Surprisingly good Thai restaurant in the International Drive busy area. Services was outstanding, food was good. We ordered a medley of dishes including Chicken Red Curry, Duck Pho and Chicken Fried rice. The red curry was tasty and hot although not ordered Thai Hot, so be careful. ;) Duck Pho was a surprise. First time we see Duck pho in a menu. Duck portion was good and broth very tasty. Chicken Fried Rice was good but not the best I had. read more

I am so happy my cousin suggested this spot! In summary, service was lack luster, but the food was delicious. Would that be considered a wash? Stopped by for dinner on a rainy Wednesday night and there was no crowd, but the service was not prompt which irked me a bit. Tom yum shrimp soup was delicious and soothing, pro tip ask for rice on the side and add some to your soup. chef kiss* we also got the duck curry, nothing spectacular nor anything to critique, not pictured was the pad seew, great flavor. All in all, stop by if you're in the area or order Togo food is delicious. read more

Was on a trip to Orlando and my husband wanted Thai food. Based on the reviews we found, we came across Coco Thai. The pad Thai was made from rice noodles so it was thinner and slimier noodle. I wasn't too fond of it because that is not my normal go to pad Thai type of noodle. It was in a sauce that was a bit tangier than my preference. My husband got the red curry...it had pumpkin in it. It was quite unique in texture and flavor with the addition of the pumpkin in. We picked out the pumpkin and ate it. Overall it was an okay experience, not the best Thai food, but surely not the worst. The difference in the flavors and the use of the rice noodles was because the chef was from northern Thailand. The waiter had asked us how we liked the pumpkin red curry and then learned this was unique to that region of Thailand. read more

Absolutely some of best Thai food I've ever eaten. They made me some deep fried tofu which was light but not greasy. The won ton broth was superb and the pad soon sent some of the best I've had. Yes yes yes!!! read more

Excellent Thai restaurant in Orlando. Easily accessible from the Orange County Convention Center and close to hotels. The place isn't flashy like many of the "touristy" restaurants but the food is good and served very hot! I ordered their spring rolls ($5.95) - two small spring rolls but had excellent flavor. Also ordered my go-to dish of Pad See Ew ($13.95) and had to have a little caffeine ($2.50). Came in just a bit under $24. For one person, probably a little high but I don't mind paying for good food and this was very good! Recommended, especially if you want to avoid the typical Orlando tourist restaurants. read more

An absolute gem We're from out of town and tried Coco Thai when we had a hankering for Thai food. Absolutely blown away. Fresh incredibly well cooked Thai dishes. Chicken satay was better than most we've had. Basil rolls very fresh. Roasted red curry duck was incredible as was the Massaman curry (with shrimp). Fair wine list. Extremely pleasant staff. Really can't recommend highly enough. read more

Can I just say that this is the best Thai food I've had this side of Florida. When I was in Pensacola, I had me a favorite (Thai 54 Cuisine where ya at!) But THIS! Every time I go to Orlando and someone asks where to eat and they're leaning towards Asian food. THERE IS WHERE I WANT TO GO. Why?! PAD THAI. PAPAYA SALAD. That's it. That's all I'll ever order, really. My brother got the basil roll which looked good, but it has shrimp so I don't eat it. BUT THE PADTHAI. Beautiful restaurant, definitely date worthy/nice event worthy. Service is great. The servers are neat, polite, and willing to accommodate. I had forgot to mention I had a peanut allergy, and when my food came out and I told, them, they promptly returned it to the kitchen, no questions asked. The papaya salad. Such a generous portion. It has the tangy. It has the mild sweetness. It has the subtle fish sauce, the perfect amount of salty. And the crisp crunch of shredded young papaya. I literally eat everything. The Pad thai. Same thing. Perfectly balanced. You can taste the sweet and sour tamarind. The little bit of lime. The fish sauce. Perfect salty/sweet/tangy combo. Saucy, but not too saucy. Doesn't feel drowned in oil. I wish they had a little more chicken but everything tastes so good I don't really care. Seriously. I need to go back to Orlando for more of this pad thai and papaya salad. *sigh* until then. read more

