I did my pool right after Covid times and everyone was charging triple the cost and I was hearing horror stories of people waiting a year for their projects to be completed. After interviewing a few pool contractors and getting multiple bids I knew JCW construction was the company to hire. Not only was he the most knowledgeable but the most affordable contractor. Jason the owner knows what he's doing when it comes to pools. I showed him exactly what I wanted and he designed and built it exactly the way I wanted my pool. I also gave him a 3 month time line and he met the time line. I was very happy about that. Another thing that stood out to me is when I asked for references, Jason sent me about 15 references to call within minutes. EVERY SINGLE PERSON SAID THE SAME THING HE DOES GREAT WORK. The company worked out great for us because we needed to demo a massive in-ground pool, pull all components, and then fill the hole. Todd and his crew were able to squeeze us in October 2025 before the rainy season. After seeing the crew work diligently, with no idle workers or short cuts, we decided to move forward with Todd for our ADU Reno, outdoor kitchen pavilion, and front/back yard landscaping. Originally we had landscape plans from a different designer, but with our swimming pool pivot we decided to utilized Todd's design service for all backyard hardscape areas. Todd communicated plans, pricing, permits, and contracts thoroughly. He stayed on budget and schedule. On-site we saw Fede and Noah daily. They're both great to work with as well. Todd even gifted us some beautiful steel trellis for our garden area. The work everyone put in is absolutely gorgeous. It is currently May 6, and according to the company's own service portal, nobody has serviced my pool since April 17. Despite that, I received a $245 invoice while my pool has developed algae, become visibly dirty, and the system itself is malfunctioning. I reached out multiple times by email with little to no response. When I finally texted, I was told someone would "take a look this week," yet nothing was resolved. As a paying customer, going nearly a month without service while being invoiced in full is completely unacceptable. The most frustrating part is the lack of communication and accountability. If there are staffing issues, transition problems, or scheduling delays, communicate that honestly to your clients instead of disappearing and continuing to bill them. Under the previous ownership, the service was dependable and responsive. Under the current ownership, the experience has been the complete opposite. I cannot recommend this company in its current form based on my experience.
