I've always loved Yogurt Mill up until recently. Their froyo is great and the customer service has been good as well. Earlier this week my 10 year old ended up with what appeared to be a piece of glass (could have been plastic but it felt and looked more like glass) inside her mouth while having her chocolate froyo. Luckily, she felt something weird and took it out and didn't swallow it. I did contact the store and was given a giftcard which I do appreciate. After looking at other reviews here on Yelp I came across a customer who found a screw in her child's order. This prompted me to share my experience as well because it seems like there may be something flawed in their process. We ordered yogurt mill through door dash and it was sealed bag. When my daughter was at the end of her açaí bowl she took a spoon fool in her mouth and felt something hard against her teeth. She pulled out a little screw nail. A tiny nail that she could of swallowed and died from. Yogurt mill needs to do better in checking their machines for loose screws. I'm beyond myself right now. We got gift cards for Christmas and have gone twice and have had issues both times. Employees need to pay more attention to detail to ensure orders are accurate. The first time I ordered an Xl and 2 mediums. My daughter asked for wild strawberry. We left and in the car I realized the receipt said chocolate covered strawberry. I asked her to try it and sure enough, it was wrong and she ended up not caring for that flavor. Today I ordered on the app. We did 3 pineapple acai bowls and 1 rainbow. I noticed they used really green bananas for my bowl. We got in the car and I gave my daughter hers, she asked for no granola. As I was driving, I noticed hers was missing strawberries. Turned around and when we walked in, no one was on the floor. I asked them to add strawberries and it was a different girl and she apologized. She added agave snd confirmed no granola to make sure it wasnt missing. I gave it back to my daughter and she said it didn't have agave the first time now that she can taste it on it. Got home and gave my husband and other daughter their bowls and they were both missing the sliced almonds. Not sure what happened, but that's 2 of the 3 bowls with missing components. I know that the customer service is very horrible and long wait times even when there's no one in there but last night I went to get an açai bowl for dinner and I was not even greeted after standing there for approximately 15 minutes, there was at least six employees working not one greeted me and left me standing there while they all laughed and talked with each other so I went next-door to vitality Bowl, where I was greeted instantly and waited no longer than five minutes for my food so so long yogurt mill! read more

Let me preface this with the fact that it's Valentine's day and they're doing a buy one get one free special. Taking that into account, our yogurt was definitely not frozen enough. It was loosely chilled soup in the vague shape of fro yo. I'm not particularly mad about that, the employees have no control over how fast their machines freeze. So minus one star for that. However, with a line out the door inside and a line around the building and across the parking lot in drive thru, the ladies working the floor tonight were killing it! Ladonna served us tonight and she was super friendly, even took her time to greet us regardless of how busy they were, she made our evening fantastic. I will not be returning to this store. This is the 4th time I have gone in and the line is to the door with only 3 people working. The poor workers seem so stressed trying to help everyone quickly. They had 1 person working long door dash orders, 1 person working drive thru, and 1 person helping the customers in the store. They are severely understaffed the last 4 times I have gone in. It is ridiculously obvious yogurt mill does not care about their employees or customers or else they would schedule more workers in the evening so it won't be so packed with long wait times to get help. This was a very unpleasant experience from the moment my grandson and I walked in. When I was trying to give the order, the young lady kept walking away in the middle of me trying to tell her what we wanted. The yogurt was runny and melting over within seconds, and this is never like this at the other Yogurt Mill on Roseburg in Modesto. When it comes to froyo, this place is pretty average as it gets. Unlike any other froyo joint it has a drive-thru which is super convenient and something I've never seen before. Although when I was getting in line, I realized that the Little Caesar's drive-thru almost interjects between the Yogurt Mill line! If there's too many cars trying to get yogurt, whoever goes to Little Caesar's could get stuck for a while. Not something that really affects customers for Yogurt Mill, but definitely a questionable decision in engineering the drive-thrus. My girlfriend and I ended up getting Chocolate Mousse and Chocolate Vanilla Swirl in small which was around $11.65. The Chocolate Mousse really reminded me of the chocolate Costco yogurt, so it really didn't taste like anything unique. The portion size was a lot larger than I expected for a small which was nice. If you're in the Turlock area and don't have any other alternatives for frozen yogurt, Yogurt Mill is a decent option. read more

Love coming to yogurt mill. It's so cool how you can get your froyo through a drive through! Service is always friendly. It's a cute little place to hang out. Indoors and outdoor seating is available as well as outside heaters. I like to get their cake after flavor froyo with cheesecake bites. I also get child's size since they load it up. So my complaint isn't the yogurt. When YM have pineapple froyo, YM can't do no wrong. Plus now they have color changing spoons. WHAAAT! Haha. My issue and it might not be an issue but a mistake. I was asked if I was having my yogurt for here or to go. Is there a sales tax for eating my yogurt on premise? I was charged six cents which is nothing but is this a frivolous extra charge YM sneaks in? If so I have a big issue with that. I'm not cool if they're trying to sneak in extra $ to line their pockets from hard working people. Let's be real, my 8 dollar yogurt sales tax should have been more so I don't think it's for the true sales tax. I don't know. Look at the receipt and you be the judge. To start the service and product is great here. I live down the street and come with my family frequently. I love being able to even get the dogs a treat as well. The reason for this rating is I went today and wasn't able to tip the staff. What? Apparently the company changed their policy and you can no longer tip the staff. Why? Tipping isn't required but for people in the service industry it can be a little extra especially when you give great service. I attempted to contact this company via email but there is no "contact us" link on their website. I have a hard time respecting a company that won't allow me to decide if I want to pay more for something. I've always ordered yogurt mail and had it delivered. The other day I went in. I don't recommend this. The day I went in, or the night I went in I should say. There were four people working in the drive-through and one guy at the counter. There was one girl working DoorDash. The line in the restaurant was long. We waited 15 minutes in this line. The guy taking orders for the drive-through we take an order and then sit on the counter. Meanwhile, the guy working the counter for the in person orders was making items, and the register. The things that totally grossed me out were that the guy that made my yogurt also rang up my food and went back to make more food. Never washing his hands. The bins were all the food were a hot mess. Food was everywhere. One of the girls went to put chocolate in a yogurt cup, and missed and chocolate went flying everywhere. Everywhere, into other containers. So if you ordered gummy bears, there was a good chance that chocolate would've been in there also. The guy taking orders at the drive-through and take an order and then sit on the counter and do nothing. I'm not sure why he could go over and help the guy working in the counter. I found that disturbing. I also found it disturbing that his butt was on the counter. Overall, the health department really needs to do a drop by one night. read more

Today I went to pickup some yogurt and encountered the rudest employee I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her name was I believe Santya or Sanya I wasn't able to see her name tag clearly. She was extremely short on the speaker wouldn't give you time to tell you what your total order was and sounded like she didn't want to be there or deal with people and it wasn't even busy only 3 cars.