Went here with my wife and son Overall good food, nice looking restaurant and decent service. Food - apps - wonton soup. Hot. Enough for 2. Tasty. App- wife enjoyed the papaya salad. Medium spice. No fishy smell. Good portion. App- Fish cakes - looked good on reviews but man they are not crispy. They are spongy like tofu. Waitress mentioned it after the fact. Disappointed in texture and taste Main- sweet and sour chicken. Holy crap was this dish the star. Excellent chicken, cooked exceptional. Sauce was great. Not like typical chinese food crap. We visited Coco Thai in January 2022 and it did not disappoint. If you ask, will give you their separate vegan/vegetarian menu which is SUPER convenient. I tried Khao Soy with Tofu and it was delicious. 100% recommend, 100% will return if we are in the area again. My fiancé got the Pad See EW and his was pretty good, but not as good as the Khao Soy. I went here with a large group. Our server was great and made sure to keep everyone's waters filled. Our food mostly came out at the same time. There is a large vegetarian/vegan menu, which I loved. Many of the dishes can be made with tofu. I got basil tofu, and it tasted great. It had the right amount of spice and sweetness. If you want legit food near I-Drive, then go here instead of a crappy chain. read more

We were at a show nearby and decided to grab some lunch based on the reviews here on Yelp. We were not disappointed. My wife and I started with the Shrimp Basil Rolls which were really good. They're wrapped in rice paper and not fried so they make a nice starter. For the entree I opted for the Duck Noodle Soup because it's something I've never seen on a menu before. It was so good, the duck was incredibly moist and delicious and the overall dish was fantastic. My wife went with the Green Curry with Tofu. She thought it was really good. The service was extremely friendly and this was a really nice place to visit on I-Drive. If you're looking for some good Thai cuisine, Coco should fit the bill. read more

Always looking for good places and this gem is a little hidden from the main drag, but I thought the food was fresh and tasty. I like drunken noodles, and though they did not have it specifically on the menu I asked the waitress, she said closest they had was the pad see ew on the menu, but she can add spice to it if I wanted. I did, and it was perfect. Had it with beef. Also ordered the steamed dumpling appetizer- also yummy. Nice place too. Look for it next time in the area. Nice people, good meal and very accommodating. Next to a twisty treat too. Could not pass up and like a kid, it melted over my hand and on to my pants. I laughed like a kid too, ah memories. No other place like Orlando to act like one! read more

Amazing food. The Thai wings appetizer was your classic sweet and sour with a nice zing. The meat was cooked so well it just melted in the mouth. Top it off with some lime juice for extra flavor! The Pad Thai was great with classic Thai flavors. Portions are pretty good for the price (I ate off the lunch menu). Service was very kind and great, they took care of our needs when we had questions about our order. Everything came out a decent time from being placed. read more

While on vacation we decided to try a bit of Thai to break up the home cooked meals in the condo. I am so happy we found this place. We ended up going for a late lunch. The location is on the I Drive strip and the outside was no match for the wonderful and welcoming decor. We were greeted and seated right away. Not a lot of patrons donning in while we there but plenty of carry our orders. We went with chicken pad Thai and curry chicken. The food was VERY good and we were not disappointed. We went to see the titanic museum and planned to go to coco thai based on their reviews. I ordered the pad thai which was good, sweet, slightly fruity, and the chicken and vegetables were good in it along with the crushed nuts. I probably wouldnt get it again as I prefer less sweet dishes. The egg rolls were amazing! They were lightly crispy and filled with fresh shredded veggies. These are a must have! read more

After a full day at Universal Studios, my family and I were all really hungry. "Raph go and find someplace to eat", "I got it, there's a Thai place near our hotel." The place is very open and has that urban style vibe with high chairs near the kitchen and ample seating at the bar. We ended up sitting in the high chairs near the kitchen. It was pretty awesome because you were able to see the chefs at work. It's crazy how quick they work and how many dishes they have to manage at one time. For appetizers, we ended up ordering the chicken satay and the basil rolls. The basil rolls were nice and refreshing with the hint of the basil leaf. For the meal meal we ended up ordering the vegetable fried rice, tom yum, tofu green curry and pad see eu chicken. I have to say our waiter was very attentive keeping an eye on our waters and knowing the menu especially well. The presentation of each dish was really well done including the soup. The soup came in a bowl with an open flame (wooo). I specifically had the green curry, I didn't think it was that spicy, maybe towards the end. It had a balance between spice and flavor. The white rice was enough for the curry. The various vegetables and the zucchini really helped aid to texture the dish. The wait for food wasn't that long, it was a pretty busy restaurant at around 10 pm. I really enjoyed the flavors of the food and I'm willing to come back to try some more dishes the next time I go to Florida if I do. read more

