Great ambiance, good service, and good pizza. That's what I got at Colony Grill. Had to visit the nearby Apple Store and wait for service, so we ventured out around the neighborhood. At the corner, found what looked like a brand new bar (later found out it opened last year but is still pretty new). We were greeted and given a choice of where to sit. Ordered cold drinks and 1 pizza for a party of three, since were not planning on eating a lot. The pizza was great, so we made it a dinner and ordered a second one. I really enjoy the pizza here! I have only ordered takeout from Colony Grill... three times now. I love being able to place my order online and pick-up my pizza from the takeout counter! The pizza! The first time I think I got pepperoni and onion (my favorite toppings to order on a pizza). I didn't care for the pepperoni. The pepperonis are quite large, I prefer the cup and char type of pepperoni, but that's just me being particular. However the next time I got the sausage, onion, sweet peppers, and hot oil! Holy cow, my life has been changed since ordering the hot oil!! I love the slight kick of flavor it gives to the pizza! Let me tell you now that I've had that deliciousness I can't go back. My boyfriend orders his pizza without the hot oil and I had a piece of his and I just simply missed the hot oil. It's the best! Also their sausage is amazing quality, way better than I expected!!! Came at 7pm with my husband on a Friday during March Madness and was seated right away. I ordered the hot oil pizza and my husband ordered a pizza with stingers. This is one of the better Arlington pizza places for sure (as long as you're eating the pizza fresh, it gets increasingly chewier the longer you let your pizza sit). Although the pizza was good, my husband and I were both suffering with the spice level. The waiter jokingly asked if we needed milk that they sell kids :') As for the vibe + service - this is a great place for a casual dinner. There's a lot of stimulus between all the TVs and music so don't expect to come here with your date to have deep intimate conversation. A unique and much welcome pizza joint in the Clarendon area, Colony Grill doesn't disappoint. Now, leave your pre disposed notions at the door: this is not NY slice or chicago pizza or anything like that- it's CT bar pizza. Thin but flavorful, we tried pepperoni, hot oil, sausage, and veggies in two pizzas. Since the pizzas are thin I definitely recommend if you come hungry get a pizza for yourself. Most everyone finished but I couldn't take down my last slice. Decent tasting pizza - I prefer thicker crust - but it was easy to eat! I added a lot of veggies on top and it was delicious. The men's bathroom is wheelchair accessible though there is a tight turn to get into the stall and the pathway to the bathroom is a bit narrow. Manual wheelchairs should be fine but power wheelchairs and scooters may be problematic. Food is excellent and great service. read more

Solid, thin crust pizza that lived up to the hype. I loved the different types of toppings they had and of course, you always have to get the hot oil, which is indeed pretty spicy. I also loved that the crust wasn't too thick and the website was very easy to order takeout on. The only reason they aren't getting five stars, which I think their pizza is, is that their indoor dining is definitely not following COVID social distancing protocols, so that was a bit alarming going inside to pick up my pizzas. One comforting thing about their pickup process is that they have a separate kiosk in the back, behind the bar, with a separate entrance, which is what I will be using from here on out. read more

I love colony grill! I typically end up going once every two weeks (or more). My go-to order is the cheese pizza with hot oil. I was hesitant to try the hot oil at first, but really appreciate how it has a kick but isn't too overwhelming. I'd highly recommend! To-Go Advice: I typically order my food to-go using the online order system. Although I appreciate that the online tool has the ability to request crust well-done, I suggest reheating your food in a toaster oven / oven when you get home so that you get it well-done & hot. I also suggest showing up right at the time indicated in the online ordering system- I've found that it's typically not ready before a minute or two before the time indicated. My husband and I randomly walked in here one night on a walk. They only serve pizza here-it's pretty good! It's very thin and crispy, we enjoyed it. The peppers are VERY SPICY. Be careful! We each got one pizza and finished it them, one whole pizza would be enough for one hungry person. Everyone was seated spaced out and there are plastic dividers up. My new favorite pizza in town. Lets face it, if you've been near New York, you know we don't have any good pizza in the DMV. That's why El Presidente never comes here. Love this style of pie. Like a 12 inch (don't quote me on that) super thin pie. No crust. My friend asked how do you get no crust. I don't know. It's like an infinity pool. The cheese runneth over. It's a nice bar and they serve pizza. So I guess it is bar pizza. Super reasonable, like $10 for a cheese. They also have this spicy infused olive oil to anoint each slice. I don't know, 8.2. Brand new pizza place in Clarendon, it originally started in Connecticut. I found it a little challenging to pick a rating for this place because it was good pizza and I know pizza is done differently all over the country, this was different from what I'm used to. They only serve flat crust pizza with marinara and cheese and from there you pick your other toppings. I tried the hot oil since that's their signature, it was good but definitely makes for a greasy pizza, it has a very light kick to it, which I liked. The onion and sausage half of my pizza was yummy, but not exactly what I'd want if I were truly craving pizza. Additionally, if you're looking for options you're out of luck because they don't serve fries or anything other than pizza, they do have gluten free options. Other things to note were that it was a good environment to watch sports, the staff was very attentive, the beer was good, and mugs cold. Overall, I would say give this place a try and see if it is something you like, but for me I would probably most go to grab drinks. read more

Was I very skeptical of this place? Yes. Was I even more skeptical when I looked on Yelp of pictures of the pizza? Yes. Do I regret my skepticism? Absolutely. First, the pizza does not photograph well but it is incredibly tasty, with a cracker-like crust that holds the toppings well. Second, the hot oil adds quite a bit and actually has a bit of a kick (their stingers are I think serrano peppers and their hot oil infuses olive oil with the stingers). Third, try the stingers at your own risk--they are spicy (I saw this as someone who can handle some spice). Everything was well priced (a pitcher of Blue Moon was around $20 something) and came out quickly. Their service was INSANELY good--our server was better than the servers at Michelin starred restaurants--he anticipated all of our needs, was incredibly knowledgable, came by at exactly the right time. Been to this location about 7 times before, pizza and service were good every time. Went with a friend last Saturday at about 8:30pm. We had to ask to be served and had no idea who our waiter was the entire time. Had to ask for plates and napkins and were never helped once by anyone. Dogshit service. The second pie we ordered was floppy as angel hair pasta. Not sure what happened. However, the cabin John/Potomac location's service and pizza quality is far superior. Crisp and good service. I watched YouTube videos on the famous thin crust pizza and I had to try it! Parking was a bit of a pain in the back, but if you're lucky enough you can score a parallel parking save yourself $15 for parking. The pizza was pizza as pizza should be pizza, but they do thin crust pizza. They make stupid thin crust, it was like eating paper so I didn't feel bad at all. I never eat the crust all the way but this pizza was GONE, only thing I would add is more sauce and make it more burnt so the cheese is more brown. Not bad for $10 read more
