    Thai Tea. Mmmm

Coco Thai I was grabbing donuts next door when I stumbled upon this hidden gem tucked away in a small shopping center. At first glance, it looks like a simple takeout spot, but there are a few tables inside if you prefer to dine in. The atmosphere is cozy, and the waitress was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. To top it off, the NFL Network was playing a football game--definitely added some extra fun to the meal! I ordered the Penang curry duck, coconut soup, Tom Yum soup, fried calamari, and Thai fried rice--everything was absolutely delicious. I would happily come back just for that Thai fried rice! Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for a quick and tasty Thai meal. Thanks, Coco Thai!

I admit this is my second go around with Thai Cuisine however I seem to have a fondness of Thai & even other cuisines from other cultures as well. Place was delivered from Suffield,/Enfield, CT but it arrived early & fortunately when the Grubhub delivery person came I was able to get him to hand off delivery (including photo verification) & I selected Drunken Chicken & Seafood Madness (oh yeah I did my own photo stuff as well). I hope this is helpful & extra for gentlemen that second food thing is safer than the ED med stuff it's a natural aphrodisiac.

Eggplant with beef again, a bit better than last time with more flavor. Unfortunately it's not on lunch menu, so adding a soup made the lunch 2x more expensive than items from the lunch menu, plus without spring rolls.

Never ever a bad meal from here.. We order the two types of duck on the menu.. crispy duck and quack on a rack... Also coconut milk soup. Always hot and fresh quickly made as well. Always will come back!!

    Receipt

Online prices are very inaccurate and ended up way more expensive in person? pretty deceiving

What a delicious meal it was!! Yum!! I was looking for a Thai food on the way to the airport and found this wonderful place that I can't say enough great things about it! They have lunch specials everyday and even on weekends!! HUGE PLUS! The meal has two things. First soup and rolls! You can have all soup or all rolls also! I picked soup and rolls!! TOM KHA soup is my absolute favorite and that's what picked! The rolls were super delicious too! Then I picked then drunken noodles with chicken which was super delicious! I highly recommend this hole in the wall spot!! Server was great and everything was amazing!

Outstanding food! They are only takeout at this time but the food is phenomenal. Well worth it. I had the Massaman Curry with chicken and brown rice. It was a great dish on a cold and windy fall day. Service was also fantastic ! Go Check this place out !!!

The food was good. I thought portion was kind of small for price. Great staff and atmosphere. Small but cute place.

Delicious pad Thai. Won't get the wings again though. But pad Thai is good and the girl at the front is always so nice.

Chef June (who is a Michelin trained chef btw) stopped by my table while I ate to make sure everything was ok . It certainly was! She is so sweet and mindful The chicken was crisp and savory, arriving with a blend of tomato's, onions, basil and spice! Fantastic! The pad Thai, full of bean sprouts and seasoned beef with a sweet flavor and crushed peanuts. Absolutely full of flavor! If you like this food or want to try something new, kiao wan is the best place to visit. It's small but welcoming, the chef cooks with love. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for! I'm definitely coming back to try other dishes!

It is accessible from a large parking lot (and not visible from the main road). The restaurant only had a couple other customers, so tables were empty. There are tables or counter seating, and the restaurant would not be ideal for large groups. We ordered at the counter and picked a table to sit at, and then they brought out our dishes to us. My husband and I ordered red and green curries (dishes we'd usually order from Thai restaurants). I wanted the mango sticky rice, but they were out. The curries arrived quickly- probably around 10 minutes- with sides of rice. The curries were flavorful, and they used thai eggplants. Like other customers say, the portions were large, and we took leftovers with us (which tasted just as good the next day), but we needed to order more rice, and they charged $4 per extra rice- so it was $8 for us to have extra rice (which I understand is now the norm to charge for extra rice, but sigh). If we lived in the area, we would order takeout from here, rather than eat in. There are no bathrooms within the restaurant itself, but there's an exterior hallway with public restrooms.

