Brisket toasted ravioli were perfect! Lightly breaded with generous portions of brisket. The homemade marinara is so tasty. We split an Italian chopped salad and it was plenty for the two of us. Spring mix was fresh, toppings of meat and olives were delicious. The rib eye and mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly to order and it was a good quality cut of meat. The grilled salmon with chili sauce was lovely. Honestly it was so good, it would have been amazing without the chili sauce! We finished with the port wine chocolate cake. Rich and delicious. Overall, the food quality to cost was very very good. High quality food for less than many other restaurants. Well done!

Very friendly staff. Service was excellent. The patio was a nice area to relax & enjoy a long dinner with friends. The food was tasty. We loved the appetizers. Pastas were good & we had a favorite- the bucatini. The tomato sauce was delicious. We ordered for happy hour. Wine flight was $12. What an amazing deal. And the waitress brought the 2 of us flights with 8 different wines. Was a great way to try so many.

We visited Collina Eatery a couple weeks ago after reading a positive post by a friend. Collina is a corner, neighborhood cafe on the hill surrounded by apartments and homes in a quiet family area. I believe the building was an old converted gas station. It's small and quaint with most of the seating on the sidewalk or patio. It was a beautiful evening, perfect for dining o' natural. Upon arrival we were greeted by smiles and cheery attitude. I had made a reservation for an inside table (not knowing how the weather would be) and they graciously changed us to a table outside. We ordered a couple glasses of wine which were delivered quickly and sipped while we perused the menu. They brought fresh Italian bread to our table to nibble on which we enjoyed. The menu was a nice mix and balance of beef, pasta, multiple fresh seafood entrees, pork tenderloin, and fried chicken. They even had a couple burgers and a wrap for this so inclined. We decided to start with their Italian Chopped salad. We asked how large it was and decided to share it. Good choice. The salad was quite large and more than enough for two. Possibly three people. The salad arrived in a beautiful presentation of spring mix greens, peppers, green olives, salami, mortadella, and parmesan dressed in a delicious vinaigrette. For entrees we went with the bacon wrapped beef medallions and I ordered the red snapper. Even while they tended a party of sixteen, the advised us up front and made sure to provide great service for all of their other tables. Service was top notch. The salad came out beautifully presented as described above. My only criticism was there was no salt and pepper on the table, and they didn't offer fresh ground pepper. They were able to provide salt/pepper but having fresh pepper shouldn't be unavailable to diners in a restaurant of this caliber. When our entrees arrived they were beautifully plated. Kudos! Presentation is a sign of what is to come. My date had the beef medallions with applewood smoked bacon and a cowboy butter and red wine reduction, along with asparagus and parmesan risotto. I received the pan seared red snapper with citrus beurre blanc sauce, accompanied by a crab polenta cake and spinach with toasted corn. The beef medallions were a perfect medium rare (as ordered) and the sauce a great paring. Rich and delicious. Tender. Melt in your mouth. The risotto cooked to a tee, light and not remotely gummy. The grilled asparagus tender and full of flavor. The red snapper was simply amazing. One of the best plates of food I have enjoyed in St. Louis. The snapper was a thick, generous fillet perfectly seared preserving the light, juicy, flaky fish. The beurre blanc light a wonderfully complimentary to the light fish. Another melt in your mouth dish. The sides almost out shined the snapper. The crab polenta had a lightly crispy crust with a center of soft, fluffy, perfectly seasoned corn souffle. Wow! Amazing. And finally, the spinach with toasted corn. The spinach was lightly sauteed and slightly crispy while the slightly crispy chickpeas rounded out the flavor. We were too full to order dessert thought it all sounded inviting and we would expect to be fabulous. Though we passed, they brought us a slice of carrot cake stuffed with caramel cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary. I'm typically not a carrot cake person, but feel converted. A light and balanced perfect close to our meal. Delicious! I'm a sixty-ish, foodie-ish with a wide pallet and dining history. Everything was wonderful. The food great and service to match, with only a couple minor service flaws. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's a hidden gem in St. Louis. Unpretentious and a really good value. So many good dishes on the menu. We will be back repeatedly!

