Coco's Kitchen is a cute restaurant for breakfast or lunch! I had the chile relleno, a popular Mexican dish, if you're into spicy food I'd give it a try. It was definitely full of flavor. The staff was also really friendly. The ambience was cool, it's indoors in a way, but there is no actual ceiling. It's well shaded, just be prepared to deal with a few bugs here and there since it is partially outdoors. If it gets too warm, they also have fans they can sit by your table. Lovely meal! read more

It was alright. Three stars for service, location, and ambience. It really is a lovely little spot. And my waiter was top notch and friendly. Price is cheap, even for the already inexpensive dining options in PV. But the food is so-so. I've had better eggs Benedict at chain restaurants. Yum yum yum - just go! The perfect brunch spot in the most amazing setting. You walk through the doors in to what can only be described as a manicured jungle garden with lush greenery and even a giant two sided candelabra. Service was top notch and I was offered refills on my coffee no less than 4x. I had the Vallarta omelette and my husband had the Churro pancakes. The churro pancakes were to die for- seriously a dessert though and I recommend ordering something savory to offset the sweet. The omelette was satisfying and I had mine with fruit and toast. I was staying in an apartment around the corner from this restaurant and came here for breakfast. There is a dining area inside that is open to the street and abother outdoor area in the back with trees and plants. The menu offers the standard breakfast items or eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. I had an egg breakfast with chorizo, coffee and juice which were all pretty tasty. We went here one morning and fell in love with it! I got the strawberry and pecan waffle and it was amazing! The other people I was with got omelettes and assorted egg dishes and were equally as pleased. The service there was fabulous! The waiter we had came by all the time to check on our drinks and to see if we needed anything else. This restaurant was recommended to me by someone in the area as a great place for breakfast even though they also serve lunch and dinner. The address for me was quite confusing because all maps showed this place to be up near a hotel on the hill when it's actually more towards the beach area. If you walk down Pulpito towards the ocean, you'll find it on the left hand side. The dining area is quite nice with comfortable chairs and a large open window up front for looking out on to the street. They have plenty of tables for larger parties and overall the place is really clean. Their breakfast menu is a simple two folded pages which comes in English & Spanish. They specialize in American style breakfast items such as omelets, benedicts, and egg breakfasts with a couple Mexican items. They have quite a number of griddle options including waffles, French toast and some gluten free batter. It comes with three large halves of a cinnamon roll dipped in batter and covered lightly with some brown sugar. The bacon was okay, a bit too greasy for me. I enjoyed the French toast here, and would recommend it. The only issue I found here at Coco's Kitchen was the service. The service was pretty lousy during my meal because it seemed like none of the servers really wanted to help me when walking in at first. After I finally got sat down, they seemed reluctant to even give me a menu and drink. Finally after getting my coffee by looking over at the waiter who had a carafe, I was able to order my food. To top off the bad start, the food seemed to take forever coming out even though there were hardly any diners at the restaurant. Then to refill my coffee, I literally got up out of my seat a couple times in search of staff so I could get some more. Overall CoCo's has decent food, with okay prices and bad service. I don't think I would return simply because the service was so bad and because the food took so long, I ended up delaying my day a bit. read more

Breakfast was very good this morning. I enjoyed machaca and my wife had a chile relleno omelette. Both breakfasts were excellent. The relleno was a whole chile stuffed with cheese and encased in an omelette. The machaca was tasty, although the meat was a touch dry. Love this piece of paradise. Open in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon, this was our first meal in Puerto Vallarta and it couldn't have been better. We had a Red Burrito and Mole Enchiladas- cleaned our plates! Go all the way inside because the open courtyard with vines, breeze, light music, and white tables made this place so peaceful. My family had breakfast here this AM. The food was heavenly! I had the stuffed French toast, my daughter had the almond French toast, son in law had chorizo and eggs and hubby had pancakes. The eggs served with our meal were clearly farm fresh, cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely (except for the construction next door oh well!) This is such a wonderful place to have breakfast. It was the only place we came back to more than once during our stay in PV. The first time we each got churro pancakes. One with strawberries and whipped cream and one with Nutella and banana. Both were outstanding. We each got eggs and bacon. It's some of the best and crispest bacon I've ever had. Mimosas were good and on 2-4-1 special. The next time we went, he got churro pancakes again with Nutella and banana. I got stuffed French toast which was incredible. The 1 star is based on service. Party of 5, moderately busy (no wait outside as there often is). No one said hello for 10 minutes at our table. Finally a waitress does. She takes our drink orders only, despite us asking to order food. She doesn't write the orders down. She comes over THREE more times to ask questions or clarify drinks orders, which were off the menu and not altered. Waiter comes and just says "ready?". We all order a 2nd round through waitress. My drink never comes. I ask another waiter. Food comes, and half way into finishing my drink finally comes (it was san gria). I tip less than customary 10% and waiter stops us on way out to complain. I politely explain why the service was bad. He made my party feel very uncomfortable, after a frustrating meal. Won't be back. read more

It is important to note that the location shown on the Yelp map is the wrong location for Cocos Kitchen. There is another Pulpito street close to the Malecon, and that is the location of this restaurant. We had dinner here this evening and the food was excellent and lower priced than most restaurants in the area. The almond crusted mahi mahi with mango sauce was perfectly cooked and very tasty.
