Coffee Republic is located in a shopping center that has plenty of parking. There is seating inside as well as an outside patio with plenty of seating & patio umbrellas to provide some shade. It is a small eatery where you go up to the counter, look up at the menu, and order your food, drinks, coffee, and any baked items behind the case. After that, there is a self serve area where you grab your own utensils, napkins, and water. You then seat yourself and wait for the food to be delivered to you. I have to say that the food is on the pricier side considering my bf's and my food and coffee drinks totaled close to $40. The customer service at the front register was pleasant and the woman working there was very knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to modifying the meals to make them gluten free. All of the staff that we interacted with were pleasant. Our food finally arrived at our table after +30 minutes of waiting which I think is quite a long wait just for food. I don't know what took so long, but surely the burrito and deconstructed tri-tip burrito shouldn't take over 30 minutes. My bf's burrito came out hot, but my deconstructed burrito was cold. I am not one to complain so I ate the food anyway. I did enjoy the gluten free bread that replaced the tortilla burrito for my meal. It was actually really good for being gluten free. I was not a fan of the salsa that came with the burrito though. It was not your typical salsa. It had a weird unusual tangy taste to it. Other than that, my burrito was quite bland and unimpressive. My bf said his burrito was okay, but also tasted bland. The gluten free muffin that I got was okay. It was kind of bland too. I really need to invest in a thesaurus so I can mix things up instead of continuously repeating the adjective "bland." As far as the coffee drinks go, I did enjoy the iced mocha that I ordered. Overall, I think Coffee Republic would be a great place to go to just to get coffee drinks, but other than that, there are better places to go for breakfast. I've used plenty of AC power and free wifi over the years. it's the best of the best that Folsom has to offer - just on the Granite Bay, Orangevale not too far from Roseville side of the American River. Others have written about the exceptional outdoor seating. Is there better? I'd love to know where. In 19 years founder Bob L and his now manager/owner daughter Mindy have rarely spent any dough on marketing. that's because they have 12 diamond super-star service, exceptional food with quality, fresh ingredients and A++ coffee. Coffee Republic is full of great memories with family, friends and business associates. Sunny weekends outdoors with those unbelievable breakfast BLTs or a bagel with egg, turkey and avocado. can I have one now? I doubt it cuz I just ate a great pastrami on rye. some recommendations: - get here early on weekends, you'll compete for table with the biker crowd (that's the spandex kind with funny shoes) - Order a Pesto Turkey Melt, Ham, Apple & Brie Sandwich or the Apple Nut Chicken salad - any of these will guarantee a second visit. - meet a bunch of friends for breakfast or lunch here. I truly do like this place but loath actually coming here. They have great drinks & good food for breakfast & lunch, but the wait & customer service is unacceptable at times. I would suggest not to come here on Saturday mornings as it's more of a meeting spot for bikers & a meeting spot for just about everyone else in Folsom. You will have to wait forever to get your food. That being said, you would think coming in early on a weekday to grab a quick bagel & cream cheese wouldn't take so long... Wrong! I usually come in around 7am & then regret it as I am patiently waiting for my bagel & cream cheese. Don't get me wrong, I know everyone isn't a morning person. I will be the first to admit that I am not, but the speed that most of the female workers move at is disturbing. They walk around like zombies & actually look like they hate that you've ordered something. It's happened to me so many times, but what is making me write this review is in addition to how my bagel was served to me - with marker on it. The worker thought it was a good idea to write & poke through the foil. Non-toxic or not, if you're going to take almost 15 minutes to give me a simple order, then at least give it to me in good condition. "I get pretty excited when someone asks for a traditional macchiato" -Barista Yup he was genuinely excited making a traditional macchiato and so was I. The espresso was okay but i've been spoiled by Temple Coffee, Blue Bottle @SF, and Old Soul Weatherstone. Not every guy uses this word, but if i give this place one word it would be 'CUTE'. My friends told me, they make some awesome food, but didn't have the appetite to try some. Bottom line, service was above par and baristas were down to earth. Ill give this place another shot since the macchiato was kinda harsh. I wish they offered like coffee bean choices, but i should of asked. Came in on my lunch break just based on the reviews and was immediately greeted by the cashier and asked if I had any questions. I just ordered an ice coffee and a half of a hot turkey pesto melt sandwich. The sandwich was delicious I should have got the whole sandwich. The iced coffee was literally just cold coffee .I mean I guess I expected it to be flavored and sweetened up. You know like other places. IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I WOULD. Coming in on a Wednesday afternoon, and empty as can be with no one in line; ordered 2 bagels sandwiches along with 2 lattes to go! About 7 mins in, my lattes were ready, but still waiting on our bagel sandwiches to- go. Sitting there enjoying the amusing cards they have displayed, we waited patiently as a solid 30 min go by, then i asked the girl that took our