Wow. What a find. I love when I walk into an Asian restaurant and there are all Asians there. Had to wait for a table and they were rocking busy. All good signs. Finally sit down after about 10 minutes. Service was fast and they have BeerLao Dark my very favorite Asia beer. BONUS! So happy right away. Good menu. Not mind boggling just perfect. Had the Pad woon sen chicken spice level 5 and egg rolls. It was perfect! Good egg rolls with great sweet chili dipping sauce. Pad woon sen was delicious. Oh my goodnessssss. Every bite was delicious. I was on a roadtrip, and I was craving thai food so I stopped by for a bite with my roadtrip buddies. It was SOOO GOOD I was on my way back to my roadtrip and I wanted to go back immediately to order more food for the road but I had a party to be at. Honestly, I would have dipped the party to get me some noodles but my friends would have been upset. Anyways, the wait was long but damn worth it. Can't rush perfection. We've been here a few times and every time is the same. I'll start off with the food is consistently amazing. The service is what's lacking. The restaurant itself is not run well. The servers are inexperienced therefore do not know which meals to bring and become confused with which order goes where. Appetizers are usually the last meal that's brought to our table. This place is a gem! My bf and I showed up at about 6pm Sunday night and the place is already full with customers. The servers are nice, there is a little wait to get our food but it is definitely worth the wait. I ordered the chicken pad woon sen and it was delicious!! Just got our to go order and this is the second time getting take out. Let me just say this is the best Thai food in town. We got the Pad Thai, Spring rolls and Chicken Panang curry. The curry was thick and not watered down like other places in town, I've only had curry this good out of town and in city areas. Very balanced flavors with the proper aromatics and they will customize the heat level for you. Everything was delicious and I'm so happy merced has this hidden gem. Please give this place a try! This place is a hidden gem within Merced! Pad Thai is delicious and you can have no spice or all the spice in the world lol. Ive also tried the fried tofu which was amazing. I would never ever eat something like that but saw someones picture and gave it a try. Im SO glad I did, it was flippin delicious! The PHO? AMAZE BALLS! Unfortunately, this place opened up just prior to the pandemic, or during the pandemic, and the quality and quantity of their meals was excellent for the price but recently, as always, the price has gone up in the quality, and the quantity of the meals has diminished. Food was great! I'm Laotian and Hmong and I know great food when I've tired it. I had their Tom yum salad, I don't remember the name but it had great flavors if you're looking for a refreshing taste and perfect amount of sourness. I also ordered the pad see ew and yellow curry. The pad see ew was a little more bland and the curry was on the thicker side. Curry had great flavor though I just wish it had a little more med-thin sauce. The experience was great as well.
