I came here with some pretty high expectations of enjoying a real quality hamburger. I love a good juicy burger and try them all over town. I don't mind paying extra when I have found perfection, and this one was far from it. As you can see from the picture it was more well done and lacked the juiciness and flavor I was looking for. The meat tasted funny, like it was exposed to the open air too long prior to cooking. The cook may have pressed it bit much while grilling and squished all the juice out. Their hand made sauces for dipping were very good. I definitely liked the bbq. Fries were hand cut which I always appreciate. Staffing- Whoever hired these folks hit a home run. Martina was my waitress and she had to be one of the kindest, most attentive that I have had. A big shout out to her! I didn't drink any beer, but I overheard the bar staff and they were extremely knowledgeable about the beer the severed and could explain each perfectly. I sat in the bar area. Very relaxed atmosphere. Several family get together and a few just enjoying lunch and playing cards. The bar is kind of dark, so if you want a little sunshine I would suggest sitting up front by the window or the patio area. Small food menu, but lots of choices. They make up for it with a huge and diverse tap list. Service is friendly and prompt and their location is conveniently located just off Wadsworth. This place is a little gem off of 38th and Reed. While I don't drink alcohol, I can appreciate the list of beers this place offers on tap, all Colorado-sourced (they even have about ten of their own brews on tap). The food menu is also locally sourced. I had the chicken tenderloins and fries and they came out nice and fresh. Great portion size and I even had some to take home! Service was very attentive and didn't mind me moving to a table with better light so I could see my food. The place was over half full on the Friday night I visited. Unlike anywhere I've ever been, if you order the sampler they bring you a rack and let you write your selections right on it in dry-erase marker. No uncertainty about what you got and which one's which...they're right there labeled in your own chicken scratch. Really, really dislike how crammed in the tables are combined with the reverberating acoustics and the fact that they amplify the screaming children whose parents seem to congregate there. My husband got the Philly cheese steak and I got the beef sausage highlighted on the menu. Both were dry and lacking flavor except for cumin in the sausage. Our waiter was friendly enough but not excellent. Weirdly, the greeter seemed put out by our arrival and stuck us in this dark, cold corner. We didn't realize that the bar was seat yourself and much warmer until we had been seated. I'm not sure why he didn't just point us to the bar area. We've been here a few times over the years. We live over an hour away so it's not something local to us. We've always been happy with food and service but OMG guys...I just had possibly the best cheesesteak sandwich of my life! Seriously...no photo to show because I gobbled that thing up fast! And, the well thought out or should I say curated beer selection was unique with lots of hazy styles; the boysenberry pale ale being Summer perfect. The food; we had burgers, perfectly temp cooked, nice toppings selection and a beautiful fresh bun. Coleslaw is fresh, vinaigrette style dressed with fresh grated cabbage and carrots. The house French Fries were Carmel color gems with sea salt. Simple and good, I added malt vinegar. Overall, a little neighborhood gem. They have nightly specials, bogo on beers when I was there. If one logs into their WiFi, you get more specials. So not much to look at but good food, friendly accommodating service, great prices and thoughtful added touches. Well done! read more

