    Photo cake

I have ordered photo cakes from the Tanforan Cold Stone multiple times in the past with no issues. Because that location was temporarily closed, I ordered from this location instead and unfortunately the experience was completely different. I placed my photo cake order on Thursday for Saturday pickup, which meets the 24 hour advance requirement. The issue was communication. The Cold Stone website does not list an email where photos can be sent, unlike other locations such as Tanforan. On Friday noon I began calling the store to get an email address to submit the image. I called multiple times throughout the afternoon but no one answered. They finally picked up in the evening, at which point I immediately sent the photo and followed up asking if the dimensions were acceptable. I never received a confirmation. When I picked up the cake on Saturday, the photo was printed very small instead of full cake size, which completely defeated the purpose of ordering a photo cake. When we called to address the issue, the manager was rude and dismissive, told us there was nothing he could do, and refused any refund or resolution. He also claimed the issue was that I should have ordered 24 hours in advance, which I did on Thursday, and I attempted to communicate as soon as they opened Friday but no one was answering the phone. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service was unacceptable, especially for a special occasion. I would not recommend ordering custom cakes from this location.

Coffee milkshake with almonds and brownie pieces was it really good treat after a good hike in Pacifica. The problem was a service here was horrible. When I saw the girl scoop just a few almonds into the milkshake blender I asked for a little bit more and she charged me for two extra scoops. Yet, when I watched a couple of teenagers that she knew come in later on and ask for extra Cookie Dough Bites I look to see if she charge them extra and she didn't. If you're going to charge people for extra items make it consistent and don't play favorites.

I love this location - it's convenient, great service and plenty of selection. The ingredients always seem fresh and I love all the mix-in options! My only suggestion would be to have more dairy free options other than sorbet/sherbet. They have remained open during this time of "Shelter in place" which is awesome, and I was happy that they take Apple Pay so I didn't have to touch anything!

The food was amazing. The owner is super friendly and resourceful, way better menu than the Daly City location.

The ambiance is very much take out, there is a small bench to sit on and two chairs next to a trash can. In my opinion this business is best enjoyed along with a walk!

And he asked me if I was stressed out about my father adding ice cream to his Thai ice tea. I thought that was funny, he turned my really bad day into a wonderful day. I felt way better. The topping bar has a great balance of fruit/jellies/mochi and chocolate/decadent/cereal. Some flavors have been overly tart or sweet (cake batter, for one), and it is a detriment that no sampling is allowed, which makes me nervous to try other flavors. The environment is really nice with a fair amount of seating. At the same time, there is great seating in the mall hallway or the nearby pond. Service hasn't been an issue, with the space being quite clean and toppings filled. Prices are a tad on the high end, but for the quality yogurt, it is a great stop.

The frozen yogurt is self-service, with a variety of flavors available, including Dutch Chocolate, Very Strawberry, Cake Batter, Alphonso Mango, Vanilla Bean, Cookie Monster, Taro, Original Tart, Passion Orange Guava, and Watermelon. I selected a few different flavors and added toppings such as blueberries, strawberries, and mangoes. The mixed frozen yogurt was good, but I can't say I liked it that much because I generally prefer ice cream. For two orders, the total came to about $16 (priced at $0.89 per ounce), which felt a little expensive to me. Overall, it was nice to try, but I would probably choose ice cream over frozen yogurt.

The term Bay Area has been a confusing term for outsiders. The Bay sounds like it's close to San…read moreFrancisco but it could be miles away. It's easy to say I'm in the Bay when you don't live in San Francisco. The Airports can be confusing for a visitor looking to travel from and to SFO Airport in San Francisco on the same place where you can enter the Golden Gate Bridge or Bay Bridge. Then there is the Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport which causes more mass confusion especially for those catching BART from and to the Coliseum in Oakland. There is one BART stop along the way which you can go to SFO and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport it's the San Bruno BART station. This is a good place for a pit stop along the way . When traveling by car there is plenty of parking and the shopping mall . Inside you will find a place with sweet and sour ice treats. It's located inside Tanforan Mall and it's called San FRoYo On my last stroll to Barnes and Nobles bookstore at Tanforan which is closing this Saturday on May 2 for good, I went to San FRoYo because the Starbucks and Cheesecake Factory mash up inside Barnes and Nobles is shut down forever. Inside San FroYo you can choose to get sweet and sour lemonade , smoothies and self serve frozen yogurt in a cup. I got fancy vanilla froyo topped with purple taro. The fancy vanilla was not too sweet but the top of purple taro was a bit sour. All that was missing was the cherry on top ( they ran out of cherries). Since I just watched the Michael Jackson movie I selected from the Smooth Criminal Smoothie Menu and got the Mango and Peach Paradise. It was refreshing and tasty with a bit tarty. This place is good to hide from the rain or sun and enjoy something refreshing. Remember San FroYo is located in San Bruno ( not the Avenue in SF) and not in SF. Visit Tanforan mall before it closes and come by car, motorcycle, bus, BART, feet , and"scooters" you can even catch Lyfts and "Ubers" I miss those days when the mall was thriving and busy seeing people hanging in groups and even spot some "Army recruiters" and I miss the days when they use to have a "Hooters" Barnes and Nobles by next week will be gone in Tanforan and this happened to a Creamery called "Cold Stone" so I went to to get FroYo at San FRoYo its only serve in a cup and not a "cone" Tanforan in the future will turn into a Biotech office , retail, and housing also known as a "Flex Zone" but you will see airplanes in the sky from SFO like the one recently which dodged a "drone"
