This review is only for their Mocha Latte. Parking: They have a tiny, private lot in the back. Be careful when reversing to get out cuz it's hella tight in there. There's also street parking too (watch out for signs). Yelp Bestie Tora M., had mentioned this place to me numerous times whenever we hung out in Burbank. Therefore, I made a mental note to come here next time. Lo and behold, I got my opportunity. I popped in here for some much needed caffeine before getting back on the freeway. I'll do a follow up another time when I get the chance to sit down and enjoy their savory foods and pastries. For now, it's just a coffee review. For $4.50, the Mocha Latte was pretty good. The drink kept me well caffeinated and alert while being stuck on the freeway. Furthermore, it kept me warm and cozy since it also happened to rain that day. The Mocha Latte tasted light, creamy, chocolaty and it smelled nicely aromatic. Best of all, I loved that my barista, who had made me my drink wasn't stingy. He filled my cup full and added a cute heart design to it, aww! Service: The female cashier handling my transaction was nice and quick. My barista was great! I didn't catch his name, but he was a nice and sweet Hispanic barista - great service from preparing, to making, and finishing off my Mocha Latte, yay! Ambience & Decor: Woodsy, farmer chic interior. There's a huge giant rooster mural you can't miss, lol! Once you get your food and drink, they give you a placard number, and you set yourself. You then get your own napkins, utensils and water, while staff looks for your number and brings out your food. Overall, I'm definitely returning here to try out their yummy savory dishes next time. Staff was rude, didn't ask if I wanted my pastry warmed up, when I asked for it afterwards she rudely snatched it from my hand. I understand that with wearing masks it is harder to hear/talk to people but the cashier girl got upset when I couldn't understand her and literally annoyingly yelled it over. The coffee here is really tasty. You can tell that the quality is far superior to most coffee chains. I love their mocha, both iced and hot, not too sweet. I do wish they had larger sized drinks available to offset the price a bit and since I usually need more than a small cup to get me going. Service is nice, drinks made to order well and quickly. The space is cool, plenty of seating. They also have an assortment of sweet and savory treats, but I always just stick to the mocha. Worth checking out! read more

Food was really good! Line was very slow but the actual service of getting your food out was quite fast (around 3:30 ish)! The coffee was also good, but what will bring me back is the food. Coffee commissary is a cafe that is full of pretentious workers. I've been back multiple times to try and give it another go to see if I was the problem. There's this one worker who does not need to be the first person you see when ordering. He is very rude and the first question he asks is "what do you want". It seems as if the onboarding process did not teach how to give quality customer service because it makes me not want to tip the workers due to their lack of customer service. I would have given this place a 5 star review because the coffee is good, but the customer service makes me second guess going every time because I'm never in the mood to be belittled at 8 am! read more

I'm a self-proclaimed coffee cake connoisseur and the commissary's version is very good. it was moist, not too sweet and lightly glazed to top it off with chunks of apple spread throughout. good stuff! i found the rice krispie treat to be overpoweringly sweet. I like sweet stuff but i couldnt even finish this thing when i went to go eat it later that night... such a strong flavor of salted caramel. too much if you ask me. the coffee commissary is a nice, chill place to have a cup of coffee, a pastry or snack. i recommend checking it out. ample parking in their lot but plenty of parking on the street. bathroom is outside by the parking lot. price isnt too bad. paid $18.50 for 2 vanilla lattes, 1 coffee cake, 1 pecan turnover pastry and a salted caramel rice krispie treat. read more

The drinks are watered down and the barista doesn't know how to pronounce your name so when you're standing right next to the pick up area you won't even know your drink is ready. Then they try to educate you on what you ordered when you observe that it's made badly. I don't think they know what customer service is or being polite for that matter! Sometimes I feel like the barista is working a too relaxed shift, and conversing instead. Otherwise, the workers seem to be pretty friendly, and there's plenty of sitting space inside and out. Now, as for the food, you have an extensive menu that you may go gaga over. The Brisket Burrito is a deliciously power-packed way to start the day. They also have a unique menu offering things like Chicken & Pancakes- like, Chicken & Waffles, but... not. They have brunch favorites like brisket hash, protein bowls, french toast sticks, veggie burritos, egg scrambles, quiche, Eggs Benedict, salads, Herbed Chicken Sandwich, & even Banh Mi, which is pork belly, cucumber, pickle, jalapeño, & cilantro. They also have an impressive list of sides ranging from triple-fried potatoes to jalapeño slaw. Their pastry menu includes super rich chocolate chip cookies, brownies, deliciously moist & almost savory gluten-free olive oil cakes, brown sugar cakes, granola, & their popular Salted Caramel Rice Krispy Treat, which uses salted caramel instead of marshmallows; it's all pretty darn good. I ordered the pork belly burrito for lunch and had every intention of only eating half and save the other half for dinner so I would feel less guilty. I ended up devouring the whole thing bc it was so dang delicious. The pork belly was marinated to perfection with a little bit of a kick and sweetness to it. And instead of scrambled eggs they make it with sunny side up eggs (which I absolutely love) although it could get a little messy. He saw the disgusted look on my face and reached for gloves. He regretted that he broke their employee code of conduct to "never make eye contact with a customer" smh. Do yourself a favor & avoid this location. Walking in for the first time I thought it was a hip cafe with a very casual but nice interior. There's a good amount of chairs & tables, and lots of outlets and overall isn't a bad place. However, as my friend & I sat down with our drinks & opened our laptops to get to work, we noticed how loud the music was. It was probably playing above maximum volume because even though I put in earplugs, it sounded like I was normally listening to music. After spending 15 min or so trying to concentrate, we couldn't take the music blasting over our heads so my friend went up & politely asked a worker if they could turn the volume down a bit. The man (a tall white man in a cap) responded, "Truthfully, this is where the volume is at." Well truthfully, it sucks that we took the time to drive over to Burbank and wasted our $ on their establishment yet they couldn't do something as simple as to turn the music down a notch. Each cup of joe is an individual pour over and made with love. I took away one star because of their coffee selection. The day I went they had two choices and I was dying for some gasoline and asked for their darkest brew. The cashier said neither were dark they had one with berry notes and another with citrus notes. I can't stand acidic coffee. I like bold and smooth and the day I went I had to settle for light and acidic. It's ok though it was just the day's offering I'm sure they rotate different roasts in. I can tell the coffee was high quality though. $4 a cup it sure was. The salted caramel rice Krispy. Just get it. You will have a moment with it when you take your first bite. Just trust! The cookies are so good! It's not your ordinary cookie. They are thick and loaded with chocolate chips. Quiche was freshly made and warm. Tried their biscuit and was very disappointed to discover it was filled with bacon bits, as I loosely keep kosher. These are not labeled as a "bacon biscuit", just simply "biscuit". And the bacon bits blend right in with the biscuit's browned exterior, so I could not tell from the display case. A bit of bacon isn't a super big deal to me, but some people are much stricter with their dietary restrictions for religious or health reasons, and I wish they could be mindful of this. read more

I liked their Cubano, a little too much on the sweet side but very flavorful; their Cold Brew was like someone splashed iced cold water on your face a hundred times!! It definitely woke me up, super strong, a little too strong for me, but my family loved it. My favorite was their lavender matcha lemonade. Very refreshing and had a nice balance to it.
