Placed an order and tried to call and confirm that the order went through and the person that my fiance spoke to said it was going to take a long time and that he needed the actual location of our hotel, because we didnt know the actual location he hung up on him when he called back to give the address he said to just cancel the order and he said no refunds and hung up again. We called again and asked if the pizza was going to be delivered or if they were going to give our money back to us and he yelled profanities and hung up. Pizza is not good here. It never really tastes fresh for some reason. And even when I get a slice there, it's never hot after they heat it up - just a little warm. Maybe they do that on purpose, but I like to see my cheese melted. Their mozzarella sticks are okay - but the crust/breading is a little different and not my favorite. I gave them 3 stars bc the workers are very nice. A great late night bite. Their menu is extensive and has all the classic pizza shop items and then some. They're open late and always have the full menu available. The place is always clean and has a nice outdoor area to sit and eat. The staff is always SO friendly, even while serving drunk people at 1:30 in the morning. They make everything to order as well. My sister and I kind of have a problem with this place. Whenever we are both hungry and far too lazy too cook, we always start weighing our options. Neither of us want to be the first one to say College Pizza, but eventually someone cracks, and that's where we go. We can't help it, it's just that good. Admittedly, it is a little sad that the last couple times my sister has gone there she has noticed their haircuts, and they have noticed hers. It's also a little sad that we are sympathizing for one of the guys who, for a time, was sporting a bandaid above his eye. They treat us well though, and so does their food. Best thing to get for two people? Small pepperoni pizza, extra crispy, with an antipasto salad and the house dressing. So, so good. The food is cheap too, so it's not like you're breaking budget. They also have great subs and calzones. I'm not into calzones normally, but these ones are pretty good. It's really delicious, and it's a great fall back for those nights when you just don't feel like cooking. Who cares if you order it three times in a row? It's still good every time. One of the best and cheapest pizzas you will ever find in Boston. I've been to all sorts of pizzerias in the NEU/Fenway areas. Nothing will ever beat this place in terms of price and taste. I understand that there are many times where the food will be delivered late. An hour to 90 minutes late? I feel a little disgruntled after that. This place is a joke of a business, I have tried there pizza once, and it was ok, 3 stars at most. One Friday night I decided to give it another shot, so it's around 7pm and I head over to the store to place an order in person because everyone tells me don't ever do delivery because it's the worst. The doors are clearly open, and before I went I checked what time the store opens and closes for business. So I go into the store and I try to place an order, and the pizza guy tells me "we are not open yet", I said ok! When will you guys open, he tells me "in 30mins" I said ok! I waited outside for 30mins, then go back in and ask, are you guys open, and I get the same response, 30 more mins, no way I'm waiting for an hour or maybe more to get over price pizza. After one negative experience with ordering delivery I should have known better than to give it another try... I won't make that mistake ever again. If the person I spoke to on the phone hadn't been so utterly rude and disrespectful then I would recommend this place for pick-up orders only, because the food is good. But the delivery and customer service is absolutely horrible- so I'll be ordering my pick up and delivery from one of the many other options in the neighborhood instead. I called to ask for an ETA because the delivery was 40 minutes late (over two hours after the order was placed) and I was immediately told if I called again my order would be cancelled and I wouldn't be getting any food. I offered to come pick it up instead since I was close by, and he told me that was absolutely not possible and, "it'll be ready when it's ready and it'll get there when it gets there, and if you call again you won't get anything at all." Food eventually arrived, 3 hours after being ordered. Not worth the time or the stress of dealing with their rude staff- spend your money at Sal's or Pizzeria Regina instead! read more

I was disappointed that the order arrived more than 50 minutes LATER than the "estimated delivery time." I called in and they were still making the food when it should have been delivered. I give only 4 stars because the place has pizza in it's name, and the pizza is pretty horrible. The rest of the food is also mediocre, hence the 4 stars. I give it 4 stars because the service is amazing. This goes to show how simply a smile and a conversation can get a person coming back, even if your product isn't the best around! The prices are moderate. Wait is usually 15 minutes or less for pick up, longer for delivery (which they do offer to the area). My boyfriend and I usually ordered the chicken finger dinner, which comes with a surprisingly generous portion of fries AND a side salad! It was always more than I could finish in one sitting. We also often ordered mozzarella sticks (passed my test) and steak and cheese subs. We lived on Park Drive for 5 years and had been going to College (as we came to dub it) the whole time. It was actually the first meal we ate in our apartment when we first moved in, a box of pizza in the middle of the floor of