order about our two bagels... She seemed confused and rude, basically forgot about my order... without even checking- she disregarded my order and just offered a refund... but i asked her if she could check if it was done? so she checked and... she said they'll be right out.... So we waited a few more minutes, then a guy finally comes out and had the audacity to tell us that she switched our bagels... (Ended up that she messed up my entire order ). I then replied to the man, that we waited there a ridiculously long time for 2 bagels when it was empty ... without no apology, no accommodation whatsoever! No reassurance or awareness about how long we were waiting there for our food... Horrible customer service! Lastly, I can assure you that i wont ever be coming back! The coffee was unimpressive (tasted like burned coffee) no foam and the cup they gave me had a huge chip on the rim. Cost $3.75. The atmosphere was okay not great. Staff is welcoming but not overly friendly. They don't take time to answer questions. Apparently it's more of a lunch spot, they have some delicious sounding teas. I didn't try any food or tea. Today I came in for lunch & I must say that all around I had a good experience. It was pretty busy (I should have called my order in advance, but last minute decided to grab something to eat) but I still got in & out of there in about 15 mins. For a crowded restaurant during I lunch time, I think that's pretty damn good! I ordered one of their lunch specials: the ham, nectarine & feta sandwich w/ a small house salad & OMG did I get a lot of food! I was able to eat it for lunch & dinner! The sandwich was amazing!!! There was ham, grilled chicken, balsamic glazed nectarines (I never would think to put nectarines on a sandwich, but it worked perfectly), melted feta cheese, red onions & an aioli of some sort. It was really really YUMMY!!!! GINORMOUS, but sooo damn tasty that I was able to scarfed down half my sandwich in one sitting (look at the picture, it was BIG). The price wasn't bad either $10.25 for my HUGE LUNCH! The staff was more friendly this time around & kept checking on me to let me know that my food was almost out. Coffee Republic was always my favorite coffee place. This place has a unique inside. They always have new coffee and tea flavors that I very much like. Their cakes are delicious and always fresh. Their prices of course had to go up a bit because of all these minimum wages going up, but that never stopped me from still coming here. On a hot summer day you can enjoy an ice cold white peach green tea! I can definitely say this is a place id recommend. read more

I got that....but it took a long time and there was no long line- just a couple people behind the counter who seemed to be moving rather slow. I went and got a breakfast sandwich at an adjacent bakery and when I returned my coffee still wasn't even started! How long does it really take to create an extra hot breve latte ? Not that long! Perhaps it was just a bad day or I really needed my coffee pronto! Favorite local gem!!! We have been here several times and the food is always great! Never a disappointment. Food is very fresh. Menu has a ton of unique combinations and the staff always offers to swap out a side if you prefer something else. Just right, healthy portions. -Classic BLT and Breakfast BLT is delicious. -Quiche's are also very good. -Salads are a super fresh and amazing! Atmosphere has a cool and relaxing vibe. Large outside area with umbrellas and today (Saturday), they had live low key jazz on the patio. Service has always been friendly. I got the Mango Lime Mint coconut tea. It sounded great but it tasted like none of those things. In fact it just tasted like unsweetened Lipton iced tea. It had a wilted mint leaf floating around in it and about a tablespoon of tiny coconut chunks. I guess I assumed the coconut would be coconut milk - like the Starbucks coconut drinks. A few weeks ago, I came here again -- I ordered one of the oatmeal specials, but half of the listed ingredients on the board didn't come with the oatmeal (which was why I ordered it in the first place). I get it, though. Sometimes restaurants mess up - it happens. Recently, it seems as though they are slowly improving with their service. The food it good, but the coffee is excellent. First experience. I ordered a white chocolate mocha online by accident. I meant to click on Mexican mocha. I called and told them about my mistake and the lady on phone was very polite and said she could correct it for me. Once I arrived my coffee was completed. Be careful in the parking lot... There's always plenty of cyclists/bikers who seem to have control of the lot ;-) just watch out for them. They're always nice though! Plenty of spaces to park. Now coffee..on this last visit, I ordered the Cappucino and my husband had the Irish white mocha. We dined in and our drinks were still served in paper cups! I know, I know big deal..but for a sit down breakfast (and price!) can't they serve it on regular cups? My coffee order here is always just average. I'm always so hopeful that I'd find the right one to order but I'm just not a big fan of the drinks so far! My husband loved the Irish White Mocha on the other hand. It was on the sweeter side which he prefers! Now food... The sandwiches here are always amazing. They are pricier but you get your money's worth as the ingredients are always fresh. Couple of my fave is the spicy sausage with Brie and the Mediterranean Sunrise. My sons love the grilled cheese- ham, Apple and Brie! This is delicious! The sandwiches are on the large side and well worth the price. The breakfast burritos can be made and stuffed the way you like it! Come here for the great sandwiches. Maybe we just come here at the busiest time (weekends with our boys) but they are not the friendliest bunch.