I give it 2 stars because it's nice to sit outside, but genuinely the food here is awful. So expensive for the most mediocre "Italian" food ever. Friendly staff. Fettuccine De Gambri was watery and tasteless. Rigatoni disgusting-- like hamburger helper. Pork was whatever-- mashed potatoes were a joke. DO NOT eat here. Waste of money. Go to Anthonio's and just wait for a table.

First time visiting Collina for my dear friend Benefit. First of all, thank you to this Family owned business for putting this fundraising event for her!!!! The place was packed.. sitting outside in the heat was brutal but tolerated due to what we were there to do!!! Food was very good... The Salad (dressing was a bit to vinegary) but good The Bruschetta was Amazing.... The Linguini Del Mar was very dry but I sent it back and it came out Perfect!! Crispy Shrimp Bowl was good and different. Rigatoni with Meat Sauce tasty But the Best was the Chicken Cor Don Bleu!!! Highly Recommend!!! The Specialty Cocktails were yummy!!! The staff worked their tails off!!! We took a few desserts home!!! The lemon Marscopon Toasted Ravioli was different and good! Cheesecake Yum!

Yum! My dad and I made reservations here before our show at The Fox. We started with the brisket ravioli appetizer, which was super yummy. The green goddess sauce paired perfectly with the tender ravioli. For our entrees, I opted for the chicken cordon bleu, which was delicious. It was served with a cheddar gnocchi which was clearly homemade. So light and fluffy, I would eat just that for my meal! My dad got the bucatini pasta which he said was delicious, as well. We were too stuffed for dessert, but I need to come back to try that stuffed carrot cake! Overall, this charming and cozy restaurant had wonderful service and exceeded our expectations.

Grabbed some dessert for carry out. The cakes were delicious and came out quickly. Service was fast and the ladies were great to help me make my choices. Layout of the restaurant is better for dine in, as there not a spot to wait for your order, if not dining in. Port wine chocolate cake was my favorite over the stuffer carrot cake, but both were tasty!

First time visiting Collina around 7 on a Saturday night. There isnt a hostess stand so checking in is an awkward stroll through the dining area. This location used to be the old pit stop. It's noticeable because some of the staff still wear those shirts. The service was nice but things were noticeably slow for everyone. I don't mind waiting for the food to be done right but I could here some other tables getting antsy. We started with splitting the fall salad which was sweet and tangy, the pecans were my favorite part. I had the fettuccine de gambari. The shrimp were big and the pasta was incredible. The portion size is a little too small for $25. I think they could do better by reducing the number tables to get cook times down.

Wow! What a hidden gem. Found this place thanks to Yelp and thought it would be a good place for people with varying preferences and it knocked it out of the park. First, the service was phenomenal (shout out to Julie!). Second, the food was great. We had a great experience and sent some family friends the next week and they loved it too. It's like the perfect neighborhood restaurant, good for date night, family dinner, take out... you name it, it hits. They have amazing specials throughout the week, so check those out when planning your visit.

My husband and I came here back in December 2023 and our food was VERY subpar; burnt chicken sandwich, burnt bacon, and some other stuff (however, the service was great). I called and the owner offered us a gift card for our poor experience. Love! Five... months... later.... they called us and reminded us that we had a gift card waiting there; I was so grateful that they hadn't thrown it out! The restaurant is pretty small and quaint. It sits on the corner of Mackland. We ended up coming back in around dinner time. Our server came over and greeted us, she was pleasant. I asked her which one of their specialty drinks was the least sweetest because sweet & overly sweet drinks are a no for me. She went to ask the bartender and the bartender recommended the old-fashioned... I literally get old fashioned's everywhere I go which is why I wanted to know which one of THEIR specialty drinks was the least sweetest so I could try one of those. But I guess that was the only option?? We order appetizers and we opt for brisket ravioli, and lobster arincini. The ravioli was good with the green goddess sauce. Just "good." I couldn't try the other appetizers as I am allergic to shellfish, but my husband said they were also, just OK. My husband opted for a seafood pasta that he said was bland, again I couldn't taste because of the allergy but for him to say that speaks volumes because he never complains about anything. I ordered the steak medallions which were delicious & cooked perfectly, my veggie side was also bland so I just added some salt and pepper and they were fine. I may come back and try something new.

