We parked in this garage, had our two daughters and a stroller and everything was easily accessible. We parked, took the elevator up from the garage and came out right to HallPass. Colossal Lobster had a concise menu and made ordering easy and the employees were warm and eager to help. We ordered the Maine Lobster Roll and the Sea Salt Pepper Fries. I felt the seasoning on the chilled lobster could have been better, however, I DID love the big chunks of lobster throughout my meal and the beautifully buttered roll is always a highlight for me! The fries were perfect! Those type of fries that are crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and was a solid fry that could last! This was probably my least favorite of the restaurants we visited during our trip. The New England clam chowder was salty - like inedible salty. I decided to take it home to see if I could add cream and a potato to mellow it, but after 2 days of it sitting in my fridge, I knew I wasn't going to eat it. $5 for the cup, which was a rather large cup portion. The oysters were ok. The balsamic sauce w/chopped onions with which it was served was very tasty and a nice touch/alternative to the Tabasco, which I put on anyway. No crackers served with oysters. $3/oyster It was the first restaurant from which we ordered and the last one from whom we got our food. The menu doesn't allow much flexibility to try things, i.e. crab tacos have to be ordered in 3's; I think a variety plate would be in order when you're serving items as unusual as they are. read more

Walked into Hall Pass for the first time. I initially thought it was a restaurant but it's like a fancy upscale food court concept. Luckily, Roland who is one of the managers was incredibly helpful and kind; he tried assisting me though it. The food as he promised was delicious. Was referred this place by a friend who showed me a picture of the Connecticut Roll that he got, and it looked great, with a lot of lobster and so I decided to order my own. So I order on Yelp and had it delivered and opened the box and bummed to see what looked like two pieces of kids sized toast and a very little amount of lobster. The lobster was pretty great, so there's that, but it literally was only two bites and I was done. So about $20 dollars for this item it is not worth the amount and again I reiterate, it looked like it came out of a kids meal. So even though the lobster was great, I would avoid purchasing this expensive miniature item unless you want to spend lots of money on a extremely small sandwich designed for 4 - 8 year old kids, then check it out. After finding the chicken place I was really interested in closed at 12:15 ‍, my second choice was Colossal Lobster. I sat at the small bar/counter, and was ignored by the woman behind it. She was busy assembling orders, so I waited patiently for about 5 minutes. She finished up and looked right past me to take the order of another guy who was just walking up. Am I invisible?!??? After she took his order, I called her out on ignoring me. According to her, people often come sit here without ordering....well, ok. That sounds dubious, but assuming it's true, because people often sit at the bar and don't order, that means she doesn't greet, ask if you want to order or even acknowledge your existence when you sit 2 feet away from her at her restaurant? While I normally would have left, I'd gone through the hassle of making my way over here at lunch, so I ordered the Connecticut lobster roll. It was decent. A fair amount of tasty lobster on a warm buttery bun. Dry, but squeezing the lemon over it made it much better. I'd probably give it 3-4 stars if not for the horrible service, but the service was horrible, so I give it 2. The set up at Hall Pass is very cool, but having my first restaurant choice closed and being treated so poorly at the second one leaves a bad taste. While this place could be amazing, as I look around, it feels like these are not 8 independent local restaurants, but one big corporate restaurant divided up into 8 (well, today, 7) different counters to order from (if you're not assumed to be someone who came to the counter to not order). I had to hit this place before my trip to Maine later this year because I'm sure I will become a lobster after trying the real thing. This place did not disappoint, though. The flavor was very good. It was a tad dry, but then again lobster rolls usually are for me. You pay a reasonable price and it was surprisingly almost filling. While it's not the most filling meal by itself, it's quite a good bit of lobster stuffed in there. I tried the Hot Garlic Butter roll and oh the garlicky buttery goodness it was like a pile of soft delicious lobster meat stuffed into and spilling out of a piece of thick garlic toast.
