I get that people drop ice cream - it's just a part of the process, but the front always looks sticky and in dire need of a good scrub. I'm rather simple when it comes to ice cream so don't like a lot of chocolate or tons of toppings. My favorite go to is mint ice cream with chocolate chips in a waffle bowl cone. It's delicious, creamy and just enough chocolate for my liking. Waffle cone was nice and fresh. My sister ordered the berry me in batter with. Strawberry cake batter, strawberry wafers, Carmel and whipped topping in a chocolate dipped waffle cone bowl. She loved it! The staff was very friendly and patient. We tried a few flavors before selecting what we wanted. There was no line and the restaurant was pretty clean except for some napkins that blew around outside in front of the store. read more

When you approach a place and the outside sidewalk hasn't been washed down, the entrance rugs are filthy, the floor looks like it hasn't been swept and the baseboards look like they belong in a dairy barn, well, not encouraging on what the back looks like where they store food and utensils you can't see. My son wanted a birthday cake from this place and they messed it up. The cake looked like a TODDLER got a hold of red icing and decorated it! OMG!! The icing was runny and unappetizing! I thought that the young girl knew what she was doing, she got red icing all over my sons cake that we paid $50 for. I asked beforehand before handing her the cake and she confidently said that she can decorate it with Happy Birthday. Never Again! I could tell she messed up because it was all over the cake plastic cover too! She didn't even bother to clean it up or wipe it off. Don't waste your money here, you will be disappointed. Stopped in tonight, October 16, 2022 around 7:30pm. Trash all over the ground outside of the door and upon entering, a very heavy sour smell, like the mix of sour dairy and vomit, was very prominent. Very dirty inside and just doesn't seem like cleanliness is a priority. Turned around and walked out without ordering because of how disgusting the place was. I do not recommend this location, unless it were to be closed for a deep cleaning and better employee training for how to keep up with the cleaning. The two young ladies making our orders were not attentive to what we wanted. We each asked for strawberry cheesecake icecream. They tried to add strawberry icecream to the cheesecake icecream, when we asked for actual strawberries. Then, they lied to my friend saying they didn't have Graham crackers. But when I followed with my order, they said they had to get them from the back. The lady who made my friend's icecream had an attitude. I decided that Cold Stone was the move, the staff was great at preparing my luxurious sundae, they made sure to add the extra pecans, and some nice caramel that I requested. I give two stars instead of one because the ice cream and cakes are generally very good. However, the cleanliness of the Manassas location seems to be seriously lacking. On two separate occasions I have found significant amounts of hair in something I bought (once in an ice cream mixture, and another time in an ice cream cake). On another occasion, the ice cream mixture was such a pulpy, over-mixed mess that it was inedible. I generally love Cold Stone, but I've had a few too many negative experiences at this location, that I plan on avoiding it in the future. When we got there we waited in line, there were 3 people working here and the other two were busy helping others but the other young lady just looked at us then walked away. So we went to Cold stone Creamery on Thursday in Manassas 7/17/2020 for the first time. When we entered the music was so loud the staff could not hear what we ordered so they just got louder over the music to see what we wanted. We got two Strawberry milkshakes and we were asked if we wanted cream on top of them.We said yes. We watched this kid who probably this was a summer job for him make the milkshakes and then get the fresh cream to add to the top of their milkshakes after the lids were put on. So then he got the cream to put on the milkshakes and he made a huge mess. So when my husband and I started to drink the milkshakes we both spitted them out as they were warm when they should of being cold. The shop was dirty and no body cared. We could see from the outside that there were three workers, two girls and a guy and it looks as though the girl had seen us and locked the door but little did we know she unlocked it and my boyf went in and they turned him away because of "lack of activity."
