Unfortunately, despite numerous phone calls and repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I have been unable to get anyone to take ownership or provide any meaningful assistance. There appears to be a complete lack of management oversight and customer service. No one has followed up, no effort has been made to replace or compensate me for the lost item, and there has been no attempt whatsoever to make this situation right. Losing a customer's clothing is bad enough, but the complete disregard and lack of accountability afterward has been even more frustrating. I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of service and the way this situation was handled. I brought a strapless dress to Collins Cleaners to be cleaned. I had only worn the dress a few times, and it had previously been professionally cleaned elsewhere without any issues. I picked up the dress before traveling to New York for a wedding. About 30 minutes before I had to leave for the event, I put the dress on and discovered that the structured material in the bodice that allows the strapless dress to stay up had become completely soft. The dress would no longer stay up on its own. Since I was already in NYC with no time to find another outfit, I had to discreetly pin the dress to my layered necklace just to keep it in place throughout the wedding. It was embarrassing and stressful. As soon as I returned to Charlotte, I called Collins Cleaners. They asked me to bring the dress in, and the manager apologized, saying he would immediately speak with the owner, Joe. I requested that Joe call me, and he did. After I explained what happened, he said they could fix the dress by adding a substance to restore the stiffness of the bodice and asked me to bring it back. After several weeks with no communication, I finally called to check on the status. They told me it would be ready the next day. When I picked it up, the dress was still not fixed. They had starched it three times, but the bodice still lacked the structure needed to support the dress. Joe happened to be there when I picked it up. Rather than acknowledging the problem, he denied that Collins Cleaners was responsible. He insisted they cleaned the dress according to the manufacturer's instructions and blamed the manufacturer instead. I explained that the dress had been professionally cleaned before without this issue and that the problem only occurred after Collins cleaned it. I also pointed out that by taking the dress back and attempting to repair it, they had effectively acknowledged there was a problem. Unfortunately, their attempted solution did not resolve it. I understand that mistakes can happen. What was most disappointing was the complete unwillingness to accept any responsibility or offer meaningful compensation for a dress that is now unusable. Good customer service is measured not by whether problems occur, but by how a business responds when they do. In my experience, Collins Cleaners fell well short of that standard. Valet Dryer cleaning service is not dependable. Order was picked up in Gastonia 5/26 and was promised to be delivered back on 5/28. This was confirmed at the time the order was placed, in the app, and on the receipt at pickup. I called several times beyond the promised date and was told inaccurate information each time and folks that had a careless mentality. Eventually, my only option was to travel from Gastonia to Charlotte after escalating the matter on 6/4. A whole week after the promised date. As a long-time customer of Collins Cleaners at Long Creek, this is the first time I've been extremely disappointed with the service provided. I took a comforter and pillow shams in for dry cleaning during their $25.99 comforter special, which is typically offered every two to three months. However, after waiting nearly two weeks (May 21 through June 2), my items were returned in what appeared to be the same condition in which they were dropped off. During that 12-day period, I left two voicemail messages for the manager and never received a return call. I also spoke with three different representatives and was repeatedly told either, "It's being cleaned," or, "I will have the manager contact you." Unfortunately, neither resulted in any follow-up or resolution. When I picked up the comforter and pillow shams, they were still folded and packaged exactly as I had brought them in, inside the same plastic storage bag. To make matters worse, the items had an unpleasant odor resembling corn chips, which raised serious concerns about whether they had been cleaned at all. As a loyal customer, this experience was both frustrating and disappointing. Rather than making another call without resolution, I felt compelled to share my experience. Collins Cleaners picked up three horse blankets from my front porch for a cleaning that was scheduled online. They said they would be returned the next week. It has been 3 full months and they refuse to return the blankets. They evidently are not cleaned yet and are sitting in a warehouse. I have asked to have them returned dirty or to be able to pick them up dirty and no one will confirm where the blankets are. These blankets are worth $600. I received text messages for discounts and always try to make sure I get in on them. The customer service person said that the last one I was suppose to get, that she was not aware of it. I called back and the manager told her when I picked up my order, she would give me my discount. Picked up my order and she said I could get a store credit or have it applied to the next order. I was in town for a few days and needed a quick press on my suit coat, the plane trip in was not kind to it in my baggage. I called from my hotel as they used them and normally delivered as well. I had time so I stoped in at about 5pm on a Monday, got to talking with the owner, and she had my jacket pressed while I waited. Moreover, it came out great and she did not charge me. I love this dry cleaning service because of the sheer convenience. They pick your clothes up for you from your house and drop off clean. One time my roommate accidentally took my clothes inside during pick up but this wonderful kind employee called me and told me she was going back to my house and double checking. I promptly called my roommate and told him to put them out again. Great service and my clothes needed it bad this week so thanks to this kind new employee, I forget her name but she was awesome! Im giving this cleaners a one. Our clothes had to be treated for bed bugs that a hotel we were staying at had. The hotel brought our clothes here and told us to put our shoes in a bag to get them treated. We get our clothing and shoes back and 10 pairs of our shoes are ruined. When I asked the owner what he would do if I were a customer and not a hotel, he told me he'd turn me away and tell me he couldn't treat my shoes. I said " Well it's your responsibility to call the customer if you felt that way". The owner stated that it was not his problem but the hotels and I would have to take it up with the hotel. In the meantime we are out of at least $800 worth of shoes. "I recently had the worst experience with Collins dry cleaners. I've been a customer of Collins since I moved to the area in 2013. Holly-Huntersville Rd and Beatties Ford Rd location, I needed my suit for a wedding on Sunday (4/24), I dropped it off the Monday before and asked for it to be ready on Thursday. I was told it would be ready on Wednesday. Great! I go Wednesday, they don't have it. I go back Thursday and they still don't have it. Now I'm up against a wall. I'm supposed to check into a hotel just outside Charlotte Friday after work. I wanted to have everything ready Thursday evening (all packed and ready to go) so I could leave from work rather than come all the way back home in the Mountain Island area, which is on the complete opposite side of town from the hotel. I get a text saying my suit was ready literally as I'm pulling into the parking lot of the hotel. Fortunately, I had another suit to wear for the occasion because I couldn't wait at home any longer. To top it all off the person at the store was not at all empathetic during all this, and when I went to pick the suit up told me "you're gonna have to wait cuz I gotta log these clothes in." And proceeded to have me wait about 5 minutes while she enter each item (looked like uniforms for some business. I watched her enter about 8-10 items). THE WORST STICHING REPAIR I HAVE EVER SEEN. This repair is completely unacceptable. I had a small rip on the elbow part of my suit and it took over a week and 3 days to have it even repaired. When it did come back it was worse than when I delivered it. The stitching looks like a drunk person sowed it, and the color of the stitching doesn't even match the color of the suit ( Blue stiching on a BLACK suit). The stitching is done horrible and uneven . This is a $300 suit that I CAN NEVER WEAR AGAIN, completely unacceptable and I recommend NO ONE EVER GET REPAIRS HERE! read more
