Coffee gallery provides a great selection of coffee beans for all budget ranges. Don't forget to pick up a souvenir mug! My top favorites are pipeline blend and the Hale'iwa blend. My husband adores the north shore blend. And if you love espresso definitely get the ha espresso blend. Also - their granola is probably my favorite on the island. Tip - grab a açaí bowl at the shack sunrise shack and sprinkle some of this granola on it plus macadamia coconut peanut butter from north shore goodies. I promise you won't regret it! They always provide service with aloha! Every time I visited they always greeted us with a big welcome and smiles. And don't worry if you can't travel due to the coronavirus- they ship! Best blueberry cream cheese scones ever ! Every time I'm on the North shore I stop by to grab a few scones to take home. Whole blueberries and a cream cheese filling in the center, so gooooddddd! I'm usually a plain coffee drinker but, their "Lavender Latte" is perfect. You can actually taste the lavender and it isn't too sweet. read more

For discerning coffee drinkers, several things gone wrong here, but honestly it's probably the best option on this side of the island. I ordered an espresso and a cortado. I had to ask for a double (any coffee shop worth it's salt pulls double by default). So here's the good, they have their own house espresso blend with tasting notes they've identified. But that's where it ends. It sort of all goes south in the poor roast. Flavor could be much better if that was better-executed. Burnt charcoal flavor overwhelms what could be cocoa and honey and maybe a citrus finish. The cortado was more balanced and I could get the cocoa notes, but barely and it also finished with burnt bitter notes. Even the grind for my espresso wasn't dialed, leaving behind grinds in my cup (big no-no). Better luck next time. Finishing on a good note... the baked goods were really good. The gluten feee aloha granola bar thing was fantastic. Totally nailed it there. read more

Great place for a North Shore coffee break. A variety of coffees are roasted on-site, so you can buy it to carry home or have it shipped, or order online with a wide variety of international and locally grown (Hawaiian) coffees, to choose from. I also totally lover the caffeine molecule mugs and t-shirts. The baristas are very friendly here, and we love the baked goods, pastries, sandwiches, bagels, etc. Recommended: Wakey Wakey, Eggs & Bacee Scone and the Granola Bowl - add the fruit and yogurt. I remember coming to the Coffee Gallery in the 90s. I remember going here after a long day at the beach, or in the evening when the sun was setting its golden glow. This place has always had delicious coffee. And it still does. I bought the most amazing Kāu coffee there - to brew at home. And I am still dreaming of it. I also got a cute little mug to add to my collection. The floor has a mermaid mosaic. There are gifts and really high quality coffees to bring home. And a cup of joe is delish. This is a good stop. Great place! The coffee and treats are delicious and less cost that Starbucks (which is not in Haleiwa. Good for that so you can experience the best coffee on the North Shore. oh my gawd was the affogato perfect. I am self proclaimed coffee snob and this place is legit. I did not want to stop in because come on how good could it be in a small town on the North Shore. My wife won and I still didn't order Nothing for myself as my snobbery got the best of me. As I drove away I finally had a taste so she would guitar bugging me. The best thing about this coffee gallery besides the extensive menu offerings of various coffees, and homemade goodies with local flavors like lilikoi, mango, haupia, the best thing is the prices. Seriously, everything runs anywhere from $2 to $4 less than other cafes. I treated myself to a coffee drink with ice creme and it was only $3.50, it had a large scoop of vanilla and was delicious! There was a line of people, but line went fast. The line gives a customer time to scan the menu and have a look around their interesting gallery and even have a friendly chat with others standing in line. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Haleiwa. They have coffee floats for $3.00 and a bunch of other coffee/espresso drinks, all at okay prices. They also serve food like sandwiches and stuff, but I've never eaten there, so I can't say. If you know someone local who has an Entertainment Book, there's a coupon in there for buy one coffee, get one free. SInce I was by myself, and didn't need two, I asked if I could get some water. The girl was nice enough to give me two bottles. I would park in the shade to the right when you enter the parking lot. If you can, plan your trip to Haleiwa on an Aloha Swap Meet day (Sat/Sun/Wed), so that it's on our way up. The H-2 is way faster than the Kam Hwy (99), but you get to see little towns and stuff on the way. And you also pass the Dole Plantation if you go that way. I've only been there once and that was enough. I digress. Plenty of seating inside, although on a warm day it can be, well, warm inside. Only one table and a couple of seats outside. When I think of the Coffee Gallery, I usually don't think of how it looks now. The beautiful blues and almost Driftwood looking furniture from the most recent renovation (though it's absolutely lovely). I remember being a little girl watching the coffee beans being roasted in the front while I'm waiting to order. Then sitting with an orange dreamsicle getting to have the whipped cream off my mom's coffee and looking at the hand painted ceiling at all the different works wondering how they could paint such pretty pictures upside down. I can't go to the North Shore without grabbing a cup of coffee from here. I always order my drink with a little bit of whipped cream for the nostalgia of being a kid. The coffee is delicious, I usually get a coconut latte. However if I made my way up here too late and don't want to drink coffee then I get the pineapple shake or my childhood favorite. The baked goods are all wonderful however I have a certain soft spot for the cookie with a heart. I think it started when I was younger and just thought it was cute but now it seems wrong to not order one of those cookies. Sometimes I eat them right away and other days I save them to take for lunch for a special treat at work the next day. The Coffee Gallery is a staple of the North Shore and if you haven't been here it's definitely not someplace to miss. If it's not raining I suggest taking a few minutes to sit at the outside tables in the back to enjoy your coffee and remember what a beautiful place you live and if you're like me, to remember running around the same area with your cousins while your moms gabbed away. read more