I could have sworn I already reviewed this spot. We have been here twice now and both times had been exceptional. The dining area is open and modern. It is very well lit and can be described as clean. You can see back into the kitchen behind modern glass. You can see the people working on your food, to be honest, they look like thai grandparents back there and by the taste of the food, you can tell they have old thai cooking wisdom they are using to bring the magic of their food to you. Chicken Pad Thai- Excellent! The noodles are delicious and the whole dish has a bit of sweetness to it Chicken Fried Rice- Exceptional! The flavor is so fresh and the whole meal just comes together and makes each bite enjoyable Chicken Satay- Not so good. All the chicken satay I have ever had was dark meat and grilled on a stick. This places chicken satay is just tiny pieces of chicken breast on a stick covered in yellow sauce. Was an incredible disappointment both in taste and value. Despite the chicken satay this place still earns a 5 star! The food and expertise of the chefs is exceptional! read more

Our first visit...and it was Exceptional! Across the board...food - well prepared, flavorful, spicy, and they do have a spice trio you can ask for that can kick it up a notch or two if you like; service - gracious and well timed; very attentive; ambiance - well done, character fitted the food! Overall, we give this a 5 star rating, and we will be back to see if they maintain the standards demonstrated today.... Which I have NO doubt! Called in a late night order for dinner after being out all day for volleyball tournaments. This little hidden gem was delicious! The red curry was full of flavor, and had the perfect amount of spice. Wasn't extremely fond of the pad Thai- maybe because it was such a late order, we're talking like 10:00 pm! A little on the pricey side for Thai food, but considering where it's at, we weren't to surprised. Overall though, the food was really good and worth a trip if you like Thai food. Wanted some Asian food after days of fried stuff around Universal. Found this place on Yelp. Ordered several noodle dishes and everyone enjoyed it. The pho doesn't come with the standard pho meats, so doesn't seem very authentic, but the soup was very hot...so good enough for me in this case. The hostess wasn't very friendly...seemed less than thrilled to have customers, but the server was VERY friendly and helpful. Overall, not a bad place to check out when visiting! read more

When I first walked into this place I was a little hesitant, but seeing the kitchen right in the open made me feel safe and comfortable. You never know what's really cooking behind close doors. Just being sarcastic. However, I was impressed with the coconut Thai soup bc even though it was different from what I normally get which is the Panang curry this one was tasteful and delicious and nicely, hotly, served in a traditional Thai pot which made it more interesting. Before I tell you how great the food is at this place, let me give you some context. I lived in Thailand for 2 years. And I think most of the thai restaurants I've eaten at in South Florida are very pale shadow of the incredible food you get in Thailand. I've also eaten at a few thai places in Orlando and Coco Thai is by far the best. It's the most authentic (aka delicious) Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. And they have Khao Soy! If you love curry, do yourself a favor and get the khao soy. It's a yellow curry and noodle dish that is popular in the Chiang Mai area of Thailand. I've never even seen it served in a Thai restaurant outside of Thailand. Other favorites include the larb Gai (chicken), som tum (papaya salad), wonton soup, Tom Yum, and cashew chicken. The duck noodle soup is really good too although the one time I had it it was a bit salty. Can't wait to try their other curries and fish! If you're in Orlando and love Thai food, make sure you drop by this authentic gem of a restaurant.. read more