The service was excellent from the start. My party made reservations due to rain. The seating is limited inside. They do have a variety of outdoor seating for nice days. We loved the bruschetta. It was delightful. My half fried chicken meal had to be one of the best classic fried chickens I have had in a long time. The shrimp bowl had so many flavors. You cannot go wrong with an of the items. Their manager last night was incredible and we appreciated her service with our carrot cake! A+

This was a wonderful find! Incredibly thankful the have gluten free items AND it is clearly marked on the menu. We came on a Friday evening and are pleased we did. Our server, Max, was very helpful and had great suggestions. My husband had the rigatoni and I had the Seafood risotto. I am the one that has to eat gluten free (Celiac). Max assured me the kitchen was knowledgeable and conscientious with the food of those who need to be gluten free. Seating is tight and cozy. I would highly recommend coming here when the weather is nice. The outdoor seating area looked inviting.

I went to Collina on the Hill with a friend on a Saturday night to try the fried chicken and was very impressed, The food I had was top notch with excellent sides. We started with the brisket toasted ravioli as a starter and enjoyed that a lot. The fried chicken came out hot and fresh, and really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and green beans. The restaurant itself is pretty cool inside and the servers were all friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back there and try some other dishes especially the pasta that looked and smelled wonderful as it was brought out to other tables.

A friendly place on a great street corner on The Hill. The atmosphere at this establishment brings you to restaurant that has a theme hidden inside of a small familiar setting. Originally a service station, the venue retains the old pumps out front, where you find great patio dining area, on one of the cleanest intersections on The Hill, with views of some of the great Hill homes. There is a enclosed patio, bar seating with high tops and a behind the bar dining room that appears was a repurposed auto bay, complete with a garage door that can be opened on warmer days where a new elevated patio is present. The staff is great and there are always some great menu items and specials that appear. A huge point on the 5 stars is that the owners seem to keep up with their social media and you can see specials and deserts presented there ahead of a weekend! My fav is the chicken wraps or the crunchy chicken tacos! The menu has enough options that you'll find something you love too. read more

I love this restaurant! I've come here on 2 separate occasions in the last 2 weeks and loved it both times. The first time I came with one friend, and we loved it so much I brought 10 of my friends the next time. And guess what - they loved it too! Food- They have such a great variety of foods that are both tasty and healthy. They range from different types of bowls (their Buddha bowl is good), wraps (LOVE their spicy chicken wrap), to full entree plates (their fried chicken with sides looks amazing). My friends had the brisket toasted ravioli and said it's the best they have had in STL. Patio- they have an adorable and pretty good size patio that allows for social distancing. It's such a cute little spot that is a converted gas station. And their flower arrangements are nice also! Service - every waiter was so attentive and friendly! They even split 10 checks which is not the funnest thing to do, but they did it anyway for us! Overall 10/10 and will be coming back! read more

The Pit Stop was just awesome all the way around. Our table was perfect with an inside location out of the wind but near a sliding garage door giving us a bit of an outdoor vibe. The service was top notch with attentiveness and good energy and humor. And the food was fantastic. The brisket ravioli and bruschetta apps were great. I had the Bistro Steak as a main which was cooked perfectly medium rare and super tasty. Desserts were awesome too, especially the Stuffed Carrot Cake. Love this place! read more

We were the first customers of the evening, and as we entered, I was hit with the smell of cleaning fluid, an unpleasant sweet smell, maybe something they mop the floors with. Yuck. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful, recommending several things that we ordered. We got the Brisket Toasted Ravioli, Seafood Risotto, STL Blues Burger, and a Raspberry Margarita. The food came out a a reasonable pace and was hot. The Brisket Ravioli was good and we got both dips with it, an extra $1, but we otherwise would have passed on the Green Goddess dip, which was also good. The Risotto was good (not exceptional) and was a generous size. My kid wolfed down their burger, it was very good. The waitress recommended the Gooey Butter Cake Toasted Ravioli for dessert, and although we both questioned it, we ordered it and it was good, too. The margarita was just ok, very sweet and not very strong, maybe a mix? So, our experience was good but not exceptional. The service was very good and the space looks cool enough to want to try the outside patio when it warms up. Maybe we'll be back. read more