I've been wanting to try The Elephant Trail for at least four years now…read more So today, after running some errands in Simsbury and Canton, I pulled in for lunch. I was greeted warmly, and my neighbor and I were seated in a lovely booth by the window. Iced water was poured into the glasses that were sitting on the table, and lunch menus were placed in front of us No munchies or sauce were served while I was perusing the menu I placed my order for an order of chicken wings for the appetizer, and for $16.95, I ordered chicken and garlic sauce with white rice, along with hot and spicy soup and two small egg rolls My neighbor ordered a shrimp and Thai sauce lunch. Within five minutes, the chicken wings arrived 8 in total, which included 4 flats and 4 drumettes These chicken wings were seasoned perfectly, and then deep-fried to a golden brown. A beautiful spicy Thai sauce was served on the side. I could've made a meal out of these. These were some of the best chicken wings I've ever had in my 65 years here on earth. The Tom Young soup arrived, and it wasn't what I was expecting, boy was this thing sour and as soon as I hate it, I went whoa, the waitress saw that I didn't like it and offered to exchange it for Mayo soup which I gladly did. The miso soup was delicious seasoning so nicely with basil. So far, I am experiencing perfection. The dinners arrived, and buy garlic, chicken and vegetables with white rice was OK. It wasn't great, but don't get me wrong. It wasn't bad at all. I would've liked to see more garlic sauce, and maybe a little bit more spicy. Instead, it was rather bland. My neighbor loved the Thai shrimp and vegetable vegetables Restrooms were clean, and I loved the ambience, Thai casual. The total with the tip was just over $54. I am really on the fence if this is the best Thai in Connecticut or close to it. So far no. But I would gladly come here again because this would be a top five in the Avon Valley area. I love the experience, and our server gave us extraordinary service. This was a great experience. I just wish the main course was a little bit more seasoned. I will come here in the future and try a different dish

Sala seems like a high quality standard authentic Thai restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. There were certainly apps and noodle dishes you might find as street food, but no more or less than usual. In any event, I ordered the Sala Noodle Lunch Special, which comes with Tom Yum Soup (along with choice of protein) and fried wontons. My only less than enthusiastic comment concerns the fried wontons. They were room temperature, but they were flavorful. I ordered shrimp with the Tom Yum soup. How cool is it that shrimp is even an option? And it was perfectly tender. The soup had that classic sweet, sour and hot flavor. The Sala Noodles were very good. Wide noodles. Thin pieces of chicken. Carved grilled calamari. Snow peas. Sprouts. I could taste terrific char grill flavor, and that's a rare thing in this type of dish. The noodles and chicken had good flavor. I loved the basil flavor in the sauce. An outstanding lunch special. I'd definitely return to try more. Cheers to the one person who was hustling to serve all the tables. She did so with a smile. 4.5 Stars

However, they managed to up the game again when they presented another off the menu dish, pork kidney dish 爆腰花。 It's one of my absolute fav. Chinese dishes that's very rare among typical Chinese restaurants here, previously I had to go to Boston Chinatown to get it. Pacifica's rendition absolutely nailed it, super clean taste with added green for a healthy twist, 6 out of 5 stars! 2/22/2023 Continue to evaluate the Chinese menu. Todays lunch 红烧肉 earned another 5 stars. I rarely eat this dish because it uses the pork belly with fat, but the version here has the most lean meat. It also has a good portion of vegetables making it more healthy. The taste was spot on, really really awesome Feb. 2023. Pacifica continued to impress. Today I tried their Lamb noodle soup for lunch, not on the menu, not even on the Chinese menu. Only available from time to time but you had to ask. Lamb stew is bone in, authentic Chinese style with daikon & fresh baby Bok Choy, so flavorful that I felt being teleported back to Beijing. Amazing dish, I am giving it 6 out of 5 stars. Along with previous fav. of eggplant with beef, I am in love with this place! PS. Remember to ask for the wider knife cut or hand pulled noodle, they are epic! otherwise you get default skinny noodles.

They were very quick to make this order on the spot. So service here goes against the grain of what I've read on other reviews. We were happy with the level of service. We had takeout so we can't really comment on ambiance. My wife went in and felt that it was clean and the people were very friendly and customer focused. Prices are good compared to other Asian restaurants in the area. The food wasn't world class but it wasn't terrible either. I had pad Thai chicken, it wasn't very spicy, and was just fair IMO. The flavors all seemed a bit blunted. My wife and daughter had sushi, again it wasn't world class but they've had better and fresher. Nothing wrong but nothing stellar either. The Kani crab salad was very good. The broccoli with garlic sauce was fresh, and delicious. So some hits, some misses, solid middle of the road for this encounter. We'll try again and give an update.