Thai food is one of the most internationally recognizable and widely loved cuisines. Our highly regarded head chef originating from Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, has worked in esteemed Thai restaurants in Dubai, India, Japan, Miami FL, Charleston SC and after a brief time back in Thailand, Suntorn has returned to the US to deliver his amazing Thai culinary skills to Orlando. No more buying cards with X number of points, and each game costs 6-12 points per play. You truly can't beat this deal. Nor can you beat the ambience, the decor, the food, and the customer service from the awesome employees. I recently went to Orlando for a conference, and while we spent the majority of our time in a large…read moreresort and convention center, the leadership of the organization hosting the conference hosted a special dinner in one of the reservable ballrooms at the Cuba Libre Restaurant. I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of that kitchen. They finished our meal by bringing out a special plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, a chocolate cookie, and banana foster. It was beautifully presented, and that banana foster was fantastic! We will definitely consider ordering a full-sized one on our next visit. Overall, Eddie V's delivered an outstanding experience -- from the atmosphere to the service to every single bite. We'll absolutely be back.

I recently visited this Thai restaurant and had an absolutely outstanding experience thanks to my server, Hanaa. From the moment I arrived, she was attentive and accommodating - immediately replacing my ice water with room temperature water when requested, with a genuinely friendly attitude. What impressed me most was Hanaa's knowledge of the menu. When I was undecided, she asked thoughtful questions to understand my preferences, guiding me to the perfect choice - a delicious spicy pad prick fish curry that was exactly what I wanted. Throughout my meal, Hanaa checked in regularly without being intrusive, ensuring everything was to my satisfaction. When I inquired about the restaurant's excellent music, she went above and beyond by personally sharing the Spotify playlist information with me. Hanaa's service embodied everything you'd want - warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely caring about creating a wonderful dining experience. I recently visited Coco Thai with a party of 25, and it was the worst dining experience we've ever had. Our orders were consistently mixed up, appetizers arrived after entrees, and our drinks were neglected. Despite numerous inquiries about my missing appetizer. To make matters worse, when the check came, I was charged for the appetizer I never received. Manager Liz displayed a dismissive attitude, demanding someone had to pay for it with a power trip. I was trying to explained the error but she adamantly demanded payment, even though I never received my food. She said well someone had to cover this! Like come on it was $8 and our total bill for the table for more than $900 plus and they added gratuity on top. I urge the owners and higher management to reconsider having Liz represent Coco Thai, as her handling of customers leaves a bad taste! This is not the level of service one expects from a restaurant of this caliber. Aight, COCO Thai Cuisine on International Drive got that fire food, no doubt. The vibe is chill, the decor is clean, and the flavors be hittin'. I had the Tom Kha soup, which was creamy AF, and the Pad See Ew had that smoky, wok-kissed flex. The portions? Big enough to keep you full, and the food itself? Straight-up solid. But yo, the service? Nah, bruh. They kept tryna snatch up plates when there was still food left--like, chill out, we ain't done yet! And here's the kicker: when it came time to pay, the server didn't even bring the debit/credit machine to the table. Dude just grabbed my card like it was no big deal. THEN had the nerve to be like, "Don't worry about tipping, I already added it for you." Like, *really?!* We weren't even a big table, fam. That's shady vibes all the way. Bottom line? Our server was okay (on the fence) because our 4th dish never made it to our table. This place isn't close to authentic Thai food at all. The beef Laab that we ordered didn't taste at all like Laab. It was just a sour (lemon) dish with cooked ground beef, some herbs. If you dig deep enough, there was a hint of Laab flavoring (cooked/grounded rice). We also ordered a Papaya Salad. The papaya salad was shredded papaya in too much lemon juice, and herbs. Besides that, no flavor at all. Our third dish was a red curry dish. This dish was okay, not great but good. How bad was it, I was kidding with my wife that this "Thai" restaurant was probably owned and operated by Americans just looking to add a Asian taste to the area. I was walking down and I noticed this new Thai restaurant down the road so I decided to try it out. Being my first yelp review, this new delight deserves it so. The place is clean, modern, and has a lit bar. I was overwhelmeddd by the choices from the menu. I got the Pad Thai and Pad See-Eu and they both were so delicious! Mind you, I have a BIG appetite and wow the portion sizes were huge! I barely had enough room for desert but I finished off with green tea fried ice cream and boy was it ( ° °). I was really disappointed with my visit. Seeing a server asleep at the bar while another staff member tried multiple times to wake them up was a poor reflection on the restaurant. It felt like there was a complete lack of concern about how the establishment presents itself to customers- especially if the sleeping person is the owners child. If they don't care about how they're seen in front of guests, it makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes. MY FAVORITE THAI IN ORLANDO. I get takeout from here at least once a week, sometimes more. The tofu nam sod salad is my addiction! Limey, gingery, peanutty, crunchy, well-balanced goodness. The red is perfectly spicy with nice sweet chunks of fresh pumpkin. I eat mostly vegan (coco has a veg menu) and tend to avoid seafood in restaurants if it's not prepared perfectly, and their shrimp is cooked to perfection and fresh every time. They served the soup in a large deli cup (fine), but the small, flimsy utensils were not up to the task of eating it out of that container. The place is elegantly decorated with an Asian theme. However, some of the benches attached to the booths had worn out upholstery. Our server, Yumi (spelling?) was polite and efficient. We had the salt and pepper squid appetizer. It was plentiful and great with the accompanying sauce. However, we didn't like the breading. And I dared to bite into one of the peppers that accompanied it and it set my mouth on fire. For dinner we had the Szechuan scallops and the XO fish. The scallops were tasty and the dish had lots of broccoli, peppers, and mushrooms. The sauce was a bit sweeter than we expected. The XO fish sauce was very similar to the Szechuan sauce and though the fish was a tad salty, it was still savory. The asparagus that accompanied that dish was chopped (easier to eat) and there were plenty of sweet snap peas and bell peppers. We adore snow pea tips and were in the mood for lots of veggies. So, we got an order to accompany our meals. We did take home most of it, along with lots of broccoli (for me) from the Szechuan scallops. We were treated to a complimentary Chinese-style dessert made with peeled split mung beans and thickened with tapioca starch into a gooey, translucent pudding that was served warm. Our meal of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 order of veggies, a pot of tea, tax, and tip was $138.

