AC died in the middle of the night. They came out the next morning and said my unit was too old…read morerepair (just over 20 years old), while ripping out something from the power box and seemingly breaking a component in there. They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). Thinking I would get an answering service or have to wait for a call back, Danny picked up the call and after a quick conversation scheduled a same day appointment to assess the issue first hand. Overall experience was great, Danny provided full explanation on what type of equipment my condo has. He clearly understood how old my equipment was and quickly identified areas that needed attention and suggested appropriate fixes in addition to diagnosing my emergency issue - bad blower. Never once did Danny try to up-sale me on items I did not need. Even up to the very end of the appointment, after completing testing checks we found an issue with low amounts of cold air return to furnace, it was due to not many return air vents throughout the condo unit. To solve for this issue, Danny quickly opened up an additional hole to help insure the furnace continued to work at optimal performance in the future.
