Ordered ice cream online for pickup (with tip added) and put in the notes that we wanted them to sing at the pickup as a surprise for my friend. They didn't. Get the ice cream home and it's not even mixed together properly? We paid $10 to get the chocolate Dubai ice cream with EXTRA cream and crunchies... there are practically no cream and no crunchies. If this is "extra" then regular must be a pea sized dollop. I didn't mind the price if the ice cream had been chopped together like they normally do in-store and had their proper portions on it. Let me start by saying my phone auto correct has me sounding ridiculous. Lackluster at best is my review as my icecream always seems to be undermixed and melty. I can go in the winter or middle of the summer and it's the same. I can remember when stone cold took pride in mixing their ice cream and piling up the goodness but those days are long gone. Decided to stop and grab a quick ice creme after grabbing dinner in the Area. We were greeted as we entered and as we looked on the menu Payton spoke to us telling us when ever we're ready he'll be happy to help us. We ordered a founders favorite and a strawberry shortcake( isn't on the menu anymore) The only issue we had was that the pecans in the founders favorite were on the stale size. Both ice cremes were tasty and well portioned. The restaurant needs a bit more of a tidy thru out the night. I noticed that it looked a bit messy behind the counter like if employees didn't really clean as they go. The waffle makers were kinda of a mess and the toppings counter needs a wiping every now and then. Overall It was a good ice creme and the customer service was good. read more

I've been to a Modesto cold stone recently and had the worst service so it really makes me appreciate when I get awesome service. The workers here are always so kind and talkative. I had a guy the other day (future nurse) and a female today that was beyond sweet. The female was talking so much to my son and I wish I got her name to add it to this review. Little interactions like this really make me feel comfortable about coming again. Awesome flavors abound! And nice helpful young folks work here! I was intrigued by the ads on the windows for the mint fudge ice cream and had to go inside and try it. Once inside I noticed they had all kinds of flavors that are right up my alley. With cinnamon, coconut, mint fudge, and dark chocolate flavors available it was difficult to choose! Usually my favorites are seasonal and not all available to me all at once! What is a girl to do here?! Update * the owner contacted me the next day and apologized. I get the sense that this is not the type of service he thrives for. Very friendly and understanding owner. I usually have pleasant visits here with my family but tonight there was an extremely rude employee. As soon as I entered the employee greeted me with a sarcastic "Hi??!" As if To say what are you doing here? My daughter needed to use the restroom so my husband got in line to order for us, I start heading towards the restrooms and almost immediately notice they're closed so I turn back around to head back in line. This same employee says "you can't use the restrooms here" (understandable with COVID precautions) . I reply " yeah, I noticed they're closed". When it's our turn to order, as we're walking to the counter this same employee is at the counter waiting for us. The entire time she is giving me a nasty glare and would not break eye contact. My husband starts to order and she's not even paying attention to him because she continues to glare at me. I nudge my daughter to tell her to order, but when I see her attitude remained the same; I had enough. I tell her "you know what? Just forget it." And we left. I'm not sure what her issue was but it definitely felt we were not welcome there. read more

This place was pretty busy, as there was 3 people behind the counter and a 4th one restocking. I was 3 in line, and two couples were in front of me. It took about 6-8 min to get to me. The customer service was ok. They didn't ask if I wanted to sample anything, didn't smile, and the portion sizes... Oh man. So I ordered two like it sizes. I wish I would have taken a picture but I was in hurry to keep on my travels. But image the like it cup and qtr inch below that :( yup that was my like portion...and that's with 3 mix ins (peanut butter, marshmallow cream, and almonds. We did a mobile order on 1/16/21 via the Cold Stone app as we live about 15 minutes away. We picked up the sealed bag, and upon opening our order, we found that they forgot our waffle cone bowl. I left feedback via their official website, seeking a refund for the bowl. The next day, I received a personal phone call from the manager who apologized on behalf of his staff, and offered more than I had asked for. He sincerely cares about his business and customers. My boyfriend's family ordered a cake from here for a birthday. The birthday "boy" found a cake he wanted online and his mom asked if they could make it. They did and it was divine! There are so many flavors and toppings to pick from.The ice cream was chewy after they mix it on the "cold stone" and I love combining ice cream flavors. My favorite combos are the coffee & cheesecake with toasted almonds or the cake batter & strawberry with a brownie. Yummers! Great location, right next to other restaurants. Very clean, watched them clean off tables inside and outside right when people got up to leave. And it wasn't some old, over-used wet rag. Jason was working and he did an AMAZING job reassuring me despite my lack of planning that we were welcome. The trainee Riz at this location threw me off a bit when I had to repeat myself a few times on what exactly I wanted in my ice cream because he was very in tune with the conversation he was having with other workers. Whatever it was, was so important that in the middle of mixed my ice cream he stepped away to finish the conversation and came back shortly after. What really threw me for a surprise is when one of his fellow team members messed up a customers order and when he returned with new ice cream he said to the customer "no mess up's" to kind of make light of the situation. This is when Riz says "he's going to mess it up again" now although that may seem small , it shows a lack of team work and support. I was disappointed with his lack of attentiveness in regards to customer interaction , I should not have to repeat myself more than 3 times.
