Been going to Coffee Republic for many years. Always struggle to figure out my feelings about it. Sometimes the service was really good and sometimes really bad. Stopped going there for a while because I just couldn't tolerate the owner. Went there today and had a great experience ordering . Modest orders were $34 with tip. Not a problem. When my breakfast flatbed special order was delivered I asked for some salsa as I realized it needed to be spiced up a bit. The young lady delivering your order, said sure that's $.50 . So I have to get up back up get in line and pay $.50 for some salsa. I said no, thank you. Had no effect on her whatsoever. It'll be a while before I come back. read more

Tough to rate a shop after just one brief visit but they had iced coffee readily available which was oddly difficult to find last weekend in the Sacramento are-two other shops had none. It was darned refreshing in the heat!! read more

I got the warm ham, brie, apple, and cranberry sandwich and my husband got the barbecue tri-tip sandwich with their homemade potato salad... Can you say YUMMY.... We also got an ice soy latte. The sandwiches run between $10.00 to $14.00 dollars with a side salad or potatoe salad. The portions are good size. Parking is pretty good with some handicap parking close for those who need it. The service was pretty fast for a lunch time hour. Put your order in at front and they give you a number-stand to put on table and they will serve you when food is ready. Had very bad experiences the last two times we came here. Today I ordered the Turkey pesto melt and after taking a bite had my husband try it. After he took a huge bite he had green/blue all over his lips! I flipped the sandwich over and found the bread completely moldy! I immediately took it to the front and without saying anything more than "omg I'm so sorry" took it to the back to have it remade. The last time we were here I ordered the Turkey pesto melt and ended up with a bacon potato burrito... completely wrong order. Based on our personal experiences along with seeing/hearing others in the restaurant, there seems to be horrible customer service and mix ups at the front when ordering, and the kitchen staff aren't using fresh food and giving people wrong orders. Sadly, we will not be returning and will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

They also have a delicious selection of coffee and tea drinks to choose from. I ordered the ham, Brie and apple with spicy cranberry sauce sandwich on focaccia bread. The Brie was warm and melty. The employees are friendly but I felt like everything was overpriced. Their iced tea fruit infused drinks are really good but the drinks that I have trouble with are their iced coffees, they barely had any coffee flavor to it. What a nice little place to have breakfast! My friend and I took our dogs there to have a bite to eat. They had a nice patio area to sit at, of course spaced out due to COVID. I ordered a lox bagel and a iced mango black tea and they were both delicious! My tea didn't even have to be sweetened, it was perfect the way that it was. The lox bagel hit the spot, I got it on a cheese and jalapeño bagel. The patio area was clean and spacious enough for 3 dogs. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely coming back. read more

Rude customer service! I had a terrible experience at this place. I stopped by to eat here for the first time yesterday and discovered a piece of hair in their lemon avocado toast after almost finishing the whole sandwich. I didn't even intend to get a refund or exchange it, but rather bring it up to their attention. I walked up to the counter and showed the lady. I believe her name is Joey. At least that's what it said on the receipt when she took my order. After letting her know, I regretted doing so because when I brought it up to her attention she literally just shrugged it off and walked away. And showed no remorse, acknowledgment, or even an apology when I mentioned it. I wouldn't come back to this place or recommend anyone to do so. At least not from this bad experience! As a Lox & Bagel lover, I had to try it... honestly, I wasn't expecting much from a coffee shop and it seemed a bit pricey for what I was expecting. But, the gal at the register was kind and convinced me to try it. I have to say, I was impressed with the portion of all the ingredients, especially the salmon and cream cheese and the bagel was perfectly toasted... I was a happy-happy camper! The friend who came with me is a critic but she too enjoyed her meal and loves that she can bring her pup Trixi there! My friend, Trixi and I went back a few days later and was impressed once again with the food freshness, portion and price. Also, the selection and sizes of the beverages... so good! oh my goodness, i just absolutely love coffee republic. it only took one visit and i'm sold. first off, i absolutely love that their coffee is all organic. their coffee is SO smooth -- no burnt coffee taste here! just go ahead and do yourself a favor and get the large (& not make silly mistakes like me in getting a small). their drink options are totally family friendly and the variety of food options are enough for even the pickiest of eaters! i decided to try their pumpkin cream cold brew and it did not disappoint! the cold foam is so divine i'm drooling typing this out it's THAT good. honestly tastes like you're drinking a fresh baked pumpkin pie *insert drool emoji*. i love that it doesn't taste artificial and they use the best ingredients. to eat, i got the egg, cheddar, bacon, and avocado bagel sandwich. TONS of bagel options for everyone's taste buds. the owner, Renee, was extremely friendly and i love that she took the time to explain everything to me. i didn't feel rushed to get out the door, and i value that when i'm spending my money out! her staff are just like her; very kind and courteous. i also loved the plethora of outdoor seating. all the pups on the patio made for such a fun experience! absolutely will be returning to coffee republic and already looking forward to my next visit! read more

Came here today for the first time based on a coworkers recommendation. Husband and I ordered the Bistro BLT Breakfast Sandwich and the Tri Tip Breakfast Burrito. Firstly, the bread was the overly toasted kind that you know is going to scrape every inch of the inside of your mouth with each bite. Ironically I was saved from this because on the second bite of my sandwich I discovered paper that must have been stuck to the cheese that went in my sandwich. I don't like sending food back so I just split my husband's burrito with him which also tasted overtly like liquid smoke. I wish I would've at least taken a picture of the paper though. Safe to say we won't be returning customers. Additionally for two drinks, a sandwich, burrito, and muffin our total was $56. Not worth the price for something you can make better at home. This place was so disappointing I now have trust issues with the coworker who recommended it to me. read more