our empty, echoing, just-moved-into apartment on the top floor of our Park Drive apartment building. Holds a bit of sentimental value, as corny as it sounds. And the guys were just as warm and friendly the last time we ordered from them as they were the first. They came to know us, our phone number, even the food we ordered as well as our dogs whom often accompanied us on our frequent late-night pick ups. They knew when and where we were moving. Worst service ever. We ordered a pizza early on a Friday evening, for delivery. After nearly two hours we called to check on the status. The manager got indignant and said he was cancelling our order. We tried to call back several times and he either didn't answer or answered and immediately hung up. It was obvious that they forgot about our order and didn't want to admit fault. Making matters worse, when we requested a refund from the delivery service we had to go back and forth for several days, and he still refused to issue a refund. Great people topped with pretty awesome spur of the moment food. My boyfriend and I are addicted to the wraps, the chicken salad and I have to admit I've ordered wings several times at 1 in the morning. But, I really can't get enough of the grilled chicken salad. Not only is the salad huge and the grilled chicken filled with flavor (I am so sick of chicken salads with taste-less chicken thrown on top).... they give you an empty wrap that is delicious with the salad inside. Nice people, and good food quick. We go here far too often, but how can we resist - the subs and salads are great - and I have never been disappointed by a meal here. I personally don't like the pizza - it's a little greasy for my taste, and I prefer "NY style" pizza. The cooks are really sweet and friendly, although they tease us for being stuck in a menu rut! There's a lot of pizza in this town. And most of it sucks. However, I'm happy to report that's not the case here. Yeah, it's not a great style of pizza - thick crust, super-chewy, dense toppings - but the quality is there and they know a good pie. You just have to be in the mood for that sort of thing. I've had the pepperoni, the Hawaiian, the house special and the plain. All of them have the same format of dense outer crust with flappy slices, yet the toppings and bread are very tasty. What's more, the cut of each slice is logical for a normal human hand - no ridiculously oversized pieces here, which I see a fuck-ton of at other places, or else incredibly skinny slices. Their other menu items are also really satisfying, especially the burgers. Trust me, I have been burned by so many businesses offering "cheeseburgers" that turn out to be frozen patties slapped together that I give none of the fucks anymore about that category on Yelp, Foodler, or any other site. But College Pizza seems to actually COOK MEAT here. Registering a patty as rare is a thing. The buns are fresh. The toppings are tasty. It's not the cluster-fuck that happens at other pizzerias, not by a long shot. It's a really good burger every time. I have not tried their sides. The fries or rings or salads could be any kind of questionable. But what I've seen of burgers and pizza, it's a really solid joint. read more

Standard Pizza Shop. Nothing special. At least it is clean with an open kitchen. The pizza dough is a bit thicker than normal (about 1/2 inch) and is soft a doughy. It is decent pizza. Looks like this review is as interesting and special as their food. The cheese sticks are good, and standard. the people who work here are extremely nice and polite. This is probably the best pizza shop in the Fenway area. Won't find prices like this anywhere else in Fenway. I've been twice so far & they have yet to disappoint me with the pizzas by the slice. They're super inexpensive & still delicious. I don't even like blue cheese but they're buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese drizzled on top is amazing. If you're into sports too, this is a good spot for you since they seem to always have a game one. The first time I went they were playing a soccer match & the second time a basketball game. I only ate here once recently, and I just had the pizza. I got a four-way pizza, and had it takeout. I was lucky and got there right when the pizza came out of the oven. 12 dollars for a large. Enough for two people. Hit the spot. If you want a decent-quantity decent-quality food, this is the place to go. I ordered a gyro and a greek salad. For such simple items, both were less than mediocre. The greek salad was a basic iceberg lettuce salad, but they threw on an overload of feta cheese and canned olives...not tasty. The gyro had little to no meat and was unfortunately complemented by two whole uncut pieces of romaine lettuce. Cheap gyros are easy to nail...but this was near inedible. No one really gave me the time of day, said more than repeat my order back to me, never cracked a smile, or said it'll be 5 min., and took and ran my credit card without even a thank you. Unfortunately, I live a block down so I'm sure I'll try them again simply because they're convenient. Update: 9/19/2010...I dropped them from 2 stars to 1 star. I've tried this place three more times since my original review simply for the convenience. Today I ordered a cheeseburger thinking there was no possible way something so basic could come out bad. Wow, was my assumption wrong. It was so bad that I spit out the first bite. I found myself recalling better tasting hospital food. I've also tried the cheese pizza and cheese steak (that has no cheese FYI) and were very disappointed. I'm easy to please, but I just don't understand the decent reviews of this place. I've tried four+ items now and they were all 1 star on a good day.