Disclaimer: I'm not really a pub kind of girl. But after my Denver friend raved about their Mac and cheese, I was convinced to check it out. Admittedly, it wasn't great. The white cheddar was sharp to a point that it was bitter, and the pork belly and friend leeks did not hold their prominence. Better Mac and cheese to be had at Whole Foods. The salad was uneventful, but again, I'm a foodie eating at a brew pub. Their truffle fries, however, were delicious. It's a great brewery to grab a beer and some food! They have a comfy patio in the front that's dog friendly along with ample seating inside. Also ample? Their food and beer menu. They feature beers brewed in house along with Colorado breweries and their food menu is on point! They have something for everyone....vegetarians, carnivores, those trying to eat healthy, etc. I was not the night we went, I got the black and bleu burger with fries and it hit the spot. My boyfriend and I have been slowly but surely checking all of the highest rated burger joints in the Denver area off our list. Once a week or so, we'll pull up an article or list from one online publication or another, pick a burger joint and give it a shot. Well, last night we were feeling lazy. Colorado Plus is within walking distance, and we hadn't been since 2 days after they had opened (they didn't have a full menu at the time). A 4 star Yelp review was enough for us...we walked on over. First things first: dog friendly patio. They seated us quickly and brought a bowl of water out for the pup. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and awesome. We ordered two flights and each had the Colorado Plus burger (I think that's what it was called). The burgers ere AMAZING. So decadent, it was like eating dessert. Easily in my top 3, if not the best. I can't stop thinking about it...if Colorado Plus doesn't make a best burgers in Denver list very soon, I'll be shocked. The fries and house made chips with dipping sauces were delish too. We will be back to try the rest of the menu in the very near future. Maybe. Why didn't I think of this...a brew pub serving only Colorado Craft beers. For those who have grown up in Wheatridge this place is nestled in the old Valenti's building. The bartenders this evening were all sporting beards,which would make ZZ Top envious, with equally envious beer bellies. The good news? They were guys...whew! Both beer tenders were extremely knowledgable of all the taps and were excited to talk about their own hand crafted barley pops. Its a pretty cool, laid out place, cozy and comfortable. The upstairs area has a unique art collection, bar, couches and set up for private parties. What made this night great, our scrappy lil snowboarding server Michelle. This was a return trip for me. Based on my previous experience with this restaurant, I brought 10 people here for dinner and drinks for my wife's birthday. I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE. The waitress completely blew us off near the end of the meal when everybody was looking for another drink. I actually stood up and walked around the entire restaurant trying to find her to keep the party at my table going. I couldn't find her anywhere and the manager was so busy slinging drinks and hanging at the bar that he didn't even notice that I was trying to get help - impossible to approach. I finally approached another waitress. She said she'd get some service. I guess this didn't bother our server because about 10 minutes after the other waitress said she'd get some help, our waitress showed up, cheery as could be, and asked what drinks everybody wanted. I just asked for the check. I felt sick as I paid this person a tip for a horrible end to an ok meal. I WILL NOT BE BACK - PREVIOUS REVIEWS BE DAMNED! Their selection is constantly being updated/changed which is awesome for those looking to try new things whilst not having to go all over the place. Their food is also delicious! This place offers a huge local craft beers list and other local options like Kombucha. They also have a fully stocked kitchen. Oh, I forgot to mention the patio out front. So many options that it makes it hard to choose. I still haven't tried their home brews because there are too many other options that sound, quite frankly, better to me. The food is great- each time I've been we wind up ordering all appetizers and sharing them amongst the table- they're all great. You can also join their "Flight Club" (the first rule of which is: you DO talk about Flight Club.... and of course the second rule is, you DO talk about Flight Club), which gains you points towards perks. I absolutely love this place, if I lived closer I would go all the time. The food is quite good although a little overpriced. The green chili is maybe the best I've ever had and has a nice smoky quality to it. The staff is very friendly. The ambiance is nice and quite cozy. Now to the good part. I always get flights when I go so I can try as many beers as possible. I like that you write down which beer you want directly on the flight board so there's no confusion, I wish every place did that. Whoever chooses the beer does an incredible job. I've tasted some of the best beers I've ever had to the point where I try to find them again as much as I can. They have many of my favorite styles and it's not uncommon I try a new beer in that style and it becomes my new favorite and blows all of the others out of the water. This place was great! My husband and I went early for lunch while we were visiting for a concert. I had a philly sandwich and my husband a veggie burger both were amazing. We also ordered a flight of beer and it was a fun experience and the beer was good. The service was also nice by the bartender. But the highlight of the meal was the fried pickles! I'm a big fan of fried pickles and if i see them on the menu I will order them, so I believe I know a thing or two of fried pickles. This place has the BEST fried pickles I have ever tasted!! I visited Colorado with my boyfriend for 1 week. We went here twice because the food was so delicious and they have a great beer selection. The waitress helped us out with the best beer according to our taste and she brought us samples to try just so we wouldn't waste our money. The waiter we had the second time was very kind and helpful as well with what he recommended for me (since I don't fancy that strong alcohol taste). They have a 5 sample deal in which you can pick any beer you want for less than $10. The atmosphere was calm and the place was very clean. We're gonna miss this place when we are gone read more

We found this place via Yelp when we were in the area doing some errands. Wow. First of all, the place is physically unpretentious, but don't be fooled by its fairly humble appearance. The food and the service were both outstanding. They feature local/Colorado ingredients and beers. Unfortunately, we aren't drinking right now (a temporary diet thing) so we didn't get to sample their selection, but my husband's ribeye steak and my salad (their Living Salad on the menu, i.e. Fresh, fresh, fresh) were exquisite. The menu had terrific choices and nice balance, even for someone who is watching the calories. We loved the bar: people knew each other, it was relaxed and comfortable. We are definitely coming back to try other menu selections and are excited to try their beers. If they are as good as the food, they should be excellent. Definitely a keeper! read more

As a beer and burger kinda guy I have to admit that the treehugger veggie burger is one of my go to's on the menu. That and the wings. Stop in have a beer or two (watch out though they do usually have a bunch of high gravity beers) and grab a bite. It's good and the staff is always super friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. read more