This is not my favorite must have cuisine, however, Tabla really changes that mindset for me! Their food is so delicious that I often find myself wanting it! We visited their location near Universal which happens to be one of the first Yelp events we attended over 10 years ago! There is a small parking lot, since their location by Universal is attached to a hotel. The overall feel was more on the elegant side with beautiful lighting and lots of tables. We were greeted immediately and seated. We started with the Chaat Platter which was an assortment of Pani Poori (Crisp Poori Served with Chickpeas, Potato Stuffing, Mint Water, Tamarind Water, & Sweet Yogurt), Samosa Chaat (Flavored with Indian Spices, Served with Chick Peas, Topped with Sweet Yogurt and Homemade Chutneys), Dahi Bhalla Chaat (Lentil Dumplings, Crispy Flour Strips, Chick Peas, & Diced Potatoes Topped with Sweet Yogurt and Homemade Chutneys) and Aloo Tikki Chaat (Potato Patties Flavored with Indian Spices, Served with Chick Peas, Topped with Sweet Yogurt and Homemade Chutneys). It was served cold, which I did not love, but it was still really good and I would order it again. We also ordered the Chili Edamame, which we got at a spice level of 3 and it was so good! I honestly ate most of it, it was so good! We also ordered drinks, I got the Lychee Martini and my husband ordered an Old Fashioned. Both drinks were very good! We had planned on getting more but to be honest we got so full we couldn't do it. We also both ordered the mango lassi off our servers recommendation. It was so good and like pure blended mango! I loved it. I saw they had a cocktail with Mango Lassi so that will be next time! I chose the Butter Chicken which is chicken cooked in a flavorful Tomato Cream Sauce with Basmati Rice, the regular naan and it came with jasmine rice. So good and so classic. This is my favorite and I definitely ate left overs the next day. My husband went with the Chicken Curry which was creamy, tangy, and aromatic dish made with Coconut Milk, Tamarind, Curry Leaves and a Blend of Traditional Spice with Basmati Rice and he chose the garlic naan. This was very flavorful and really good. I love the sauce for this and dipping the naan into it. Overall this is a fantastic restaurant and I am so glad that Tabla comes to many Yelp events! It has changed my mind for Indian food and I am now a fan! This is a place we found because of Yelp but will now visit a lot because we are a fan!