Decided to cruise a bit more...Whenever I drive out to visit the Northshore must stop here for the MOCHA FREEZE. Its fantastic! Long ago in the OLD Shirokiya, there was a coffee kiosk which made delicious ,THICK, real ice cream, real ESPRESSO shakes. Took a while but who cares. It was great. My 1st mocha freeze here lived up to that. On repeat visits, not as thick, probably coz they're so busy, but still the best I have found. Others are always too sweet and syrupy. This is a cool little coffee spot on the North Shore. It's a more "put together" spot then some of the other establishments I've been to so far. That's the vibe here though, you want to go local. This place is the best of both worlds however. The service was great, the team is friendly, the place is nice and the coffee was delicious. I had an iced vanilla latte (my usual) BUT they have Bulletproof coffee here so they used their ingredients (bulletproof beans, MCT oil and grass fed butter) makes for a super yummy latte and it wakes you up and has you feeling super clear minded and full. They have a great assortment of little pastries and food. They had two choices of house coffee, a medium roast haleiwa and a bold roast pipeline. I grabbed the medium roast it was a smooth full flavor coffee. And they have an bomb acai bowl!! It's topped with granola bananas and honey! Theirs is the thickest acai bowl I've ever had, it eats more like a really dense sorbet but it was really good and hit the spot. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area! read more

Probably closer to 3.5 stars, but I am feeling froggy after a wonderful vacation. I'm a coffee snob, no way around it. I love really strong coffee and I wasn't finding much of that early in our trip. All of that changed when we hit the doorsteps at this cozy shop. It was a bit too hot to have a cup of coffee, so we went with the iced coffee special of the day. Iced hazelnut something or other. Very strong, nice sweetness and quite a bargain at $3.25. I was more comfortable making my own coffee at the hotel, even if that was a bit too high maintenance and we purchased the Haleiwa Blend, at a bargain price of $7.95 for 8 oz. Very nice beans, excellent strength and a hint of sweetness followed by pure, fresh roasted coffee goodness. I also picked up an 8 oz. bag of 100% Waialua Estate beans and literally just finished the first cup. Excellent cup of coffee indeed. The space is very well laid out. Small interior shop with product and a larger outdoor seating area coupled with a large covered area to keep you cool while you hang out or do some work on the lapper. read more

I got the lavender latte. It was recommended by the cashier. It was definitely intriguing but got used to the taste. It doesn't have a super strong milky taste. Has a light lavender smell not overpowering. Try it if you like lavender. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. As well as WiFi. We could spend all day here snacking on tasty drinks and pastries while working on our laptops. They have a spacious, screened-in patio surrounded by tropical plants. With the fast wifi and plentiful power outlets, it's the perfect place to get computer work done. The one creepy patron looking at questionable material on his laptop was the only downside. - Great macarons. Kinda steep at $2.50, but they're quite a bit larger than usual. They bake a new flavor each day, so wait till they bring out the new batch around noon. I've had the caramel, strawberry chèvre (see photo), and lavender strawberry chèvre. The lavender was the best! - My first acai bowl ever, $6. Was delicious, but I would have preferred a higher sorbet-to-granola ratio :) - As crazy ginger lovers, the ginger tonic was intense and lovely. - Mudslide smoothie is amazing. - The vegetarian pineapple chili was okay, not too impressive, and unfortunately they served it lukewarm. My son loved this place so much while vacationing him and his girlfriend went almost everyday for 3 weeks. I'm writing this review because I ordered something that they didn't have during covid. They sent out a bigger mug then what I ordered and when they got more of what I wanted in, they sent it out and surprised me with one. Talk about customer service.!! My friend and I stopped here on our way to a dive tour in Haleiwa Harbour and we are SO happy that we did. I eat have to gluten free and vegan, so I always worry when I travel about the next time I'll get to eat. The Coffee Gallery is so fantastic because not only is everything made in-house with fresh, delicious ingredients- but all items on the menu and in the pastry section are well labeled with allergens.
