrimp. The box comes with rice and salad! The shrimp is laid on the rice and the flavors give the rice a great taste. My only suggestion would be having at least one chicken dish done in similar flavors. My spouse doesn't eat shrimp so we can't enjoy this restaurant together! read more

If you don't mind the long wait, this might be worth a try. The shrimp is on the "wet" side, so if you prefer your shrimp grilled and not sort of rubbery, this may disappoint. The shrimp is tasty, though, and the rice is good. Love the salad and dressing. read more

Took my 5 year old niece to Coco Shrimp, thinking she wouldn't like it but she was insistent. She ate SO much & has talked about the lemon-herb shrimp for months since. She even tries to order it at other restaurants. Me personally... I'm not generally a fan of water critter food, but the coconut shrimp was really good! read more

Amazing food. There is enough food to fill you up. I love a good simple menu. Everything is good on this menu. I am the pickiest eater and this place has raised the bar for restaurants in this area. If this owner keeps standards high this place can be a Watagua shinning star. Great atmosphere and nice clean seating. The place was full in a Wednesday night at 700. So this is a popular location. I am wondering if the have a drive through because i may come back on a weekly basis. It is that good. The garlic butter they put in the rice is amazing. The poppie dressing for the salad is scrumptious. Please don't change anything. This is so good. Also note that the pay out screen has a tip section. What I do not like about this is the line cashiers never receive this money. I wish this was removed from the pay screen. If you want to tip a person, hand it to them. Always. It's hard to click the no tip button but the only fair option. read more

Now don't get me wrong shrimp and sauces are good but the rice is so oily or has too much butter that make it greasy like. But other then the rice I haven't been happy with anything else. The different choice of shrimp has been good so far. They don't have drive thru but you can go in and dine in now. They moved from serving in the food truck outside to now having a place to go indoors. read more

First time! I had a sampler plate and loved everything! It has moved to the top of my favorite places!!! In fact, going again this afternoon. History

Established in 2016.

Coco Shrimp is the result of my love and passion for the Hawaiian islands. My wife and I moved from O'ahu and spent our entire life savings on a beat up old ambulance and hand built it into a food truck piece by piece in our backyard. It's been a long road but since we opened in April 2016, we have recieved a lot of positive feedback and support from our loving customers! It took a lot of faith to make the leap from desk job to business owner but I love waking up in the morning and bringing a taste of Hawaii to Fort Worth.

I was very impressed with the fried oysters. They were big oysters and tasted great. My wife loved her snow crab. It comes with tons of potatoes, corn on the cob and several shrimp and we were stuffed by the time we left. We will definitely come back and try something different on the menu next time

On the holidays they often have a great perk of free bread pudding which is one of my favorite parts of the meal. Definitely stop in for casual seafood boil and leave with happy tummies.

My favorite is the Alambre Burrito. If you accidentally order something else in addition to the Burrito, you will probably be taking it home. And when you take home your Taco's, don't forget to take the chips with you. The chips are also obviously made in house, and fried in Lard before coming to every table.

I recently tried Coco Shrimp for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience. The cashier was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu, which made ordering easy. We decided to go with the sampler, and the food came out quickly. The shrimp itself didn't have a ton of flavor, but it was still enjoyable. I tried the coco shrimp, lemon herb shrimp, and butter garlic shrimp--of the three, the butter garlic was my favorite. The salad was fresh, and I really liked the poppyseed dressing. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal was actually the local blueberry soda--it was delicious! I appreciate the restaurant's concept, which allows for fast service, and the overall experience was positive. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here, it's a solid choice if I'm in the mood for shrimp. read more

Delicious! My husband and I kept driving by the Watauga location when it was being built. We drove by it and saw that it was finally open! We decided to go inside and give it a try. Wow! Everything was absolutely delicious! The garlic and butter seasoned rice just melts in your mouth. The shrimp is delicious! We brought our out-of-town guests to Coco Shrimp. They loved it too! Since we drive by there often, we'll be eating there frequently! I highly recommend Coco Shrimp to anyone who loves shrimp! If you aren't a shrimp person, then you can get the rice and salad!