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here. We decided to sample some appetizers and dessert. The brisket toasted ravioli was by far the highlight of the meal. They are flavorful and you are likely to crave them. It was worth the extra dollar for both sauces as they complimented them well. We also got the Pork Belly Arancini's which were also very good but we saw zero remnants or any taste of pork belly. This was disappointing. Finally we got the Gooey Butter Cake Toasted Ravioli. This was actually the draw to Pitstop to begin with. We were rather disappointed in these. They were dry at best and lacked flavor. We also had a situation with a charge after we had left but the staff took care of it and were very attentive to the problem. We would come back for the brisket ravioli and much of their other foods looked delicious and worth a try. read more

Wow wow wow, I honestly don't think I've eaten better food. Everything was to die for, the toasted raviolis, the salmon dip (was a special, might not be on their main menu but definitely should be), the sangrias, and of course the main courses. I got the Alfredo and it was just fantastic. Such a great little spot and super cozy. Will definitely be my go to date night spot. read more

Delicious!! Started with the Honey Cajun shrimp without bacon with plans to split the Red Snapper..but the we heard two specials including Buffalo Cauliflower and a Chocolate Creme Brûlée..so opted for a salad each (Pit Stop and Farmers) along with those two specials. While everything was good, the cauliflower was the best! And Chef/Owner Carlos stopped by for a chat..look forward to a return visit! read more

I think the food was good. Toasted ravioli appetizer was the best I've ever had! I would not say they were family friendly. They seemed confused by me asking for a cup with a lid for my daughter and sat us right next to the multi gender bathroom causing 2-5 people to be awkwardly standing around our table at any moment. read more

OMG... sooo good!! We came on a whim and been bringing people bk to experience it with us! The food is amazing! Brought our fam from Sonoma who have pretty high level taste and expectation and they were raving just as much as we were! I don't eat ribs but my brother does and he said they were some of the best he have ever had! Little spicy... My fav is the appetizer taco. But really it is all wonderful. And what's more.. even tho they don't have a full liquor license it hasn't been a prob for us! Good beer and wine menu, can cocktails that are jazzed up as well as fancy been and wine drinks are fun! Anyway... gotta give this place a chance... they and their staff are wonderful and we hope this reincarnation of the place never goes away!!!! read more

My boyfriend and I went after getting rave reviews from my sister. We were extremely impressed. We had the brisket toasted ravioli which was fantastic with the green goddess dressing which I was originally hesitant about the combination. I had the salad special which was a watermelon salad. I could easily eat it every single day. For my entrée I got the pork belly. The polenta and veggies served with it were fantastic. The pork belly itself was fine, but not amazing. read more

This spot was participating in St. Louis Taco Week and they had a salmon taco, tofu taco, and a pork belly taco! SO GOOD!!! Service (our server was Antonio) was quick and amazing. Food and drinks came out fast. Patio area is well lit and spacious. Highly recommend coming back for their tacos this week and if this is any indicator of their regular menu- I'll be back to try that as well. read more

Amazing. The first word that comes to mind when I think about Pit Stop. You will not be disappointed in the selections on the menu. Food is always hot and tasty. Awesome appetizers, fresh salads, tender steaks, all with great flavor. Service is always friendly and courteous. Will answer any questions that will allow you to make the best choices. Wow. Just wow. My husband and I moved here a week ago and were looking for a local spot with great food after a day at the pool. This place exceeded our expectations. I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and the chicken was so tender it melted in my mouth. My husband had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. We finished the night off with a peanut butter, chocolate cake with gelato which capped off the meal perfectly. We will definitely be back! read more

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I ordered the fried chicken and sides (mashed potatoes and parmesan green beans) which were fantastic, and my friends all loved what they ordered too. The servers were all really friendly and all of our food came out super quickly. I'm looking forward to eating here again in the future! read more

Stopped by Collina for their burger week special, but sadly, we left a bit disappointed. Our server was friendly, but the food didn't quite hit the mark. We didn't get plates to share our apps and salads, which was a bummer. The flavors just weren't all there, and the freshness didn't match up to the price. On the bright side, the outdoor seating area is really nice. With so many great spots on The Hill, I'm not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
