Mainly because it just feels like thing here are slightly overpriced for what you get. Everything here is good quality and taste great, but it just feels like more of a treat than your average ice cream shop. I didn't see who it was because I was reading on my phone. The guy behind the counter went to the back with the 2 people behind me. Nobody bothered to help me then. Here comes the little Egyptian manager from the Van nuys lake Balboa store. I had an issue with prior at the lake Balboa store because his female employee, which was the other person that walked into the store verbally attacked me because of a bad review I gave them so I walked out so I started going to this store. Guess what? They're there now, according to him. I asked him, are they at the Van nuys store, he said yes, I said. Wow, then I'm gonna have to find another store. He says Go go find another store. I'm waiting for someone to help me, nobody helped me. He, the Egyptian manager, comes out. Do you want ice cream or are you gonna go? I said I would like to get my ice cream and then I will go. He didn't even ask me what I wanted? I said I want the quart with 4 cookie. He said we don't have cookie doughs, go find another store. This is poor customer service, this guy needs to be fired. i wish i can give it zero stars, the building is under new management because the owner is at the front and WONT stop talking about it. every worker that was kind and remembering my order in the past seem to be gone and replaced with people with horrible customer service. a man yelled NEXT like i was an animal. the cakes under this new management are abysmal and no where near the same quality, also open till 2am now ? talk about a safety hazard especially in the northridge area. the place looks dirty, flies all over the place, melted ice cream and horrible customer service. Apparently the location is under new ownership.... it's very obvious. The store looks very unorganized and the staff is so slow. I love coldstone and was very disappointed when I had to wait a very long time instead of the few minutes that I'm used to. The staff is not great and does not work as a team, making service extremely slow, after a bad day you just want some ice cream not to wait in line for 20 mins! The quality of the ice cream, cakes, and service has gone down greatly and im very very disappointed, happy ice in Northridge has become my new favorite sweet treat spot!!! read more

Was not greeted at all once Walked in. There were 2 workers, one boy with curly hair and a girl worker who was wearing a NY black dad hat with long lashes. Once again, was not greeted by both workers. The girl worker had seen me looking at her, but no smile, no nothing and said, "I can start your order" given by an attitude type of way. She was not about customer service and I get it, it's almost closing time & cleaning and closing needs to be done, but what can you do, you have no control when and what time people are going to come in. If you're going to be in customer service, you are the face of the store, and first impressions are always going to be seen by the people who walks into the store wanting to get a little treat. I love Cold Stone but this location was just not up to the standards of other Cold Stones I've been to. There was a line forming and only one person working. What's worse is the line was forming without order. One couple tried cutting me off. They really need to add some stanchions here (portable posts to manage lines). It's a tiny Cold Stone so it might not even fit inside there. When it was finally my turn, I was told they don't have black cherries here. Every Cold Stone I've been to has had black cherries, except this one. I thought I'd try something else but they were out of chocolate cones. Needless to say, I left empty handed. That was just very disappointing. If coming here, call ahead to see if they carry everything you want on your ice cream. Plenty of parking spots shared with all of the other stores nearby. The place smelled so strong like fabuloso cleaner and throw up. Even my wife who can't smell well said it smelled bad. After paying $27 for three ice creams we discovered the waffle cone actually tasted like fabuloso cleaner, it made us want to throw up (which may be why the inside smelled like throw up). It's a shame because other Cold Stone locations don't have this problem. They need to learn the correct ratio for their cleaning products. Love this place!! Everyone is always so welcoming and willing to give samples. Calvin (I remember him because we have the same name LOL) was so helpful and friendly. He helped my girlfriend and I choose ice cream because they all tasted sooo good. You have to try the banana made with real bananas, one of the most underrated flavors. I got it with almonds and fresh baked brownie. My girlfriend got the sweet cream with chocolate shavings and chocolate sprinkles. 10/10 A-mazing I'm definitely coming back whenever I crave some ice cream. I came here for dessert on Saturday night. I found parking pretty quickly. There was a bit of a line when I came in, but it went through in about 10 minutes. There were two groups of at least 4 before me. I ordered a Strawberry Blonde, my favorite! I was kinda bummed they ran out of the whip topping. I went to cold stones and got there 7 mins before they close, the door is still open because they should still be serving ice cream, I walk up to the door and the first thing that is said is we're closed. Come back the next day, no line and I open the door you have one guy standing up no mask on touching his hair, one gentle men sitting for the counter on his phone and one girl standing doing something. This is my go-to Cold Stones because I live in the area. This location allows 4 people in the store at a time. I have 4 kids. They would not allow my kids to come in with me and order because of that rule. They also told me to "Call corporate if you don't like it" I understand that rules differ during this time, but my children were masked up and made sure to social distance with others around.
