Rear windshield, marks from their buffering tool

Further damage was done to my vehicle while in the care of this shop as repairs were being made. Whichever technician had the responsibility of completing the repairs for my car was negligent in prepping the vehicle before sanding/buffering commenced and caused damage to my rear windshield, left passenger door/window panel, and other areas. Upon my arrival, I was told that my car would not start and they needed to jump start the battery before I came, so I was to wait 15 minutes before shutting it off. This prompted me to immediately inspect my vehicle for other issues since it was clear that the vehicle had been neglected while being stored in their facility for approx. 28 days, and that is when I noticed the subpar paint with multiple sand/buffer streaks and other body damage. The owner Fred Gil was not pleasant to talk with and he was very rude when he realized I wanted them to correct the issues that were damaged and done sloppily. He told me that my car looked better than the way it came in as to justify their wrong doing. While speaking with Allstate rep, they wanted me to return the key to the shop and have them fix the issues, while on the phone with them, Fred would not except my key and told me to leave and insulted me on my way out (Allstate rep heard all of this too). And to add another insult to injury, I had to call AAA because my car would not start while parked outside of their shop, I paid approx. $250 for a new battery. Worst experience ever and very stressful event. Stay away from this shop if you want things done correctly.

Coming home from vacation to find my street-parked car plowed into and royally banged up was horrible, but at least the process for getting it repaired with Collision Experts was a painless breeze. Thanks to their partnership with Allstate, everything was easy and streamlined -- no extra steps of having to get an adjuster! Excellent customer service and quality repair work. Will definitely use again.

Thank you !! The boss was nice, informative and helped me. For me over all great the only they didn't show me the car usually they walk you to your car and show you the results. but it was still great. Overall satisfied and would recommend. I had a dent removed and scratches buffed out. Reasonable price. I won't miss the cracking sound my door made before. Don't have a before picture but I do have an after and it looks great. I will be back here if I need anything else.

Fred found an after market bumper which kept the cost down and quickened the repair turnaround time.

They responded quickly, were courteous, and didn't try to tack on a diagnostic fee just to take a look. When I dropped off the car, the technician walked me through their process, starting with the bulbs before moving into any potential electrical issues (which I really appreciated.) It ended up being the simplest fix: both bulbs were burned out. They had everything replaced within a few hours. Fair pricing, clear communication, and no upselling. I'll definitely be back for future repairs. Side note- they have the cutest shop kitten. ‍

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

Now three times, I have had wonderful service at this Pep Boys. This time, aside from the oil change, I let them know I was having issues with squeaky brakes. I was taken back and shown my brake pads and given a quote. The price was reasonable and they were fixed in no time. I'll always drive right past Jiffy Lube to Pepboys for fast, honest service. I called Sunday to check on it and they said a technician wouldn't be in until Monday now. Monday rolls around and I call them again first thing in the morning and they tell me the technician doesnt come in until 11am! Not once did I receive a call/email/text regarding my car. I had to constantly call them (if I even got through because they will put you on hold and hang up. Multiple times!) Finally, they tell me that I just need a fuel hose clamp. It is now 310pm on Monday and they are requesting $300 for service and parts and I have until 315pm to decide, for the part to come in the next day. I agree and call back for an update the next morning and they said they would call me as soon as the part came in. Did they? No. Of course not. Then after extending our hotel checkout AGAIN (we are from out of state) at around noon, I called and was on hold for 30 minutes before the rude woman tells me, "oh the part came in and your car is ready". My car was filthy when I got it back. $300 and 4 days later for a hose clamp is ridiculous. Plus the lack of communication and respect for their paying customers should tell you to GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This place deserves 0 stars and I highly reccommend not bringing your vehicle here.
