We ordered the flatbread pizza with pepperoni and a happy hour order of mussels. The flatbread was very good and the small order of mussels in a curry broth was fine. Nest features a number of $6 treats for happy hour and $6 drinks. We ordered more wine and a well made Old Fashioned which was nicely done with a rock and luxe cherry. We followed with the Crostini trio which had duck pancetta with orange marmalade, wagyu beef and crispy prosciutto with apple butter. The Trio was tasty and the duck was my favorite. We also ordered the Winter salad which was a small wedge with pancetta chunks and blue cheese. The salad was fine but nothing special. I wanted to order the scallops as I had them before (they were the best I've had in town) and they were outstanding, but I wanted to try something different. I ordered the Steak Frites rare and the Drunken Mussels. I have to say I am so happy that I ordered both of these dishes. The steak ftites was perfectly cooked...crispy on the outside with a nice salt and nice and tender inside. It came with fries and a chimichurri sauce. My first bite said it all...as I could not help but shake my head with satisfaction. The waitress caught my reaction and smiled as she walked on. The mussels were prepared with a hint of old Bay in a tasty broth with collard greens and andouille sausage. A slice of toasted cornbread topped it off and was an excellent addition. I'm a big fan of mussels in a traditional mirepoix broth, however, this version stole the show. I was so impressed with the mussels I would order them straight up for a first appetizer every time. Very remarkable. I would order them 10 times over. If you stop by the Nest, make sure you order the Scallops, the steak frites, and the drunken muscles. They were each head and shoulders above anything I found on Saint Simons Island and Brunswick at any other restaurant. Also, our waitress Rain was excellent as she was well-versed in the daily specials and gave us excellent service throughout. Thank you very much for an enjoyable dining experience.

She not only kept up with all of our shenanigans but gave it right back, which made the experience even more fun. Attentive, personable, and just a great vibe all around. We started with peach martinis (highly recommend) along with the fried okra, crab soup, wedge salad, and beet salad. Everything was fresh and full of flavor--great way to kick off the meal. For the main course we tried the flounder prepared a few different ways--one fried, one pan-seared, and one bronzed--and each one was fantastic. And then two orders of scallops which were incredibly buttery and cooked perfectly. We wrapped it all up with a slice of Georgia pecan pie that was the perfect sweet ending. Great food, great service, and a really fun night. We'll definitely be back.

She knows every dish they prepare and explained anything we asked. Absolutely a delight. We had the fried pimento cheese with a Tabasco sauce- so very good and crab stuffed hush puppies. The hush puppies are served on a jalapeño sauce that is top notch. Loved it! For our entrees, husband had triple tail pan roasted with Fingerling Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, Sweet Peppers, Corn, Cipollini Onions, Wilted Kale, Roasted Garlic Aioli. I had swordfish bronzed served with Hoppin' John, Tomato Cream, Pickled Okra. Everything was fresh and prepared well. Go!

One of my favorite restaurants on the island! Excellent and very tasty food and drink options…read more Always a couple of excellent vegetarian or gluten free options. Cocktails are beautifully presented, esp recommend the lemon drop martini. It's in a converted Ponderosa Steak House location so that's a little weird, but they've upgraded it as well as possible. Store on left side of cafe also has nice gift options and outstanding choices of flavored olive oils and vinegars.

Tried Golden Isles Olive Oil on a Tuesday as my wife saw an online Tuesday wine tasting $5 cover…read moreand made a reservation on Open Table. We sat at the bar but learned the Tuesday special was a flight of three bartender choice wines 2 oz pours for $15. Evidently the Wine tasting thing was not current. We've seen many restaurants don't update their web site so it's always a gamble when you show up. Not sure if it was an open table thing or the restaurant. Either way we enjoy wine so my wife ordered a red flight and I ordered a $6 happy hour Italian Pinot Noir. The Pinot was fine and decent pour and my wife sampled the flight. One of the wines was a little off and we both thought it may have soured. She mentioned it to the bartender and he shrugged it off and said it wasn't an old bottle. Mentioned it again and no big deal. Might have been nice to at least offer something else. I'd recommend ordering a glass of what you like rather than waste the $15. For dinner I wanted to try the seared pork ribeye but they were out of stock so I settled for the short rib sandwich on ciabatta bread. My wife ordered the beet and goat cheese salad which she enjoyed and thought was fine. The short rib sandwich was tasty enough but the bread was soft like it came out of a plastic bag. I was hoping for a better quality bread which is important for a sandwich. It wasn't something I would order again. Overall it's a really quaint place with isles of olive oil and items to purchase but the experience was a 2.0 and the food average 3.0 at best. I really expected a bit more especially from the look and feel of the place. Not sure I could get around to wanting to go back to try anything else on the menu. Bartender was nice but overall just not a good experience after a long day of work. I feel bad to leave an unsatisfactory score but I upped my 2.0 to 3.0 as ratings are important and it's probably at least a 3.0.

We arrived for an early dinner and we're greeted by the hostess and bartender. Everyone was very welcoming and they offered us seating anywhere in the bar area. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were offered seating in the dining room. Once we were seated, we ordered wine and the Apple, Pecan, and goat cheese salad (split in two plates). The server brought us both a very nice portion and we thoroughly enjoyed the salad as it was fresh and very tasty. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits which they are known for as being notable and I ordered the Seafood Pot Pie. The shrimp and grits were excellent with a heap of blackened shrimp over a flavorful Gouda course grits. The shrimp were cooked just right. The seafood pot pie had the blue crab bisque as the base and loaded with shrimp, white fish, salmon, and small scallops. It was topped with a puffed pastry square. The pot pie was also an excellent dish that I would definitely recommend. Next time I may come back for the crab bisque as an appetizer. This is a very nice place, with great atmosphere, and very friendly service. I would give it a 5.0 and recommend you try it.

Five stars, no notes…read more Ok, I have notes. This is the best fine-dining experience on the island. Yes, Woodside exists, and is quite good. But Delaney's is better. First, the service. I ate here twice over the course of a week, once at the bar, and once in the dining room. Michael took great care of us at the bar, and Devin was fantastic in the dining room. Also, a shout out to the short little Hispanic fellow who delivers those delightful warm rolls--incredible! The second time I visited, we had to wait a few minutes while our table was prepared. In maybe six minutes total, no less than seven different servers approached us to make sure we were being taken care of. Forget about the menu you see online. The specials are where it's at. Both meals I had, there were at least five appetizer specials, and nearly double that for mains. I won't go through a blow-by-blow of every dish, but suffice it to say every single thing we ate was perfection. And even after salads, our mains, and sharing two desserts and three appetizers, we left feeling satisfied but not bloated, a testament to the quality of the food. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.

First I have to give a shout out to our waiter Devon. He managed to list all the specials slow enough that I was able to keep track and remember them. Usually I give up about half way through. Anyway, his service was also excellent. I ordered the duck which I have had there before and oh my goodness it was even better. The outside skin was grilled perfectly and had a nice bite to it. My husband had the pork steak schnitzel. He shared one little piece with me and it literally melted in your mouth. I told him next time I was getting it - it was that good. So big decision next time I go back as I loved loved loved the duck. We typically don't order dessert but hey it was Valentine's Day. My husband ordered the key lime pie which was monumental as he is super picky and never ever has anything good to say when he does get it. That changed- he declared it was real key lime pie and would order it again. My chocolate Guinness cake was also excellent. So as you can tell, I definitely recommend this place and the fact that they just keep getting better is phenomenal!