Since they have the best bagels and their Mexican mocha is great, it was time to give Coffee Republic another chance or few. I haven't done their online ordering but, I've been in person on a few occasions now. The wait time from when you order versus when you receive your food or drink is not nearly as long as it use to be. Then of course you get your coffee sooner than the food. Their Mexican mocha is good and not too sweet. It tastes like Mexican hot chocolate mixed with espresso. I still feel that they have the best bagels. Their bagels are better than those from major chains. The breakfast burritos and sandwiches are all delicious. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of the 5 stars is because recently there's now a charge/fee when you use your card as a form of payment. Businesses should absorb this cost since it's a business expense, a tax write off, and most of my generation never carries cash. Lol read more

Very nice efficient workers but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was poor. The patio area smelled like urine and garbage. Figured I'd give them a chance if the interior was clean. I was told that there is a new owner, by the supposed new owner. I was told to try it again. I was driving by and thought I would give it a try (around 2:30 on Saturday November 4th. There were no people inside. I walked in and a girl behind the counter saw me, didn't acknowledge me, and went to clean something and walked away. I awkwardly stood there, looking at the expensive prices on the menu. Then two more girls standing back in the kitchen saw me and said nothing. I stood there for almost 2 minutes with no acknowledgment and then decided not to waste my money there. I didn't get any food, but it didn't feel like a things changed. My wife has gone to coffee republic for years and have always had a great experience! But, today she had a terrible experience. She ordered hot coffee and they gave her iced coffee. She ordered the bacon onion quiche and it had ham in it. She told the server and she disregarded what she had said. In addition, we had ordered 2 sides of bistro sauce at the register. When we were provided our meal he said we charge extra and that we did not order it(we have never been charged for it). The server who delivered our food was disrespectful and rude. Yummy coffee spot with a variety of breakfast / brunch options too! Ample parking as it's located in a strip mall. Lines can get long on weekends, so I recommend arriving early! Occasionally there's live music, which adds to the pleasant ambiance. I subtracted a star because the service takes quite a while - they need a few more baristas :) Also - they should really remove the Arbonne display by the pick-up counter. Coffee Republic has been a local haunt of which we are long time customers. It saddens me to say that we wont return any time soon, especially since it's so close. Nor will we recommend it. We frequently order sandwiches to-go and of late, they have been egregiously disappointing. I've refrained from leaving reviews before in hopes that the poor quality and errors were the result of an off day. Unfortunately, this has occurred more than once, with today being the worst. The picture from the online menu was nothing like the sandwich I got. The online description more accurately matched the sandwich I received; however, the sandwich itself was inedible. Apples are a main ingredient and I was shocked to find that there were only two tiny slices of bruised, brown, and rubbery apples on each half of the sandwich. Additionally, the herbed focaccia was too thick and overwhelmed the sandwich components with its size and contrasting potent flavors. The side salad didn't even save this disaster of a sandwich because it was drowning in dressing. I attempted to speak with a manager to let them know how terrible it was so that they can correct their menu. I was told that a manager was not present and will not be until noon the following day. I prefer to give a business the benefit of the doubt having worked in the food service industry myself, but this experience called for a review. I hope they update their online menus and ensure that their customers receive quality food. read more

First time visiting this establishment the staff are friendly and welcoming. They have a condiments area for milk, sugar and ice water. The seating area is clean and spacious. For drinks we had Macha latte and Tiramisu latte which were excellent. We ordered the So Cal burrito and Urban BBQ Tri tip sandwich. The burrito was excellent, they use real scrambled eggs along with spiced sausage as the protein. For the tri tip sandwich, they use foccacia bread and good portion of meat. The bread was toasted perfectly, the pepper jack cheese was a great addition and the bourbon sauce completed the sandwich as it tasted perfect. read more

My sister actually said something about ordering here and I've been craving breakfast burritos so naturally I was curious. I saw they offer curbside service and got extra excited. I ordered the tri tip breakfast burrito no salsa with very little hesitation, only because I'm usually a budget person. I also got a black mango tea that I sipped before I left and it was fantastic! Got my burrito home and devoured the first half and found myself sad I was too full to carry on. I told my husband he could have the second half and it was still nice and warm for him. He is picky as heck but he finished it no problem and said "That was really good!" He texted me while he worked and asked when we're getting another burrito, hah. However, while looking for lunch options, I ran across Coffee Republic as an option for sandwiches and salads. I got tired of going to Panera , paying ridiculous prices , and leaving disappointed. I was able to convince my wife to give Coffee Republic a try today , and I am pissed that I haven't tried it sooner. I opted for the Cilantro turkey crunch sandwich , and it was amazing. For $9.95, the sandwich was piled high with pepper turkey, Swiss cheese, cilantro, lettuce, red onion, sprouts, and honey mustard. The flavor combination of honey mustard and cilantro set this masterpiece apart from your ordinary run of the mill turkey sandwich. This sandwich was flawless , and I will have a tough time trying anything else on my next visit. My wife chose the Asian chicken salad for lunch , and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to sneak a bite of the salad - when she wasn't looking of course. The dressing to salad ratio was perfect, and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. No wilted lettuce, fatty chicken , or stale almonds in this salad. The parmesan cheese was a nice touch , and the crunchy noodles added a nice texture to the salad. Again--perfection! Coffee Republic has plenty of seating inside the restaurant , and additional outdoor patio seating for those sunny afternoons. I have nothing negative to say about this place . I am thrilled that I discovered ( thanks to yelp) a can't miss place to enjoy great food in a welcoming environment. I love the food here... most of the time the customer service is great. The last 4-5 times I've went I've been upset leaving. The food prices don't match their online menu and the portions are very minimal. I got a $17 tri-tip sandwich and there was barely any meat on it... I will admit the food quality is great, but for the price and the portions that are drastically downsized, it's not worth the ticket.
