During a work training day, we decided to go find a cute pizza place in the area. I went to yelp to find a pizza place that was cute with a great star rating. We weren't having much success, so we asked a co-worker who lives in the area where she suggests we go. She gave me the name of this pizza place and away we went. It was a 15 min drive from our location, so we were concerned about the time we had to wait for food, but we took a chance. The ambiance was great. (It is BYOB for a few bucks extra.) The pizza was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. My co-worker and I decided to go in on a pizza and split it. It was amazing. I ate a big slice and then took the rest home and devoured the rest for dinner. My boss was still talking about the pizza a week later.. totally worth the 30 min round trip detour and the time it took out of our lunch break!! I will definitely be back when I am in the area! Btw I usually don't eat garlic bread but my co-worker was drooling over it so I decided to try it.. I ate every savory bite!! read more

First time visiting and we had a great time! Promptly greeted when entering. Diner was cute style. Our waitress was super attentive and always checking up on us, especially with drink refills which we appreciated. We tried the pineapple pizza and cream mushroom pasta and they were both delicious. We left super full and would come back! It's BYOB and we will definitely be adhering to that next time. The appetizers salad and bread were also very fresh. Went there for dinner tonight, food okay, not great. But very bothered by wait staff, definitely need retraining on restaurant sanitation, customer service, how to dress and overall etiquette. I counted 10 people on staff, 3 standing around focused on their phones, 3 prepping, 2 cooking and 2 just standing around. Restaurant definitely needs a new management staff!! All these years late and we still frequent Collina's. My enthusiasm has waned since becoming gluten free. They do have gluten free pasta, but they often run out of or don't have the pizza crust. Also - tip - they don't have a separate kids menu, but they do have portions of any pasta dish. Great deal for the kids! read more

So Italian food to me is like you can't mess it up too much unless the noodles are mushy. I had a meal here the night before the Houston half marathon and the spaghetti with meat sauce was actually really tasty. My husband got the lasagne and we shared all of this with our toddler. We went here for the first time tonight with our 2.5 year old son. We arrived about 545, ordered a small cheese pizza and one large pizza. We were one of 2 tables seated in the restaurant. We waited about 20 minutes and didn't see our server, let alone any food. The place got crowded. Waited another 10 minutes. Still no server or food. The tables around us, who arrived after us, started getting their food. Waited another 10 minutes and mine and my husbands pizza showed up. We asked if it normally took this long for pizza, as it had been 40-45 minutes at this point. The waitress said no but didn't elaborate. Our son's pizza did not come. We waited about 5 minutes. No pizza. After flagging down our waitress, we asked where his food was and she tried to blame it on the kitchen "making a mistake". We finally got his cheese pizza about 650. He was too antsy to sit still to eat so after one slice, we just asked for a box and took everything home. No apologies. No nothing. I'll give it 3 stars because the pizza was fine. I'm from Houston, TX originally and moved up north. I still think about this place and miss the pizza so so much. There truly is nothing like Houston food and Collinas is by far my favorite place. I would do anything to have this place near me again. (I would only get the Mona Lisa so I can't speak for the other food) Pizza is the way to when coming here. The tomatoes are so sweet and fresh along with the different cheeses they use on there pizzas pair perfectly. (I cannot speak about the service or ambiance because I couldn't care less about it, as long as I have my pizza) read more

I'm not sure why the Collina's aren't all consistently the same but I accidentally ordered some pizza from the Heights location and it wasn't anything like our beloved Richmond location. The pies weren't as crispy and flavorful and just not as good. I think there's a difference in dough as well as toppings. Wow, just wow. You have truly outdone yourself this time Collina. I have been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant where you feel like you're eating family recipes. This is definitely one of those places. Has a cool ambiance/vibe on the inside and is very quaint. I also had a fantastic view this evening (my girlfriend). The bread was fantastic and so fresh. Highly recommend saving some to dip in the fettuccine sauce. My girlfriend (smokeshow) got the fettuccini and holy wacamole was it good. You could tell it was homemade and was super fresh. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was slightly underwhelming. It was good, but the sauce was a little watery and could have used some more flavor. The meatballs were great though. Overall, 10/10. Will definitely be throwing Collina's fettuccine Alfredo down my gullet again soon. We have been coming to this location for years to celebrate family birthdays. Typically every time we visit everything's on point. Food is great and the service is stellar. Today was the exception as the service was non existent. Our appetizers took forever and one didn't come out until after our pizzas were delivered. Love Collina's! It it my go-to pizza pick up spot in Houston! My only negatives revolve around the customer service. Every time we call or pick up it is not the friendliest and a little blunt. However, I haven't ran into any problems besides this. I do wish Collina's had a rewards or coupon program! Ok I understand why this place doesn't have good reviews now. Goodness. We came here yesterday and they took our order, we got half of our food and the other half never came. The waiter is flustered and is wondering if we are done with dinner because our kids are over sitting for so long. We get the bill and it's way higher than we anticipated and upon inspecting the receipt it's because they gave us the wrong bill and overcharged us. It was completely chaotic and I didn't really enjoy the experience. The food was decent but now they charge for bread and it's not fresh hot out of the oven anymore. It was pretty cold and hard. I'm shocked that this place is only 3 stars! Came on a Sunday night for dinner for the first time, and waited about 5 minutes for a table. There were only a couple of servers working, and noticed the hiring sign outside so expected slow service. However my server Israel was super quick and provided great customer service despite the busy restaurant. I got the chicken parm panini and it came with a side salad and the most delicious focaccia bread! Make sure you dip it in oil + Parmesan cheese. So addicting! The chicken parm panini was more like a sandwich but it was delicious and super filling (also only like $8). Others at my table tried the pasta and said it was also good. We noticed everyone around us ordering pizza and it looked amazing, so I'll definitely be back to try pizza. Pro tip: it's BYOB with a $2 corking fee per person.
