If I can give coco ZERO stars, I would. I dropped my bridesmaid dress off to her a week before I needed it done and she said she would have it done the morning of the day I needed it. I went to pick it up that morning on my way down to Irvine (where I was staying for the wedding the NEXT day). She was taking some time looking for it, and lo and behold... it wasn't finished. She didn't even initially apologize for it, gave me some excuse that she was going to use another machine but then FORGOT about it and said she can do it in 30 minutes. 30 minutes?? I'm pretty sure it takes at least an hour to do a decent job, and I didn't have the time to wait because I had to be down in Irvine for rehearsal. Of course I got upset, and just wanted a simple, genuine apology from her and to at least offer a discount or something other than doing a quick, half-ass job. And some how she made it seem like I was at fault and she started yelling at me saying that she wouldn't alter my dress for me even if I begged plus a few other unpleasant things. wow. At that point, I knew I didn't want this woman to touch my dress anymore and found an amazing place in Irvine that said they could finish it by that night once my rehearsal was done. They did a perfect job, AND they were incredibly nice AND they were cheaper. Coco has been a great find! She has made several alterations for me. I had surgery last year and lost 30lbs in a little over a month. She was able to get my pants in quickly and make the alterations so I wasn't wearing a rope for a belt or sweat pants. She even made the alterations that when I started gaining the weight back she could let them back out. For those who say she is rude. You obviously haven't got the chance to know her. Took my wedding dress to be altered by Coco over a month ago. She had great reviews & was recommended by the bridal boutique I purchased my dress from. Called her in advance & she had me come in. She looked at my dress & knew exactly what to do, pinning & repinning the bustle until she was satisfied, as was I. I had her take in the bodice slightly, add cups, hem & bustle the dress. The train was 6' long & she somehow managed to bustle it so well! It looked beautiful. Though she is a little on the pricier side, I am so pleased with the work she did on my dress that I would highly recommend her to anyone who is concerned to leave their wedding dress! I bought a vintage dress from a store on Melrose and it was pretty close to zipping all the way, I bought it anyways knowing I had to get it altered. It was a tiered dress with a lace overlay and a ribbon around the middle. I took it to the place I take my dry cleaning, but they said they won't alter it. So I came here after Yelping it and was not disappointed. She took out the zipper and made it fit! It looks like its never been touched. And she did it for only $20. I took my wedding dress to Coco. It was a sample dress so was about 2 sizes too big. She made it fit like a glove after the first fitting. I mean literally it was a glove because it was a fit and flare and hugged all my curves to the point where I was nervous about gaining even two pounds before my wedding. Took two stars off because she takes oddly timed lunch breaks (I came once during her normal hours and she was gone), and I didn't love the way she did my bustle. I would have preferred a more simple bustle but she did a four-point one which always looked asymmetric no matter how I tinkered with it. I found about Coco here on yelp, and she's great! I took a little black dress I wanted to get altered, and she had it done in just two days! She charged me $18 which isn't too bad for a dress. I also took in a dress just to adjust the straps, and a skirt to alter the wait line and it was $28 all together. Very reasonable prices. She's very nice and gives great service. I love Coco! She is amazing at what she does. I litterly brought in 3 vintage dresses from the 50's and she reworked them to fit a modern 5-6 size. Coco is excellent- her alterations are perfection, and if they aren't perfect the first time, she tries her best and fixes it until it fits you perfectly. I've taken dresses and pants- including ones that were too small, and she was able to alter them without any obvious discrepancies. Also, the quality of her revisions is way better than the price she asks for. She can come off in the beginning as a little short/succinct/maybe even a bit curt- but she quickly warms up to you when you revisit her. read more

It only took a couple of days to get them back, and even when my boyfriend didn't have enough cash to pay for them when he picked them up, she let him take them and we came back later with the remaining balance. I came here twice and each time Coco doesn't make eye contact, rushes me, tosses the ticket, etc. I agree w the other review that she seriously hates her job and lacks serious personality, let alone professionalism. Coco is the best. I've never had to use a professional seamstress before since I had my mom to do all of that for me. This is my wedding dress and I can't just trust anyone. However, my mom passed away a few months ago so I had no choice. I decided to use yelp to find someone to do it. I took a leap of faith and found Coco's Alteration due to the great review she had. Let's me just say that she is amazing. I called to make sure she was available since I had to do it during my lunch break. My dress was 2 sizes too big, which is my fault I ordered it online and measured myself incorrectly. She pin me to my size, gave me options regarding what type of bustle would look good with my dress. I felt like a bride once she pin me up and showed how much dress would look like after she's done with it. She told me my dress will be ready in a month time. I called ahead of time to make sure she is available and went today to pick up my dress. I tried it and she made a last minute adjustment before handling it to me. My dress fits like a glove and I look and feel amazing in it. She is very nice and not pushy at all and makes you feel good in your dress. She makes amazing suggestions based on how you look in your dress and what she can fix to make you look more amazing. I totally recommend her. Thank you so much Coco. The top and bottom were SO flared originally and much too large for me. I brought in my prom dress which I ordered a size larger than what I actually wear. I brought the dress to her to A) fit it to my body size B) close up the cleavage area while yet keeping the back low. She also added a hook to the train so that I can attach and detach the train whenever I need to. She had all of this done in less than a week! We bought our son a suit for a wedding in MI. The suit needed to be altered and he took it to Coco's. Coco told him the suit would be ready on the 18th. I went on the 23rd to pick it up and the store was closed. There was a handwritten note on the door saying they were closed for the week and we were leaving for MI the next day! We had to borrow a suit from a neighbor, who luckily had one that kind of fit. Upon returning from our trip, I went to Coco's to get the suit. Luckily my anger about the situation had disappeared and I was able to go in calmly to talk to Coco. I, first of all, asked why they had closed shop. If it had been due to illness or death, I would have understood. But Coco was mean and defensive right off the bat. She said she was on vacation and she deserved it, which I'm sure she does. I asked why she hadn't let us know the shop would be closed. Her refrain to every question or comment I had was, "not my problem". I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate she was. This woman might be a good tailor but is a horrible business owner. Please do not go to her. There are other tailors out there who are kind people. read more
